With all of debts now cleared I was given £20M transfer budget to strengthen the squad.

Before any players arrived at the club there was a number of departures. Midfielder Carlos Villanueva had been making noises of joining a bigger club and so joined Koln for £5M. A few fringe players where shipped out along with some younger players leaving on loan while three players joined the club.

First in was Karim Zouita who joins the club for a fee of £4M from Georgian side Zestaponi. Zouita will add some much needed competition to the left flank and can alos play accross the middle of the pitch.

Next in was Filipe Neves who joined from Braga for £3.1M with the depature of Villanuea I was a bit short across the middle and Neves will fill this void and should develop into a top class player.

Diego Buonanotte joined from Malaga for £3.1M and walks into my side as a first choice left winger, a quality player and a real coup for the club landing him.

Finally I need another play, a big name to show our ambition, to show the club is growing and the Greek league is getting stronger, stay tunned...

March seen us play in the Greek Cup semi final alongside the end of league campaign. We kicked the month of with the Greek Cup Semi Finals against Panachaiki and by the end of the first leg the tie was over after a convincing 5-0 win, with the tie over a fringe side picked up a 0-0 draw in the second leg as we booked our place in the cup final with a 5-0 aggragate win. In the league we ended the season with two wins to round off a successful campaign.

With the league wrapped up and our UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid we only had the Greek Cup left to play for in March. The month kicked off with Greek Cup quarter final replay at home to Olympiacos. A Larsen Toure strike had out Olympiacos into an early lead before a Kostas Manolas strike brought us level. In the second half two Darron Gibson goals ended the tie and booked our place in the Semi Final.

Three days later we faced Olympiacos in the league where we produced our best performance of the season with Vitinho grabbing a hat trick. Before our next league fixture against Ast. Tripolis we lost goalkeeper Martin Mannel to a strained wrist which would rule him out for two weeks while defender Vangelis Moras picked up a double hernia ruling him out for five weeks. In an extremely one sided game goals from Cavenaghi and Vitinho gave us a 2-0 win over Ast. Tripolis before we recorded a 4-2 win away to rivals Pananios.
