Season 06/07

After losing the Community Shield to Man Utd [2-0 - Saha & Neville], we set about domestic and European dominance, something which given my current squad should have been completed quite easily. Early wins against Reading and Tottenham held us in good steed and a 3-0 romping of Inter at the Bridge saw us take up our rightful spot at the top of the table. However draws against Bolton and Middlesbrough followed and we failed to put together any sort of championship winning form. Whilst we coasted through our Champions League group, winning five and drawing one, our premiership form was atrocious coughing up far too many points against the likes of Man City and Derby.

A terrible quarter final performance saw us bow out of the Champions League to Lyon and a similar game against Leicester saw us bundled out the FA Cup far too early. Premiership performances didn't improve much and remarkably we were still in the hunt with four games to go, however c**k ups at Man Utd and home to Villa saw us ultimately finish 3rd.

The only reward for a poor season was a Carling Cup Winners medal against Arsenal.

Season Performance

English Premier League: 3rd (79 points)
European Champions League: QF (v Lyon)
FA Cup: 6th Rnd (v Leicester)
Carling Cup: Winners (v Arsenal)

Season 07/08

After failing to finish in the top two last season, we were forced to qualify the hard way with a qualifying tie against Slavia Prague, after winning 5-0 on aggregate we were drawn against Inter again. A solid start to the premiership with four straight wins and another faultless group stage of the champions league saw us sitting top after 15 games.

Again we buggered up our chance to win the premiership, concentrating more on the champions league after Arsenal went 15 points clear (we went 5 games without a win during middle of season) and had to settle for 2nd.

After failing to defend our Carling Cup trophy with a penalty loss to Middlesbrough we again faltered in the FA Cup, however after scraping through against Porto and accounting for Liverpool in the quarter finals, Celtic proved to be an easy semi final opponent.

Facing Arsenal in our second final in two years we saw them off with a Cristano Ronaldo strike midway through the second half. A better season overall but still poor by Chelsea standards.

Season Performance

English Premier League: 2nd (82 points)
European Champions League: Winner (v Arsenal)
FA Cup: 5th Rnd (v Sheff Utd)
Carling Cup: Quarter Final (v Middlesbrough)

Err your transfers are WEAK. You could get some quality players for 70million - enough to not notice the absence of C.Ronaldo. Nugent isn't good enough for Chelsea in my mind. Aaron Lennon is over-rated so not worth it. Chelsea should be able to win the Prem on first time of calling if you buy the right players. Poor managing.
Unimpressed.

lol agree bad management should easly win the 1st season with the current players u have without any signings.
And ur selling and buying abilities are shocking 70m for C.Ronaldo wow i can get him for 14m if not the most 23m.
and some of those players u brought are not chelsea material specially the players u sold to be replaced.

unimpressed sorry... but ur getting there
