Defensively they were awful, cut to shreds repeatedly, and if not for Munir's inability to finish would have had 6-7.

Going forward they were fine, Bravo had a great game.

Real getting thumped is one of my favourite things in football. I listened to it on BBC 5 Live and it sounded like Ronaldo and Bale were anonymous for nearly the whole game, I honestly forgot Bale was playing until they mentioned his name at about 70 minutes.

The longer Benitez keeps his job at Madrid the better, said at the beginning of the season that his appointment effectively handed Barca the title, I actually feel more threatened by Atletico in truth, they are capable of winning the title again once their forward players really click. Griezmann is obviously a huge threat and Carrasco looks quality but to think they also have Jackson Martinez, Vietto, Correa, Oliver Torres ... got a great squad which should see them finish strongly.

The battle for 4th is going to be quality, very open and anyone could take it, Valencia, Sevilla & Athletic are struggling and Villareal are a shadow of the side they were last year especially on the flanks, Should be a right old scrap!

Suarez & Neymar over the past month or so though ... absolutely unplayable 95% of the time and now Messi is back as well!

Yeah they only won 10-2 bit rubbish really, Rayo Vallacano were 2-1 up early on then had two men dismissed before the break!

Barcelona would've scored 11 though. #RafaOut.

Getting two men sent off against Real Madrid isn't advisable.

Luckily for Rafa those 2 red cards and the fact Madrid didn't take pity on Rayo have saved him from embarrassment because judging by the opening 15 minutes prior to the reds Rayo were good value for their lead, there are still massive issues for Rafa regardless of a 10-2 win.

Credit to Rayo as well for still trying to get forward with 9 men, it's a bit naive and that shows in the scoreline but you have to admire their mentality, about time Paco got a chance at a bigger club I think, would've done a decent job at Valencia.

Didn't Barcelona still sign Turan and Vidal even though they were banned? Pretty sure Real and Atletico will do the same.

They can still sign players but will be unable to register them to play in any European competitions, they would only be able to play in friendlies. Barca signed Vidal & Turan but couldn't play them until the ban was lifted when this window opened, they also signed a further 85 players for their various squads so registered 87 players when the window opened.

So with regards to De Gea he can sign for Madrid but would have to accept not playing football until the ban is lifted.

What's the rules regarding buying players but loaning them out?

Fine I think.

They just can't register players, thats all. They can buy that registration from another club, and give a third club permission to loan the player. They just can't register them themselves.

I thought the ban came into place the next two windows? So they can still buy and register players in this window.

Fantastic stuff, Atletico win 1-0 away at Real. First time anyone has ever gone to the Bernabeu and won 3 in a row.

Well, it happened a bit later than I thought, but Gary Neville sacked at Valencia. Back to sunny Salford!

The ref signalled a push on Alba, even though Bale's hands were in the air above Alba. Doesn't matter though because Ronaldo scored just afterwards. Oh and Ramos sent off for the 432nd time in his career.

Horrendous indeed. It was a great header and he just jumped higher than Alba.

Really good second half of El Clasico, first half not so much.
