Question about contribution to players` update

I contributed to the transfer update by giving information about the latest transfer of a player who is from J1 (Japanese league) to FC Basel (Swiss).
As the former team is in the Japanese league (the player is in the custom Japan national team by introducing the real name fixing pack), which is not included in the original game, does it mean that this player can NOT be transfered to FC Basel, even this club is included in the original game??
