Stuart Naylor is a 7 Star Goalkeeping Coach.

I'll be on the lookout for more.

Stuart Naylor is a 6 Star GK Coach

19*2 = 38 + 20 + 12 + 15 =85 < 90 (;

and I'm sorry but I can't see where Franco Baldini is a 6 Star Coach for Ball Control and Tactics - he ain't even 5 Star for me

..and I have to say that the coaches from Liverpool are unbelievable bad.

In that case his attributes must vary from game to game as he is a 7 star GK couch at my Inter Team

I think you should make a formula for the youth team training and for the assistant coach and fisio.

There's hardly any point sharing your 6/7-star coaches with each other cos most coaches get variable attributes (equivalent to getting a 0 in data editor)

What I did was to set filters to determination > 12, discipline > 12 and motivating > 12 (up to you to toggle with the figures, depending on which attribute you find more important) and then set views to Coaching Attributes and you can cross refer to the Formulae given. Toggle between Coaching/Mental Attributes to see if the DDM is up to mark.

A pity is that I don't know if coaches' coaching attributes will actually increase with time as I noticed that they have CA/PA too. :(

Hope that helped!

guys, i have made a spreadsheet that will tell you how many stars a coach is going to be based on the scores in the original post. its spot on for 5, 6 & 7 stars (not so below that as i guessed the ratings based on what is given). ive tested it in my game and seems to work fine. if this is of any use to anyone email me at stuzzy123@yahoo.co.uk and ill send you it. helps with searching for coaches (or you can use a calculator like in the old days). all you do is type in his stats and the formula works it out.
email me if you think it'll be useful.

DDM = Determination + Discipline + Motivating

Strength and Aerobics

Fitness * 9 + DDM * 2
>= 270 -> 7
>= 240 -> 6
>= 210 -> 5

Goalkeeper

Goalkeeping * 2 + DDM
>=90 -> 7
>=80 -> 6
>=70 -> 5

Tactics

Tactics * 2 + DDM
>=90 -> 7
>=80 -> 6
>=70 -> 5

Ball Control

Technique * 6 + Mental * 3 + DDM * 2
>=270 -> 7
>=240 -> 6
>=210 -> 5

Defense

Defense * 8 + (Tactics + DDM) * 3
>=360 -> 7
>=320 -> 6
>=280 -> 5

Attack

Attacking * 6 + Tactics * 3 + DDM * 2
>=270 -> 7
>=240 -> 6
>=210 -> 5

Shooting

Technique * 6 + Attacking * 3 + DDM * 2
>=270 -> 7
>=240 -> 6
>=210 -> 5

Set Pieces

(Attacking + Mental + Technique) * 3 + DDM * 2
>=270 -> 7
>=240 -> 6
>=210 -> 5

Examples:

strength, aerobics
fit 20 + ddm>= 45 =7
fit 19 + ddm>= 50 =7
fit 18 + ddm>= 54 =7
fit 17 + ddm>= 59 =7

goalkeeper
gkp 20 + ddm>= 50 =7
gkp 19 + ddm>= 52 =7
gkp 18 + ddm>= 54 =7
gkp 17 + ddm>= 56 =7
gkp 16 + ddm>= 58 =7
gkp 15 + ddm>= 60 =7

tactics
tac 20 + ddm>= 50 =7
tac 19 + ddm>= 52 =7
tac 18 + ddm>= 54 =7
tac 17 + ddm>= 56 =7
tac 16 + ddm>= 58 =7
tac 15 + ddm>= 60 =7

defense
def 20 + (tac+ ddm)>=67 =7
def 19 + (tac+ ddm)>=70 =7
def 18 + (tac+ ddm)>=72 =7
def 17 + (tac+ ddm)>=75 =7
def 16 + (tac+ ddm)>=78 =7
def 15 + (tac+ ddm)>=80 =7

Example

Some people have difficulty understanding the way I presented it, so here's an example:

Open Meulensteen in the data editor:
det=18 dis=18 mot=18
ddm=18+18+18=54
tac=15
att=18
def=12

Tactics Rating:
15 *2 + 54 = 84 -> 6 star

Attack Rating:
18 *6 + 15 * 3 + 54 *2 = 261 -> 6 star

Defense Rating:
12 * 8 + (15 + 54) * 3 = 303 -> 5 star

For those who can't understand this theory i put one download for them TRY it.....

Once upon a time ,it was a guy named mark.I dont know some mark tugwell ,some tuwgell .Anyway some tug.This guy declared that he had excellent trainings.Imagine...Because time is going forward (hopefully or not)I made one site which has a lot of training and tactics .This is my only message about this site ,because as you say here in England or UK ,correct me ,to repeat one link in one forum is spam.You know ,we have democracy ,ofcourse we mustnt forget it .Democracy with queen and freedom with million banners in the net which are not restricted because ...we must have freedom of expression .So ,I put below my poor link and ok if you dont like it because it annoys you ,like the fact that England watched the Euro from 2008 from the sofa ,sorry pub.Its ok ,democracy is to delete what you dont like ,obviously this kind of democracy you apply it to the bloggers and not to the companies or sites who have thousand banners and spams.Do I exaggerate ?If yes ,dont worry ,good America will bring the order again and will bomb some belgrade ,yugoslavia and zagreb.Now If say god bless america I will be banned maybe ?or even better deleted ?

Its not a vampire ,it cannot bite you

Hey ,you can delete my post ,lovers of democracy and free thought.

Thanks for the explanation of the formula! I generally manage teams where I'm happy w/3-4 star ratings, but it's very helpful to know how the ratings are generated.

Keep up the good work!
