Silkmen Sign Wedgbury
I'm happy with this one. He must be a good player if Sheffield United bought him for a 5 figure sum a few years ago.
I genuinely think if we get a few more players in then we could be the suprise package this season.

Quite happy with our summer so far. Cleared out a huge amount of dead wood (and Steve Elliot

), got rid of Lennie Lawrence (a year overdue) and have brought in 3 players from higher divisions and one hungry youngster.
In:
Wayne Brown - Fulham
Harry Pell - Charlton
Gary Sawyer - Plymouth
Will Hoskins - Watford
Disappointing to miss out on Dan Jones and Paul Heffernan, but at least we covered them.
Next up is a replacement goalkeeper for Mikkel Andersen, seemingly either Jonathan Tuffey on a permanent deal, or Mikkel Andersen back again on another loan (long-shot I'd say).
Only thing we're worryingly short of is central defenders and we still haven't replaced Rickie Lambert in the target man role. The fans want Richard Brodie, I want Akinfenwa...the manager seemingly wants nobody.

Andersen is very highly rated by the club but is alongside a brilliant group of young goalkeepers and will find it hard to breakthrough, even though he was goalkeeper of the Toulon tournament for Denmark. I hope he is at least our number 2 this season but I'd say he's probably third choice so another season on loan with you would be ideal imo.

Good luck with Will Hoskins, Aidy said he was going to be amazing but Rodgers and Malky didn't rate him and never gave him a chance. We're still not sure if he's good or not. Could be blinding could be sh*te.

We've completed the signing of Neill Collins, and we've paid a fee?!
Happy with the signing though, he's a proper solid defender and doesn't try to be clever or anything, but just gets the ball away. We had him on loan for the end of the last season.

Local radio reporting that Chris O'Grady is having a medical at Huddersfield tomorrow. Got quite a few strikers, haven't they?

Jonny Tuffey on trial at Brizzle Rovers. Could be a return to Firhill for him quicker than thought with us facing you in 2 weeks.

News to me. And we've only got 4, one of whom is on the loan list.

Any news on Drinkwater going back to your lot for the coming season? Hard to keep up with the lower profile youngsters, no offence.

Simon Walton, anyone know much about him? Not the most inspiring signing seeing as he couldn't get in at Crewe.

Ex Newcastle, in the u18's he had an unbelievable partnership with Chopra that carried through to reserves, never really got a chance. He's got a bit of pace but his touch it poor, meaning his pace is only really compensation. He thrives on long balls.

Signed Ashley Barnes. Expected it. Was decent enough last season. Signed him in a similar way to how we signed Zamora too. Not saying anything.

Apparently we're in for Fraser Forster on a season long loan now. Get him in and a £3m striker to replace Fletcher and we are sorted!

We've signed Lloyd Sam on a free. Good signing, but I still doubt this team can make anywhere near the playoffs.

We've signed Kalifa Cisse from Reading. I remember him having a very good game against us in the recent past, hopefully a good signing.
