I don't think backgrounds work on the official skin, only on custom ones.

I have tried 3 different skins and they are all showing up the same

I have the backrounds in

C:\Users\Jose\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\Graphics\Backrounds\Team

and my settings are as follows

Do you have use skin cache unticked and show background pictures ticked in the preferences menu?

I followed your location on my computer and just got a load of config files, my graphics are in this location if it helps; My computer\Owners documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\Graphics\Backgrounds\Team

Cheers fifa, personally I use the steklo colours on all the skins I've got, work a treat.

The pics are awesome! I just now need to somehow assign the national team pictures to their relevent stadiums instead of team screens. Could be a long job mind

EDIT: Wasn't too long a job....I have done configs assigning all the national team backgrounds to the relevent national stadiums to show up on international matchdays rather than squad screens.

Not uploading anything unless geordie1981 wants me to/lets me

PS I would kill to have the originals of these pics!

Not a problem, feel free to upload them. I saved over the originals I'm afraid, you'll find all of them on flickr and panaromio if you still want them.

Geordie, Great work btw, I have seen lots of great pics on panaromio etc but they are not the correct size to work well in the game, how do you solve this or do you know somewhere with better pics?

Is there any way of having the stadium backgrounds show up on the squad screen and on matchdays? I only appear to have them show up on the squad screen, even though ive both team and stadium configs

Hmm thats strange. If you've duplicated the folders and have stadium configs for one lot and team configs for the other, it should work. Dont forget tho its not just a question of changing TEAM to STADIUM in the configs, the stadiums are totally different IDs to the teams

I did the national team stadiums (thanks Geordie for letting me hijack your pics lol) but cant even begin to start changing each countries pack, too many to know where to start (altho I did Denmark as I dont have any stadiums for them and they were chosen to host the Euro's so the blank screens bugged me)
