Version 15.0.2 - The Scottish Pyramid
by Morrissey

The 2014/15 season sees Scotland adopt a league pyramid system for the first time, similar to the English system - albeit with a more difficult trapdoor to sneak through to the professional leagues!

This file unlocks the full Scottish league pyramid, as it has been created for the first time in season 2014/15. Fixture dates, competitions and prize money have been made as accurate as possible using the editor - there is also an accompanying logopack included (which replaces the previous Highland & Lowland logopack).

Can you take a team from the bottom to the top, now that the League 2 trapdoor has been opened?

Instructions

Unzip the ZIP file, and put the 2 files in these folders (create them if they don't exist)

Scotland - The Full Pyramid (.fmf) - My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/editor data
Logos - Scotland (folder) - My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2015/graphics/logos

N.B. If you had my previous database for the Highland & Lowland Leagues, delete the Logo folder that came with it first!

List of Improvements/Changes

- Highland, Lowland, East of Scotland, South of Scotland Leagues activated
- Regional aspect should remain over time despite promotion/relegations
- All relevant cup competitions added
- Prize money reflective of real life
- Real name managers added to most clubs
- Highland/Lowland Playoff works exactly as in real life (league winners face off, the victor faces bottom team in League 2)
- East/South Playoff works exactly as in real life (league winners face off, the victor is promoted to the Lowland League)
- Missing clubs created and details added (Dumfries YMCA, Edusport Academy & Upper Annandale)
- Stadiums updated to reflect real life changes
- Awards included in all new leagues

Morrissey: I created my own database pretty similar to yours but for some reason prize money will not activate. I have it all set up in advanced rules and it appears to be in "rules" in game but no team receives any prize money at the end of a season. Did u have this issue?

I did initially - it's located under Stages > League, under League Settings in the advanced editor (which works fine in my file). I had initially looked in the wrong place!

There is no dowload link!

"Download Now" is on the right hand side, or click here! Hope that solves any confusion.

Did the link I put in my previous post work? Weird! I'll ask if someone can have a look and see what's wrong.

EDIT: Added a mirror link. Hope this sorts it out!

Will you be adding the league with Pollok etc next, think it's the West of Scotland? Cheers.

That's on tap for the next one, yeah! The "superleague" SJFA divisions, North Caledonian League and others potentially.

Brilliant! Can't wait to go Rob Roy, I presume it will add made up players or something as I can't see the actual players being at the clubs?

When you go Gretna I don't seem to get any real players, in your video I seen a full squad more or less, did you have to add them yourself?

Edit: I went Gretna and surprisingly had a 4k wage budget to spend, so with no players other than the fake ones they put in I ended up getting around 20 players for free and picked up a few gems, teams brilliant.

Only the Highland League teams have a decent amount of squad data in FM, so I'd recommend starting the game with the "add players to playable teams" option ticked. Having said that, like you say there are a few good frees floating around! Kean at ST is a great start.

Each time I tried to manage Spartans, and when I ran the league without managing a team, the winner of the Lowland League did not appear in the play-off. The second place team did, and naturally lost. I can't see in the rules how this would happen, but it does repeatedly.

Are you running any other update files alongside this one? I'm running another test just now, just to make sure everything is ok. You're the first to notice an issue with the playoffs etc, will try to see if I can help!

EDIT: Just ran a five season test - it's definitely working for me! Try downloading the file again, and replacing it in your "editor data" folder - you may have got the initial file that had an issue for some reason!

I've done club updates (Players, staff, attendances, finance, etc), but none of the league structure was changed. The only alterations I made were to the rules were to add in some TV dates for the Scottish Championship. I ran yours without the merge, and it worked, albeit with the Highland league team winning the playoff against the Div 2 team three seasons running, which I thought a tad unrealistic.

I'm starting my data updates over, as well as the TV dates, which I can't believe would change things. We'll see what happens. I'll get back to you.

Would anyone be able to make kits for the Scottish lower leagues? Would be a nice addition, and how are you getting on with the other leagues mate?

Hello mate I've found a problem with the database. I was Gretna and won the league and met Cove Rangers in the play-offs. I won the first leg 3-0 then lost 1-0 the second leg but Cove went through and met Stenhousemuir in the final play-off. Don't know if it was a bug but you may have to have a look mate
Cheers

Looking into it now - see http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/406554-FM15-Scotland-Full-Pyramid-System-%28formerly-Highland-amp-Lowland-Leagues%29 for the latest updates (and beta files for version 3 when ready).

It's really frustrating, as it seems to work perfectly when both teams are AI, but as soon as one team in user controlled the game gets confused. Gotta love the editor sometimes...

Looks like I've (finally) cracked it! Here's a link to the version 15.0.3 test DB, which now includes the North Caledonian League and related cups as well. Fingers crossed!

NOTE: I've not confirmed the regions on this as yet, so don't be surprised to see an EoS Division 1 team randomly turn up in the Caledonian League...

Lowest playable league option "greyed out" and only installs top four divisions.
