So, how happy are people with their signings/sales so far, and what do you want from the season ahead?
Bit dead in here, bring back the Swindon fan?

Meh. Mostly been signing very unknown entities. I remember Kishishev being quite good back in the day though.
Got Wednesday away on my birthday. Disappointed. Was hoping to have a home game/Southampton/Bournemouth and then do something in the evening.

This has gone way to statisical (not sure if that's a word but never mind). Nic's tried to be too clever, if we wanted to know the tables we'd just check on BBC Sport or something like that.
Anyway, we signed three players so far; Lewis Chalmers, Tyrone Barnett and Richard Butcher. We're in talks with a midfielder, a striker and a keeper atm accorinding to the gaffer.
Our kit has been released too. I like it.

Boo hoo why don't you sign a petition?

All I did is put table's in, is that a crime?

Has anyone seen Southamptons new home kit?..

Hideous and against their tradition. I don't get why they did it.

Nah, I'm okay thanks. No it's not a crime, i never said it was actually. I just think it looks pretty poor tbh.

Southampton's kit looks pretty horrible tbh!

125th anniversary, iirc. Going back to their original style - even though the sash originally went the other way across the shirt.
Anyone know of any signings they've actually made yet? Offhand I can't think of them bringing in anyone.

They should win this league with ease without any signings. If they don't then wow.

The certainly have the forward line to, and there's something to be said for stability, but you'd have thought they would at least be bringing in replacements for the loanees they've lost since the end of the season - Antonio (or whatever his name was) is the one that springs to mind.
Not going to be a cakewalk, though. Sheffield Wednesday look very, very good with their signings. Mellor could be a class act at this level, and with pros like Darren Purse they're more than capable of bouncing straight back. Town are also stronger than last season, finding the experience we lacked, and Peterborough are another side that are stronger now than the last time they were at this level.

Peterborough have lost their manager now though which got them to the Championship, and I can't see them doing as good without him.
Sheffield Wednesday could well finish in the top 2 but Southampton just have some to class proven players at this level.

Wednesday have improved alot and not lost many players. A much better side than last season and could probably do alright in the Championship with that squad.
I'm starting to wish we'd gone down now, we've got an awful squad at present with just one striker (plus a couple of kids) and I can't see us staying up. Narrowly staying up and then going down the following year is just a waste of a year really.

If Portsmouth and Crystal Palace get a point deduction and Scunthorpe lose Hooper, I can easily see them 3 ending up relegated, instead of Watford.
Apparently John Eustace failed a medical for us and then signed a new contract for you. Is he any good?

Gary Johnson. I know it went a bit stale at Bristol City at the end, but that man is a top-class manager for this level and the Championship. Peterborough will do well with him, I reckon.
And agreed on both Wednesday and Southampton fronts, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Which is why we all love football.

John Ruddy's joined Norwich on a 3-year deal. Believe he had a very successful down at Motherwell last season, so it looks like it might be a good move for all involved.

Watford's new captain says claims he failed Leeds United medical is 'total rubbish'
Just a change of heart, probably because he got offered the captaincy at Watford.
He was sh*te (John Useless) for a season and a half then had a great second half of last season and was one of our best players. Not sure if that warrants the captaincy mind but we'll see.
As for staying up. Here's a quick indication of our squad. Ages are in brackets, players in green are home grown.
GK:
Scott Loach (22)
Rene Gilmartin (23)
Def:
Adrian Mariappa (23)
Jure Travner (24)
Lloyd Doyley (27)
Dale Bennett (20)
Martin Taylor (30)
Mat Sadler (25)
Rob Kiernan (19)
Lee Hodson (18)
Tom Aldred (19)
Mid:
Scott Severin (31)
Don Cowie (27)
Stephen McGinn (21)
Ross Jenkins (19)
John Eustace (30)
Will Buckley (20)
Str:
Michael Bryan (20)
Danny Graham (24)
Liam Henderson (20)
Marvin Sordell (19)
EDIT: just calculated the average age, it's 22.9
EDIT2: just to clarify how bad the striking situation is. Danny Graham has a total of 40 starts under his belt. Bryan has 1, Sordell has 1 and Henderson has 0.
