Calderwood sacked after ‘bung’ enquiry.
Sunday, July 2 2006
In shocking circumstances former Scottish international football, Colin Calderwood has been sacked as manager of the Tricky Trees after he was discovered that his move from Northampton Town was part of a ‘bung’ enquiry.
Chairman, Nigel Doughty has been forced to sack the Scottish man with mutual consent as it would be too hard to work at a football club when he will probably end up facing an enquiry and probably be given a ban from the FA anyway.
Forest are the only ever winners of the UEFA Champions League to be playing at such a low level when they where relegated from the Coca-Cola Championship two seasons ago, which saw the former European Champions enter league one but they couldn’t gain straight promotion and they are here for a second straight season but they are hopeful they can get out of the division this time.
In the past couple of years, Nottingham Forest have had the best youth academy in probably the whole of England when they produced such players as Jermaine Jenas, Michael Dawson, Andy Reid, Marlon Harewood, David Prutton and even Shaun Wright-Phillips although he never made it to the first team.
Later in the day, Nigel Doughty have decided to appoint the former Liverpool and Rosenborg defender, Vegard Heggem as their new manager of the League one outfit and he hopes to become a top manager and work his way up to the Premiership within five years.
Heggem will begin his pre-season away to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in I think around seven days where he hopes to probably have a few new signings in order to play, but he knows it’ll be difficult to manage to buy them as they are only a League one club but he hopes some players will join.

Vegard Heggem hopes to bring the glory days back to the Midlans giants
