Folks,

My Chalkboard Backgrounds for FM20xx have been updated to version 2015.01 to match v 2015.01 of Kremmen's awesome metallic logos (used with his kind permission - many thanks mate).

Includes over 1800 full-screen backgrounds covering most competitions in the game (one for every competition where there is a metallic logo), including the English reserves and under 18 leagues, complete with config files.

Note - You need to have backgrounds enabled and be using a skin that supports backgrounds to use these.

This pack includes alternate backgrounds for the European Championships, World Cup and Olympics.

Installation Instructions - WINDOWS ONLY (for other Operating Systems I suggest you extract the archive in a separate location and manually copy to the destination directories).

CARE - these instructions will REPLACE any existing files of the same name in the destination directory. There SHOULD be no effect on any other files in those directories - they should not be replaced or deleted.
However, for the sake of safety I strongly recommend that you back-up any files you have before following these instructions, so that you can replace them if something goes wrong.

1. Place the pack or update in the directory C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 20xx\graphics\pictures\backgrounds\competitions (if this does not exist you will need to create it).

2. Extract the archive - This will over-write any previous verisons of the file. If you get the message that the file already exists and do you want to replace, select "Yes to all".

please can someone tell me is it the same folder on macs i have all logos and faces and kits etc but this file doesn't seem to work, is it compatible with the original fm skin?

dharrison - I'm on a PC so afraid I can't help with the Mac filepath, but I can say that I am using the default unmodified skin, so if you get them in the right place then they should work fine.

castor.troy (one of my all time fave bad guys!!

) - more than happy to do some ALT premier league ones. What were you thinking of? The shoulder patch?

Should work fine on the default dark skin (it's the one I'm using in the screenshots). I don't believe there's a checkbox this year - I expected to have to hunt down the appropriate setting, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they worked in my game the moment I dropped them into place.

Thanks for letting me know I'd messed the config up. I've now replaced the update with a fixed version containing a fixed config.

Fixed config attached to this post for anyone who downloaded update 2015.02 before 7:45pm on 12/12. Apologies to all.

I am finding that the backgrounds are showing on all pages.

Shouldnt they just show on pages specifically to do with the competition?

Correct, they should just display on pages concerning those competitions, and it certainly works that way for me.

I use the default skin - are you by any chance using a different skin?

This also includes new alternate backgrounds for the Sky Bet and Vanarama leagues based on the shoulder patch from the kits (note these do not differentiate between divisions so maybe not everyone's cup of tea)
