Has anyone got any tips for arranging friendlies against bigger clubs?
I'm playing as Accrington and I thought a nice way to offset the wages and loans I'm paying off would be to get some high profile clubs to agree to play a friendly or two every now and then.
Unfortunately most teams have rejected the friendlies which is a big shame as it would've netted me an estimated 50k revenue.
I've managed to get a friendly booked with the German team Düsseldorf, which should get me an estimated 20k. I've been trying loads of other teams with no success.
Baring in mind this is mid season, does anyone know of what criteria makes it a yes or a no?

Have a look at the clubs fixtures either side of the date you want to play the game, I club's probably not going to be interested in travelling to play your tesm if they have league match in a couple of days time.
As your in mid-seaon have a look at Italian clubs, they have a decent winter break so you should have better luck getting one or two of them to come over.

Thanks for that, will give it a go.
Düsseldorf don't actually have any fixtures because I don't have Germany as a playable league, so I'm not convinced it's just because they're busy. I've since scheduled another match with Düsseldorf a month later, I'm surprised they accepted that one! No one else in Germany have agreed to come.

I suppose you can look to arrange friendlies with smaller European teams, or try to arrange away games against opposition with bigger stadia.
