New Game
Posted 7 Nov 2011
Finally got the game, but I want everything to be perfect before I start. What do I download, etc.
Already downloaded the 12.04 update and the Susie fix. What's the most complete facepack out there + any kits, logo packs or anything? Any help appreciated.
Oh and what leagues to load. Skacel I'm looking at you. -
f*cking YESSS
Posted 5 Sep 2011
Decided to go retro and boot up FM 2008. Managing some sh*tty Indian team, getting spanked all season, no chance of staying up...
Or so you say?
A few draws, coupled with good results lately made me 2 points of safety. I play 3rd at home, while Salgaocar were playing 2nd (who just beat me 2-1 at home). I also play Salgaocar on the last day, so if we both lose I could still stay up if I win at their place.

f*cking huge win. They've been in top 3 all season, and I was hoping we wouldn't get smashed, but that is massive.

f*ck YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! First time we're out of the drop zone, and I can see us staying up! All we have to do is not lose against Salgaocar in the final game and we're staying up, against all the odds.
Do I go for it or go 10-0-1 ? -

Norwich seal Premier League place

Simeon Jackson scored as Norwich defeated Portsmouth to seal back-to-back promotions and return to the Premier League after an absence of six years.
The goal capped a remarkable rise for the Canaries, who started the 2009-10 campaign in League One on the wrong end of an opening-day 7-1 thrashing by Colchester more than 18 months ago.
But under manager Paul Lambert, who left the U's for Carrow Road shortly after that match, the Norfolk side have now become the first club since Manchester City in 2000 to secure back-to-back promotions into the top flight.
Cardiff, their main rivals for the second automatic promotion spot, were thrashed at home by Middlesbrough earlier on Monday, leaving the Canaries knowing that three points at Fratton Park would guarantee promotion.
And Jackson struck with a close-range header shortly after the start of the second half to clinch a 1-0 win and the three points his team undoubtedly deserved - and in the process gave Norwich a four-point advantage over the Bluebirds with one game of the season left.
Norwich won the League One title by nine points last May but few predicted they would win another promotion so quickly.
However, Lambert's side have not lost back-to-back fixtures all season and have been defeated in just one of their last 15 matches, showing a level of consistency that has seen them deservedly claim a place in the Premier League.
In truth, Norwich ought to have simplified Monday's task within minutes of the match starting but Zak Whitbread missed a great chance, heading wide after a free-kick skimmed off the wall and fell invitingly for him inside the six-yard box.
Jackson had a shot blocked shortly afterwards but any thoughts that Pompey would prove to be accommodating hosts were quickly dispelled.
Hermann Hreidarsson lunged into Grant Holt with a heavy challenge and Aaron Mokoena was booked for a late tackle on Jackson as Pompey tried to rattle their opponents.
Perhaps not surprisingly, the match became increasingly scrappy but Norwich did fashion two further openings before the break.
A David Fox free-kick fell to Elliott Ward but the unmarked defender saw his header drift wide, while Holt went close after one of the few moments of real quality in the match.
He flicked the ball beyond Mokoena with a brilliant first touch but, under pressure from advancing keeper Jamie Ashdown, his shot lacked power and the defender was able to scramble back and clear the danger as the ball rolled towards the line.
Jackson wasted a decent chance shortly after the restart, dragging a shot across goal and wide under pressure from Mokoena.
But his header in front of more than 3,000 away fans from Fox's teasing cross saw the Canadian score his ninth in seven games to put the Canaries in front in the 50th minute.
Right-back Russell Martin almost doubled their advantage with a crisp strike from 16 yards that Ashdown did well to save but Jackson's goal had undoubtedly stung Pompey into life and they started to threaten the Norwich goal.
Kanu almost diverted a low strike from David Nugent beyond John Ruddy, while the home side won a series of corners and pressurised the away defence with long throws into the penalty box.
However, Pompey's challenge petered out and there were relatively few alarms for Norwich as they protected their lead and sealed promotion, with their players charging towards their supporters at the final whistle to celebrate their remarkable triumph.

Officially Better Than Skacel
Posted 24 Apr 2011

Thought I'll give the old man some credit, since his time is up. A new kid is on the block, guess you could call me the Special One.
To show Skacel who is boss we should beat him at his own game, so I'm following his rules. Sustainable Management, Nationalistic Management and Anti Premier League. There's a new sheriff in town.
Now enough on the past, time to show who's the future.

Denied the Canical job, as it looked like sh*t, with the squad already over the £900 for wages. Then Blackburn Rovers came along. Sadly they were the South African side. However there was a good wage budget so I decided to accept it. Looking at the squad, the quality is sh*t; however they are all young so there might be hope for the future. This club could be something though, if we can get promotion then stabilise ourselves in the South African Premier League then there could be a shot at completing one side of the Pentagon by winning the South African Champions League. We shall see.
First off I followed through with my Nationalistic and Sustainable promise, bringing in some South African talent. A lot of it actually. Nicely filled that free wage budget I had, and the squad looks by far the best in the league.

SAINTS CONFIRM SHOCK APPOINTMENT
Southampton Football Club has confirmed the appointment of inexperienced, 25 year old Michal Roman as their new manager, in replacement to Nigel Adkins. The news sparking nation wide debates as to whether Roman, with no previous managerial experience is a beneficial appointment for the club.
Roman, who originates from Poland has been handed a 2 year contract, with the aim to get the Saints as close to the Premier League as possible within the period. This sure is going to be a huge test for the 25 year old that has no previous experience at managing a football club. There are also reports of unrest amongst the squads, with the new manager younger than a few of the senior players.
The 25 year old was announced as the new Saints boss by the club's board on the club website, as a direct replacement for Nigel Adkins. The news not going down well with fans at St Mary's with a majority questioning the club's intent. However the club's chairman Nicola Cortese was quick to brush of any doubts and speak of the boards backing for the new man.
"Of course I see where the fans are coming from, but I would like to re-assure them there is nothing to be worried about. He's not managed anyone before, but everyone's got to start somewhere and we believe he is the right man for Southampton Football Club.
"We've been having talks with him for a while now, and we believe he is ready to take the club forward. The guy's young, determined and wants to prove his worth and that is just what we are looking for. Our aim is to get into the Premier League within the two years he'll be here and if we manage that then it's great for both parties involved.
"For now I have to ask the fans to give him as much support as possible, as he definitely needs it. It's not often a manager as young as him is given a chance to show his skills at this level so it's a special occasion, and the Saint's fans are well known to back their team."
