I know Pheenix went a bit over the top but it seems a bit out of character for him and tbh he only said what a few others in recent days probably had to grit their teeth and restrain themselves from saying as well, maybe he could worded it differently but still. Just a shame one of the top cutters and contributers on this site is quitting/possibly banned because of this.

PS: Santi is maybe from Poland,but the spanish faces are dominating his area of interest.Maybe we should deactivate REQUEST threads,and hope to bring in the real contributors for the MEGAPACK,not working for individuals but working for the TEAM,for the game.Is it just statistics or what...portuguese people want the new porto or benfica cuts,clearly uninterested for the megapack,just to have their league faces.I'm not aiming them particulary but the real fact is that the requester wants faces from their native league...NORMAL!Since there are still thousends of faces to be cut,I'm proposing a new set of threads (killing the old ones) where there will be no separated individual or alternates (some people here was smart to do their requests on Alternative whether they downloaded the MP or not,just because they think that there is better chance to have the cut in that thread).We are playing chess game here.I'm thinking...having ONE (united) request thread for individual cuts,but with more agressive approach from the cutters.Somehow the atmosphere is here like...."We need to bring here as much people involved in the game as possible".Hell no.We need the TEAM,contributors in both ways,researchers and cutters,not some 12 yrs robinho tongue out lovers.So Rowan and other CONTRIBUTORS,don't be affraid loosing possible readers-downloaders.He [or she] who like this,he'll be around...

I certainly hope you will reconsider pheenix. I noticed that your activity was massively down in recent times but thought it was due to other commitments. The fact that sneijder, crookes, mmanolis you (and until recently onielpapas) were doing much less (or none) was a concern to me. I suspect that what is going on with the requests has something to do with it. I suggest taking a week away from the boards and coming back refreshed. We need cutters of your quality and dedication to realise the potential of FM10 packs.

My initial reaction to that is harsh but I can see the benefits. My only concerns would be 1 - it is a community and that spirit is (was until recently) important and 2 - requesters (even the annoyin ones) do sometimes unearth good pictures.

What we have to consider is the best way to keep people active until FM10, hopefully even FM11 and beyond. In the first couple of weeks we had over 10000 DLs IIRC. There is big interest in what we are doing here.

edit: thought about it some more. I think it's a good idea. An individual thread calling on posters to identify WHY they want the pic. Cutters can then make their own judgement call. Some -eg circly - like to do individual requests (we should remember that not all have the same opinion). We have several very good researchers/organisers. Perhaps a thread for posting good source requests and one request thread is all we need. We have too many threads now for the situtaion we're in. In an ideal world it would work perfectly but it's definitley been sidetracked.

bakizp. Think you're right, it's something I've been wrestling with for a while now, and now that we have the extra tools provided by David.Curtis it should be easier to manage new requests.

Seems a shame to close the threads based on a couple of numpties, but the number of those people is growing inversely to the number of cutters on here.

I shall close the Ind. request thread & create a new Megapack Filler thread. But what shall we do about the alt. thread? We probably still need somewhere where proper researchers that find newer/improved images can post so we can improve the MP....shll we keep that one open, but state VERY clearly it will only be done if the cutter a) likes the image thinks it will improve the MP ?

Rowan - we NEED a MP filler thread. Along with that, we need a place for SSP/HJS and others to post quality sources (both HQ and rareities). I think the IND and the ALT can go.

What I'm getting at is -I think that all requests go in one place (the MP filler thread). If SSP and team think there are really good sources they can add them to the "Resource" thread. All cut pictures go on one thread. TOTALLY SERPARATE, with just cuts. Anything else to be deleted as soon as possible. Whether we keep the Facepacks thread is a moot point at the moment as tht isn't causing the problems. Same goes for the oter utility threads.

Problem is geordie, nobody reads page one. I think it was recently someone posted something like "Looks like I really will have to look at page 1" after being denied a request. THat is symbolic IMO.

Was going to sticky it under the Megapack thread. Now this is our own sub-forum we can do what we like with it

I get what you're saying 70club, but having a thread for hjs, etc's HQ images is the same as having an alt one anyway, anyone could still post in it....I obviously just need to keep a better control over the requests we are getting.

True Rowan. It would need ruthless deleting, but only initially. I realise that it takes time to manage a thread. Is there anyway that you can delegate that? A thread where people can post(and thus scroll through) good sources coupled with a place to post them would be ideal. Shovelling all requests into one MP filler thead might be messy but would keep everything in one place. David's tool means that cutters would be clear on what needs cut....and requesters the same.

OK,pretend that u r newcomer ,registered yesterday....I think that the rules around here are way too much complicated [because they are composed from the earlier experiences,like every rule in the world].We should make this as simple as we can....terminating the Ind and Alt [joining into one] with the STRICT rule now when David's tool appeared.I mean,it's easy to ignore...but eventually the guy will copy paste his request,and so on...From now on,there will be separated thread for action cuts {for those who like tongues}.The default menu is David's web library.

Of course the collars are out of question

At the moment it doesn't mention Alt/Improvement on the MP images simply because that might become a bit of a subjective grey area.....

I'm all for improving image in there, but we might get into debates over certain images. For that reason I still think an alt. thread is worth maintaining....
