A good, well deserved 2-0 win over outright favourites Middlesbrough. Nice to get another clean sheet at home. Pleased with 7 points from our opening four games, which looked tough before-hand.

Probably because of their other results, and now there is a 2 week break, they will be able to get a new manager in and he will be able to have more time with the players before their game.

Ha he was saying on Friday that he still wanted to bring in a couple of players, must have been unexpected from his perspective then.

Yep, because a 1-0 reverse at home has never happened to the club of the almighty stature of the Saints and they've never drawn 1-1 to Leyton Orient in their history.

Oh, and they beat some side 4-0. Anything less than 10 is unacceptable.

Cortese is clueless. Pardew might not have been a great manager, but what do they expect to get? Scolari? It's the Third Division, and they're 3 games in.

Lansbury deal could be back on apparently. Also Leicester have a few players who have slapped in a transfer request. Then theres talk of us and Wellens.

Sky Sports Sources understand Reading have accepted a bid for midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.

4.25m by the looks of it. Unlucky for Reading to be losing him right before the deadline. Not much time to get a replacement in either.

We (Leeds) have a pretty good side now.

Schmeichel

Conolly Collins Naylor (Kisnorbo when he returns) Bessone (Parker when he returns)

Watt Kilkenny Howson Sam (Snodgrass returns soon)

McCormack Becchio (Gradel, Grella and Somma also)

Aye it wasn't looking too good at the start of the season but it's looking very good now. We've all been wanting a DM but Kilkenny in front of the defence hasn't done too bad. Seem to be passing it along the floor a lot more now.

Bessone has been poor and I can see Parker replacing him soon.

YEP said it's likely we'll sign Davenport and I imagine Nunez will be offered a contract. Didn't Claytons loan deal expire? I'd like to sign him for the season, haven't seen much of him..

The last time we saw him he lost the ball, gave away a foul and put the ball out for a throw unnecessarily, against Forest. Pretty much what we already have, and I wouldn't want him tbh.

It's £6m, £4.25m upfront.

A big blow losing Sigurdsson. He doesn't want to go but I'd of thought the club will try and force that one through because that's a lot of money for us. If only Madejski had a bit more ambition because a couple more additions and we'd be nailed on for the play offs.

It's going to be hard to get in a player who can score 20 goals in the next few hours but at least this money means we have an advantage over most clubs in the loan market which will stay open.

SkySports reckons we've agreed a fee with Man City for Clayton.

Has potential to be good for us but hopefully he's only backup for this season.

Ramon Nunez signed after a 3 week trial. Attacking midfielder who's a honduras international. Played at the WC too. And looks like Clayton is signing.

Hope this rules out Gavin Rae

Maybe so but he's injury prone and Cardiff fans were having a party on the thought of him coming to us.

Bruce can play there too if we ever need a dm. All our midfielders work hard though, no luxury players. Nunez looks pretty decent from youtube videos but don't they all :D

Sky Sports News just said we've signed Clayton, but nothing on the official site yet.

Jim Goodwin's been released.

I'm a little disappointed. Good pro, and useful to have around the squad in case of injuries. Best of luck to the lad, and hope he gets fixed up with a club soon.
