Is there an option to get rid of a parent club?

I'm the manager of FC Liefering and just won the First Division on my first season but I didn't get promoted because FC Red Bull Salzburg are my parent club. I thought it would terminate the agreement and I would be promoted to the Premier Division.

for all intents and purposes fc liefering are red bull's b team, just like barcelona have a b team that are not allowed to play in the same division, so no, there is nothing you can do about that unless you use the editor. you can remove the ''cannot play in the same division'' clause by using the editor i believe, that is your only option i think.

why would you start a new game due to a parent club?? at least it guarantees regular income. a bit extreme to start a new game over it I think, but its your game...

RB Salzburg have great resources and as such should generate a healthy youth team. plus they must have some disgruntled second stringers you can take advantage of. I would be happy with them as a parent club as a lower team.

But what's the point in managing a team if you can't get promoted to the top tier, regardless of who is the parent club?

sorry! I misread the post! FC Liefering are a 'farm team' for RB Salzburg so in effect, they are their B Team so you cant get promoted. shit I know...
