was a strange move for januzaj to go there in the first place, but glad he's back, i don't think he's good enough but he can do a job until the summer...

The fact that Notts County fans aren't bothered at all make me nervous, although the first half against us earlier in the season he bossed the midfield.

Gotta trust the gaffer.

Good news that Adnan is coming back.

Should never have gone out on loan in the first place.

Nope, should have gone permanent, massively over-hyped at Utd.

FFS he's 20 years old.

His season under David Moyes, despite burning out a bit at the end, was hugely exciting. Not just because he was showing promise, but because he was making game winning contributions. Nothing to do with being over-hyped, he was just very good.

His big problem, apparently, is his attitude. If this six months impresses on him the need to work harder, then hopefully it won't have been a complete waste of time.

At least it might add a bit flair back to the team as its boring as fuck watching Utd nowadays!

His bad attitude bred from the fact that the whole club & it's fans thought he was Maradona!! I'm sure LVG will keep his feet on the ground while he's still there though, but Moyes was never going to.

Benik Afobe to Bournemouth seems certain to happen then (personal terms to be decided yet). Has done very well for Wolves, but had his head turned in the summer by Prem teams and now seems to be on the way as the owner of the club is selling up. Don't imagine him setting the Prem alight ala Vardy, but could get a couple of vital goals to keep Bournemouth up!

Bournemouth bring in another striker, Grabban. One of those who is good at Championship level but never quite sure if he will cut it in the Prem.

Meanwhile Sunderland bring in N'Doye of Hull "fame". Don't see him making the difference, would have thought Crouch would be the better option. Re-unite him and Defoe as a strike partnership!

Sunderland really chancing it this year with an injury prone defender and a badly out of form striker his only additions (if you believe him).

That said still the chance of them managing to offload Lens or Fletcher and go from there.

Everyone's favourite striker, Bendtner, could be on his way back to England with Newcastle United after the player according to the German papers! I guess it is a possibility given Cisse has failed to do anything since Ba left, De Jong I have not seen really play much - or never noticed him - and Mitrovic can't seem to find his feet. I still think teams are missing out on Crouch. He's just playing cup games for Stoke and could easily still do a job in the Prem in my opinion, at least for a mid table team or below.

Nicklas Bendtner has always been a good striker, he just lacks the attitude to go with it.

I'd rather we had a go for Crouch than fucking Bendtner. But apparently there's no truth to the rumour of him coming to us.

The Dragovic rumours are back! Pretty much a year since we were last 'close' to him.

£16M is the rumoured fee and the deal is 'hours away'. Let's see.

Berahino cut from 20/1 a few days ago to 1/2 to sign for us.

Attitude problem but clearly a good player, young and English.

Thauvin going back to France too, unsure why we keep buying attacking midfielders from France and playing them on the wing, whinging that they're shit after 5 games then dropping them and wondering why they aren't getting any better.

Either buy a winger, play these players in their proper position or buy someone who's proven in the Premier League. It's not hard. We've wasted 30m on Cabella and Thauvin and we'll get back about 15m at the most.

Townsend and Berahino plus a left back and we've had a successful transfer window again - don't think we'll get a left back though

When fit and on form (hasn't been for a while) and not suspended or away on international duty or whatever.

Played 17 times since the start of 14/15 and is getting on.

Good servant to the club but 8m isn't a fee to baulk at, would have liked to see him stay until the end of the season though in case the Saivet/Shelvey experiment doesn't work.

Since the end of the 5th place season, he's not been consistent in any way. He's had episodes of playing something like his form in his first two seasons, including of late, but its mostly been unimpressive.

£8m for a 29-year-old who has been far too inconsistent works out I guess.

Southampton have signed Charlie Austin for £4m.

Well... seeing as he's apparently a boyhood Saints fan and cba with moving from the South, guess it was to be expected NUFC wouldn't land this one. Ho hum.

Rumours about that they've signed him as a replacement for Shane Long who is off to Anfield.

tbf if Tiote asked to leave I'd get rid as I'd worry he'd just 'get injured' and fuck off for a while. If not selling a good player in the middle of a season when you're in a relegation battle is silly.

I don't think Newcastle were interested. Bizarre, I think he'd improve every club in the League aside from Arsenal/Man City. £4m is nothing.

I think the logic is we saw the talk of £20m for him in 2012 but didn't cash-in, and he's depreciated since. £8m for a 29-year-old who gets habitually yellow carded and can be inconsistent is not a bad deal. Its not £20m good, but its decent enough. Its odd that his best form has been of late when talk of a move is up.

Also talk of Gouffran pissing off, with Lille wanting him and talk of a £900k move. Still not sure about the merits of Townsend to NUFC, as many are still rumouring, mind. Maybe if he kicks on like JJ Shelvey did today, then it might work.

The only concrete bids in the summer, or at least reported, came from Leicester and someone else who I can't remember (could it have been Bournemouth?). I know there was a habitual series of articles by all sort of people that we wanted to bring Austin to Newcastle but maybe it was just a 2+2 by media figures given how much we struggled to score when in reality it may have been the scenario we were just not really interested. For £4m he'd definitely have been worth a punt. But I guess the talk he didn't wanna relocate from the south (not to mention his folks live down the road from Southampton) didn't help.

Rumours still persist of Newcastle wanting Andros Townsend. I think Matty Phillips might be a better purchase, but I guess we're mad enough to try it.

Also talk in the Italian press that Napoli are interested in Moussa Sissoko. Hmmm... presumably if they sent scouts they'd know he has as many games of doing nothing as he has of being the best player on the pitch, and no real middle ground.

Apparently we're trying to sign Moussa Dembele from Fulham. Should be fun for the commentators if it happens.
