Some of it sounds useful, mostly the number crunching stuff, because although you can work a lot of it out simply by reading match reports, it can be a chore to do it week on week.

All the formational and player preference stuff is pretty much just copying across a few values from one screen to another (a lot of FM updates in recent years have been like this). Any FM player worth their salt should have a good take on each team in their league (at the least), what players are going to play is very easy to work out at a glance, and most AI managers don't change their starting formation very often. I feel this is another feature list for the newbies (which is fine) masquerading as a real feature, but will be passed over by most players.

I can see it being more interesting if the scouts level of ability (presumedly 'tactical awareness') really has a large factor in the quality of this scouting.

Hoping for some features that actually add things to the game for those who've been at it for going on two decades....
