I started my first season at Kaiserslautern was highly successful as I met my target of getting promoted back to the Bundesliga. A strong transfer window improved my squad drastically with the permanent signing of Pione sisto and Guido Vadala bolstered my attack as well as Malcolm from Corinthans And Kenedy from Fluminese on loan, Benficas Brian Cristante and Bayerns Ginluca Gaudino made up the midfield .A slow start to my maiden campaign left me outside the top 4 until after January and that's when my team hit top form. Strikers Malcolm and Kennedy started to score a lot which pushed us up the table and in the last few games secured the title.

The return to the Bundesliga went better than expected as Kaiserslautern comfortably stayed in the German First Divison. After a quite transfer due to lack of funds, the only signing being players on loan we started strongly and were quite high up the table by January. But results started to slip and we started to move down the table and my un-changed team managed to achieve a brilliant 8th place finish

After a successful return to the Bundesliga,we improved our squad drastically with the £5.5 million pound signing of striker Sergio Gonzalez from Racing Club and the £6.5 million signing of Werder Bremens Alexander Dragovic being the stand out signings. The European push from Kaiserslautern started early with another strong start to the season. Another early exit to the German cup was for us was inevitable but we kept charging on and made some good loan signings in January which helped the final push for Europe. At the end of the season we achieved a very good 6th place finish.

The 2016/17 season started and we started strongly in the transfer market, signing striker Barcellos Freda for £14 million and goalkeeper Rodrigues for £8.5 million as well as numerous investments in South American youth players. At the start of the season I knew it would be difficult for us to compete with the amount of games we would be playing in Europe. As the season progressed the injuries mounted up and it became harder to compete in the league. We progressed in Europe and got to the final which we won against Sevilla 3-1. Despite the injuries we secured another 6th place finish and secured European football again for Kaiserslautern.
