any body know of any good tactics for the lower league below conference level,i normally try and keep it basic and play 4-4-2 but cant really push on after one promotion

Is that related to tactics, or related to the fact that you're a part-time club coming up against professionals? The pro clubs can not only afford better players, but also train them all week rather than just part-time.
I have always looked at the first promotion as by far the easiest - and then you hit the pro game. Personally, I like to make sure I'm playing a tight game, and play the percentages. Grind out the wins and the draws to survive in the Conference Premier. Once you've done that, the next season becomes so much easier because you should have the reputation and the finances to bring in players of the quality required.
So, keep it simple, aim to finish 20th or better - and then push on from there. That would be my advice.
But do not under estimate how massive that step up is. You'll find the promotion from the BSP to L2 far, far easier to deal with. I would say the promotion from BSN/S to BSP is more difficult than CH to PRM.
