Heard earlier that some important person from Quebec City has been talking with Bettman about maybe putting a team up there again.

Oh dears. Good play in the 3rd though.
Going to need to improve. Going 3 down against the Islanders is not cool. I get the impression we're trying to build for the future so we can become a force in a few year. Last year it all came together and it was always going to be difficult to repeat that, but either way we should be doing better.
Having said that, we've started similarly for the last 3 or 4 seasons and we'vemade the playoffs in the last two seasons. But then the seasons after the lockout we were awful.
Meh.

Calgary had a 5-0 lead on the Blackhawks at the end of the first period last night.
Final score: Chicago 6 - 5 Calgary.
FAIL.
On a serious note, Calgary completely deserved to lose. They gave up after the first period and seemed content to sit back and watch Chicago chip away at, and eventually take, the lead. Kiprusoff was visually agitated with the Calgary defending, or lack thereof. One of the worst performances by an NHL team I've seen in awhile.
Kudos to the Hawks though, great comeback.

Ahh, 3-0 against the North Stars on hte road. That's more like it.
Leafs are bottom too. The worse they do, the better off we are in the draft. \o/

Wouldn't it be ironic if the Leafs got the 1st overall pick?

Montreal looks pretty sh*te lately

They need Markov back real bad. And some skilled size (Laraque does not count)

I know. Behind Islanders and everything.

But actually, the only point they have they got from you so...
Woah. Buffalo are actually doing quite well. Ottawa too. What the f*ck is going on here? :|
Nashville at home next up. Need to win that as a matter of pride.

5 points from the last 3 games. That's more like it.
Toronto. So tragic.
Northeast Division.
Buffalo - 13
Ottawa - 12
Boston - 11
Montréal - 10
Toronto - 1
Gahaha.

NJ and Edmonton next week. Could prove tricky.

Ehh.
We've won every other game this season. Bit of a worry. I mean, keep playing as we're playing and we'll probably scrape the playoffs, but I don't want to scrape the playoffs. Last year gave us a taste of being awesome and there's no reason why we can't pull it off again.
Need some back to back wins to build some momentum. Next 3 games are Rags, Wings and Habs. Tricky. Win two of those games then beat Buffalo and Florida and we're having a conversation.
Leafs are starting to get some points now too. Hopefully they'll stay bottom, need their draft places.
Shutout against the Oilers though. That must be a confidence booster.
