How many times have people asked this?
Here's an easy guide to getting those faces in the game
1. Extract the zip/rar file into;
My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2012/Graphics/Pictures/Players
2. You may need create the above folders, if they do not exist.
3. Load up FM, go to
Options > Preferences > Display and Sound
4.
Untick ''
Use skin cache'' box
5.
Tick ''
Always reload on confirm''
6. Then click ''
Confirm''
7. Then finally restart FM.
8 And hey presto, you should see those damn faces you've waited a while to see.

Any questions just ask.

It doesn't affect any of your current games.

Once you have Graphics/Pictures/Players there are the players in folders, i.e a premier league folder or just a massive list of all the players?
If there are in folders what are the correct name for the folders, because i assume they have to be a specific name?
Cheers

Hi,
Im having trouble with the face- and logopacks. My issue is that when I place the "graphics" folder that i made into the "data" folder, the game won't work. Everything kind of goes white. It seems like the folder i placed in the datafolder disturbes the graphic on the game. Ive tried everything and getting real sick and tired of the whole thing. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kenneth

Can you place more than one facepack in that folder?
If so is there a problem if the facepacks had some of the same pics?
For example i have a pack that has most (but not all) of the premier league players and in this pack is half of the Tottenham team. If i then place another folder that has the whole Tottenham team. Will there be a problem with there being more than one pic of certain players?

Where do you save for FM 09 ?
Posted 18 November 2008 - 11:25 PM
Hi,
Great work. I have a problem and a question i hope you can help me with.
I have created my own team on FM2009
They are in Blue Square Premier
I am trying to create and upload my own facepacks for the players. I have high quality images which i have cut out myself (deleted the backgrounds using adobe elements 6.0)
The images have been sized 180x180 pixels (at 72 dpi) and the file has been named to the Unique player ID (found on Data Editor) as .png files.
I am saving them as follows:
documents/sports interactive/football manager 2009/graphics/pictures/players/my own team/1394631335.png
The Use Skin Cache has been unticked & Always reload skin on confirm has been ticked.
Unfortunately after pulling most of my hair out, the facepacks are still not showing. Please tell me what i am doing wrong.
Look forward to hearing from you soon

Hello mate
Sorry you've been waiting so long for a response. If you still need help...it sounds like you haven't created a config file. There is a nifty bit of software that can do that for you
here. PM me if you need help using it.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes it must be the config file. The link you provided is a .exe file for windows. As i am using a mac, i require a .dmg file. Do you have a link for that? Please let me know if you do.
Many Thanks

Sorry navtej13, no Mac link, you'll have to edit it manually I guess...edit an existing config to make it easier.
Kaka1986 - There is no difference in the game, so I hate to sound rude but you must be missing something, have you put the packs in the right folder within "My documents" and have you definitely followed steps 3-6?

OK, I fully understand how to install full facepacks. It works every time for me!
But how the heck do you install individual players? Save the pic onto your computer, then after that I'm lost. All this config stuf....! If someone can write out a step by step post like this one then me and a lot of people's problems will be solved, thank you.

What about installing facepacks for FM2009? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, it's just on the opening post it only tells you how to install facepacks for FM2008, and not 2009.
Someone please make it clear for me and tell me exactly how you install kits, logos, facepacks etc. on FM2009

It's the exact same mate, just you may have to make the folders new. "Logos" "Kits" etc.
What about my question, on installing individual pics?
