Tarrantinowned V1 FM2012

Based on tactics I've made for previous versions on Football Manager I've brought it back for FM2012. I use it quite often and have yet to be let down. It's very simple, attacking minded with only small changes to team and player instructions. You may lose the odd away game but you'll find that you do dominate most (85%) games.
I'm bigging up a little but that's how I find it for myself. You may find it different, I'm sure you will. I've used it for Manchester United, Newcastle United, Sheffield Wednesday, Mohun Bagan (India), Lurgan Celtic (Northern Ireland) so it does seem to work for all sorts of teams.
It does look odd but attempt it. I've used Real Madrid as the example. You should see by the players I've chosen for the positions what type of player you'll need to fulfill that role.
I rarely make changes to the tactic before games, depends on how important that game might be. In game I never change a thing, I let it ride out 'til the end. When losing though in the dying minutes/last twenty etc I do, as most people will, throw one of the attacking players up front to partner the striker.
Test it out if you wish (you'll probably need balls to do it) and good luck with it

wraith - You should have put Pepe to Sweeper, that would REALLY reduce the amount of attacks getting in position to score on you... it would bring some more pleasant symmetry to the tac screen. -
Tales of the Sports Direct Arena
Posted 1 Feb 2012

With Newcastle United sitting in sixteenth in the Premier League table, the board of directors at the Sports Direct Arena have decided to part ways from Alan Pardew. A string of eight consecutive defeats with only two goals scored has sealed the former West Ham and Charlton manager's fate.
A statement from the club read: "We thank Alan for everything he has done at the club since joining us in December 2010. He took over when our football was not at a satisfactory state but now, unfortunately we find ourselves back at square one.
"We believe that the supporters deserve better than what we are giving and the decision has been to let Alan leave the club. He leaves on good terms and understands the situation. We play Norwich tomorrow and would like to ask fans to be patient while we assess the candidates for the next Newcastle manager.
"John Carver has been given responsibilities for our game at home tomorrow night."
On 6 December 2010, Chris Hughton was sacked as manager of Newcastle United. Three days later the club confirmed Pardew as the club's new manager on a five and a half year deal. Sky Sports reported that of 40,000 fans taking part in a poll on who should become the next manager, Pardew only received the backing of 5.5% of voters.
In his first game in charge he led Newcastle to a 3–1 win over Liverpool at St James' Park with goals from Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton and Andy Carroll. In the club's first home game of 2011, he achieved a notable 5–0 victory over his former club West Ham United.
Pardew, however, suffered one of the most embarrassing defeats in the club's history as Newcastle went down 3-1 to League 2 Stevenage in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. However, he also led the club to one of the most memorable moments in the club's history when he led Newcastle to a 4–4 draw with Arsenal.
He secured Newcastle's safety in the Premier League with a 2–1 win over Birmingham City on with the club in mid-table. Pardew led Newcastle to their best start to a Premier League campaign in 17 years at the beginning of this season, with an unbeaten run of eleven matches in all competitions.
Newcastle's hunt for a new manager begins.

Idiotic Players Celebrating
Posted 30 Jan 2012
Has this happened to you?
You're 2-0 up, or 3-0 up or something.
You concede with about 10/15 minutes to go.
The player who scores grabs the ball and runs...
...not to the half way line to put the ball on the spot for kick off...
...BUT BACK TO HIS OWN F*CKING GOALKEEPER?!
Why, just f*cking why?
Small things like this agitate me.
EDIT: And I've put this in the wrong f*cking subforum. Someone move to FM2012 Discussion

I'm going to do a series of guides on the different nations available to you in FM2012, mostly the smaller nations to keep it interesting. The main aim is to motivate you to maybe try yourself out in a nation you may have not managed in but most of all, I'm doing this to see what talent is lurking around that we didn't even know about.
So, let's get cracking!

HISTORY
From Wikipedia:
Quote
Following the decline of the National Football League (NFL), the All India Football Federation relaunched the national league for the 2007-08 season.
The league was renamed the I-League and consisted of eight teams from the NFL plus two promoted teams from the former Division Two. The first ever I-league was sponsored by ONGC, who were also the previous sponsors of the now defunct NFL.
For the first time, clubs in the I-league were allowed to register four foreigners, though teams will only be allowed to field three during a match. All matches would be also telecasted live and exclusive on Zee Sports.
So, the first team to win the I-League was Dempo Sports Club who after 18 match days beat Churchill Brothers to the title, but only on goal difference.
The Churchill Brothers extracted revenge the following season by claiming the second title only for Dempo to regain their crown in the next season. Salaocar were the third team to win the I-League in it's four year history by claiming the title in the 2010/11 season.
The AFC Champions League (Asia's equivalent to the UEFA Champions League) has yet to find an Indian team winner. In fact, an Indian is still yet to reach the final in the AFC Champions League's 30 year history.
An interesting statistic in the Indian league is that their top ten all time top scorers includes only one Indian player; Sunil Chhetri, who is also the national team's fifth highest goalscorer with 33 goals in 55 international appearances.
The rest of the top ten all time scorers in the Indian league consists of five Nigerians (Onyeka Okolie 95, Martins Soleye 69, Chidi Edeh 45, Felix Chimaokwu 36 and Junior Obagbemiro 35), one Ghanaian (Yusif Yakubu 45) and three Brazilians (Mendes Silva 54, Ramirez Barreto 30 and Edmar Figueira 28)
Interesting to me anyway.
Anyway, on to the talent, I've looked through each of the fourteen teams and have decided on the players I feel are the best in the I-League. You may not agree with some of them and by all means go and have a look for yourself, I may have even misjudged someone!

So, there you have it. That's my tour of India and to be honest, I've actually learnt a little from reading about the I-League and may start managing it on FM2012 soon seeing as an Indian team has yet to make it's mark on the AFC Champions League, something I'd like to change.
Anyway, as you can see, not much luck in defence, only a few beauts in there. Most of the talents you find in the I-League are not even Indian either which is a bit of a shame but there's still some good finds there, especially in the attacking areas!
Thanks for reading!
