Wednesday baled out by their bank giving them a loan. Which makes no financial sense, as that just means their debts to other places mount up, meaning they'll be haemorrhaging money regardless of whether this tax bill is settled.

The mighty Leeds reserves were held to a 1-1 draw against lowly Grimsby reserves last night. Pretty decent Leeds team out aswell, included McCormack, Grella, Bromby, Faye, Clayton and Somma...

Theo's gone to Millwall on loan until December. Quite disappointed about that one.
Still, when your fifth-choice striker is going on loan to a side the division above, something must be going right somewhere.

Their main debtor is the Co-op bank, which stands at more than £20M (before yesterday). If they had gone into administration the Co-op bank would have only got 10p from the pound in what they owe.
It'll happen sooner or later though. Nobody is going to buy them in that situation, unless some brain dead fan wins the Euro Millions.

Naysmith out for 4 months. Are we just cursed in the left-back position? Assuming Clark brings in a player on loan, this will be the 10th player to play there in 2 years. On the plus side, it might be a chance for the young lad Ridehalgh to make it very difficult for Naysmith to get straight into the first team on his return.

Nigel Adkins to Southampton. You heard it here (And on numerous other football websites...) first.

Apparantly the Adkins deal is now dead. Soton want him to resign so they don't have to pay compensation, but he won't do that or something.

He could advertise what he's paying, couldn't he? Bet it's minimum wage...

Adkins is a man of principle. And if that's true regarding what Southampton wanted him to do, it's absolutely disgraceful.

Amdy Faye signed until January. Played vs Grimsby and did alright. Just what we need in the centre.

Deary me.

Eddie Howe has turned down the Southampton job. I guess you wouldn't know who that is unless you've heard him doing interviews on the local news. He's Bournemouths boss. He's a good manager, but that's getting a bit desperate isn't it? Sacking someone with Premier League experience and getting someone who, as of the start of the season, had only managed in League 2. For two seasons.
Nicola is clearly a knob. Sounds like Lowe but shadier. Out of the frying pan...

I reckon Adkins will end up going there. Can't imagine Scunny wanting much compo.
Interesting interview with Ken in the paper today and he also said Burnley offered Grayson a lot more money than he was on but he turned it down.

I doubt he'll go now though. Probably would see it as a source of conflict with the chairman.

Or unless you take an interest in English football. It's not really getting desperate, like you said he's a good, young manager. Take my hat off to him because that's a few 'bigger names' that he's turned down now.
We took Robins from Rotherham, after a couple of seasons in League Two, and he's doing well for us. What happened to Phil Brown?
