I want to do a story, but I am in the middle of a pentagon and I dont want to start a new game for fear of not returning to the pentagon.
I would be happy for someone else to take this idea and run with it. I was think of calling it something like the terminator quest.
Its starts with Arnold Schwarzenegger waking you up in the middle of night and telling you "I've been sent back in time, because you and only you can stop the world from ending", going on to explain that the dominance of Barcelona in world football led to the 3rd world war and the nuclear winter that it brought about. In 2018, the world ended shortly after Barcelona's 8th consecutive champions league trophy, investors of the major English and Italian clubs had begun to fade away and they lost their interest because their teams could no longer compete by 2015. The Barcelona squad was still young and their dominance meant that if any promising players came through anywhere they could purchase them using their new financial clout.
2015: After the quality of football had diminished in England the fans no longer were wiling to spent 50 pounds a game to see the matches. They stopped going and the clubs were unwilling to lower prices so top games were attendended by half full stadiums. The lack of football meant that large groups of people who previously would go to football matches or spent time talking about football became idle. And this led to an increase in crime. ~
The Spanish dominace at the 2014 and 2018 world cups due to all of the Barcelona Starlets, Hooliganism became less about violence and more a form of national pride and hatred towards Spain. The Spanish government saw the unwillingness for other governments to intervene to protect its fans abroad badly and took the issue to the UN. After little was done the Spanish government sent its army into Russia to protect its fans during the world cup. However the Russian government would not accept its land being policed by a different army and ordered the Spanish army to leave Russia, promising to escort the Spanish fans themselves.
However just like in so many classic movies when the Spanish forces were being ordered to stand down a soldier accidently fired a round into the Russian forces and a firefight ensued, that became known as the massacre at Vereya. The death of thousands of Spanish troops sparked an international incident in which old hatreds were brought up. The Americans blamed the Russians saying that they went looking for a fight and found one. The Russians refused to take any blame for the incident. Seeing an opportunity to become the dominant superpower in the world the Chinese secretly bombed Seattle and San Diego with bombs they purchased after the downfall of Soviet Russia in the 1980s. The Americans found this missiles and refusing to negotiate with a Russian government who denied all links to the attacks declared war on Russia. This started lots of small battles around the world like in the cold war, where there were mini battles. But it was Iran who sparked the nuclear Holocaust by taking the opportunity of the world being distracted to build nuclear weapons and bomb Israel. Israel bombed Tehran and the supporters of Iran began to fight the supporters of Israel. Ending in Nuclear winter.
After a long introduction Arnold turned and said, This is where you come in you must become manager of a football club and prevent Barcelona's dominance of Europe.(he also said don't ask how I travelled back in time that technology isnt 7 years away and also don't ask how I survived the nuclear winter.)
I was trying to come up with stipulations to judge my success in the game, I was thinking I had to manage a team in Spain, but obviously it would be easy to do this with Valencia or Real Madrid. So I thought perhaps taking over a second division Spanish side and building them up. And the challenge being preventing Barcelona from winning a champions league between the years 2014-18.
So like I said some feedback/ someone to take this idea and run with it would be great. Feel free to make edits to anything if you do run with it. You might have guess the story is a bit farfetched and full of plotholes but if you can improve it feel free
If in doubt kick it out!

Currently doing my Blackburn career thread.

Thinking of starting a game with a national side, maybe Republic of Ireland, any ideas?

It'll be a career thread again and I will be continuing the Blackburn career too, so don't worry :D

It could be Russia/Romania. Would be interesting to see a story with a Eastern European country.

Thinking of starting a game with Fulham and obviously a story to go with it. Will be using sports website articles as the actual story of it, so would like to know what people think about that? Cheers. :)

I recently re-installed FM10 (cba to get FM12 for now, particulary following Steam being compromised) and have the idea of a game where Newcastle survived in May 09 and Shearer became manager.

However its on hold atm as I go through some important uni stuff. When that's done I'll get round to doing stuff.

I simply don't know what team to choose. I switch between Newcastle, Leeds, Aston Villa, but ever fail to end the pre-season. I lost interest in any team, don't know what I should do.

I'm pretty much an FM noob and thought it could be interesting to do a career and share my learning experiences with everyone. Any ideas for a challenge/scenario/idea for a game?

Hello

I'm new to this forum, but been a member to a similar forum in Sweden where i wrote some reports and am now thinking about trying it out here.

Got some ideas:
- Balkan Challenge , winning every league in the Balkans.
- One club manager, making a small or medium club big and trying to become a legend at the club.

Which one sounds most interesting?

I take it as there is not much interest, would have needed help because I've lost all motivation and can't find any joy to play at the moment.

Been a while since I wanted to write a career on these boards again.

After reading Terminator V and Fola's career it has once again made me hungry to get back on the saddle and do a written career.

Only problem is I am not quite sure what to do, the options are as follows:

* The Regenerators - Deportivo de La Coruna (Loading leagues from England, Scotland, Spain and USA)
* Red Bull Challenge - Taking over FC Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull New York, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Brasil (May have to create a manual DB and place RB Brasil and Leipzig into the game from the start)
* Start a career with Shrewsbury (Loading leagues from England, Scotland and USA)

Any help with suggesting what I do will be of great help.

Do the RedBull one. Hasn't been done here to my knowledge.

Got another idea:

How about a possible sheikh, russian rich guy comes in and buy an existing club and change the name and club kit of a club and gives the manager very much money to spend, would someone be interested to read act that and what club should it be about? in an already big league or a smaller league?
