One of my favorite careers going this, superb signings, that keeper is grande for this Championship level!

Thanks Dan, I really appreciate that. The keeper looks good, I feel harsh dropping the keeper I've had for the past three seasons though so he'll have to make do with the under 21's for the time being.
Season 17/18 - Ten games gone

Ten games gone and wow, it's a lot harder than previous seasons! A lot of the sides in this league have a lot more quality than we're used to and any mistake to capitalised on.

We haven't looked anywhere near as good for forward as in previous years. Luke Young hasn't scored yet and I'm hoping he can change that one soon. We are just out of the relegation zone which is nice, we just need to make sure we stay there. John Bostock has been my star performer whilst Jared Sims has bagged a few goals for us. Darikwa and Young haven't scored for us yet and with Roberts only grabbing one, there's our main goal threat from last year not firing for me.

I've got a new deal which I'm very happy about. I now have the security of a two-year deal meaning I hopefully will still be here even if we don't manage to stay in the league. Then again, it's early days but I do predict it being a very tough season.

Knocked out of the Capital One Cup in the second round against Bournemouth.

Not bad start, hopefully you can win your game in hand.

This seasons best player for me. Absolutely gutted! I need Luke Young to step up and get back to the form he was on the past few seasons. I'd just given Bostock a new deal so for this to happen now is just typical. I hope his stats don't drop too much.

Season 17/18 - Twenty matches gone, still surviving... for now

So, three wins out of our last ten matches but no wins in our last five.

This season is such a contrast from the last few seasons as we go into pretty much every game expecting to lose. We managed to get wins against Cardiff and Peterborough though which is good as those are two of the sides near the drop zone with ourselves. It was good to see Luke Young grab his first goal of the season but he still hasn't rekindled his form from the previous season which is worrying... maybe the step up to the Championship is just too much for him?

On the scoring front, we are still struggling. My squad doesn't seem to possess that much quality for this league and despite us being free of the relegation zone, I will have to strengthen in the transfer window. I need to try and bring in players who have Championship experience as my squad is lacking massively in that area.

Season 17/18 - Thirty games gone, survival on the cards?

We have sixteen matches remaining and are currently 4 points above the relegation zone.

* - Hull match was in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

Another three wins from our last ten matches in the league but the performances have been a lot more promising. We should of beaten both Brentford and Wolves but we conceded late goals so I hope that doesn't affect us come the end of the season. Scott Hogan seems have found his scoring boots since his Summer move from Brentford and has scored some vital goals. Overall, despite the results not being too good, I was much happier with the last ten matches due to some good performances. I am confident we can stay up, it's going to be very close but I think we can do it.

The January transfer window has now passed and I managed to bring in one player but what a player he has been. Colin Kazim-Richards joined us on a free transfer after his release from Turkish side Bursaspor. It shows how far we have come to be able to bring in players with this amount of experience. CKR has played in the Premier League with Sheffield United and also been in the top league of Turkey for the past six seasons or so. He has bagged four goals in his six matches for us and it's a transfer that really seems to have lifted the team.

We also managed to keep Levi Ives at the club. In the end, no clubs came in for him but despite that, he managed to have a hissy fit which affected the rest of the squad. An emergency team meeting was called which made some of the players even more unhappy. I've decided that I'll be letting this guy go in the Summer if any team comes up with an acceptable bid. He is a player that I would hate to lose as I've had him since I joined the club but I can't have him upsetting the squad harmony in such an important point within our season again.

So, with sixteen matches to go, does anybody think we'll be able to stay up?!

Just had the youth intake and found this beauty. I will put him in my first team squad straight away and I will look at giving him a few substitute appearances here and there. The half Bermudan/ half Englishman is a centre midfielder with stats that are more than likely to increase over the next few years, obviously baring any injuries. I'm looking at seeing whether Stephen Dawson will tutor him, as he has high determination and leadership.

The future is hopefully bright for this young lad. I'm hoping I can nuture him into a top, top player. According to my assistant, Paulo Ferreira he has potential to become a good Premier League midfielder.

I also got some news that I wasn't expecting, especially after the past few months. Left back Levi Ives had been wanting to leave for about a year now but has signed a new five year deal making him our highest paid player at the mere age of 20. In three seasons, he has seen his wages rise from £275 a week to £5k... this guy has some good fucking agent.

My scouts also found me this young Brazilian centre back. I don't want to disrupt my side at the moment so I'm looking at loaning him out. He was really good stats and is only young so he will be a big player for me in the future, maybe even next season. He was playing in the Brazilian second division after making over 30 matches last season at the mere age of 17.

One final thing is something I'm very excited about. We moved back to Plainmoor a few months back after the new seats were installed into the stadium. Since moving back into our home ground from Plymouth's, our form seems to have picked up. With the attendance only being 6,000, we have been getting a few sellouts. If we can find the finances, hopefully this new stadium will be great for us to increase revenue.

Couple of great players there! And a new stadium is always enjoyable to get!
Season 17/18 - Survival Secured, looking to the future

The last sixteen matches of the season was definitely our best section of a tough time in the Championship. It all seemed to click as our form picked up and saw us finish comfortably in mid table and 16 points above of the drop zone. Despite us having by far the lowest budget in the league and being favourites for relegation, we managed to defy the odds and stay in the division.

We managed to win eight matches out of our last sixteen which managed to ease all fears of relegation. Next season, depending on the budgets, survival again has to be my main priority. I can't see our budget being massive next season and I will once again, give my current players the opportunity to play after doing so well at the end of this season. I have a few good young up and coming players such as Zuill and Mulder, both who scored their first goals for the club in the last game of the season. Mulder, 19, was signed a few seasons ago and is a Dutch striker who was spotted by my scouts. He had a loan spell at League Two side Wycombe this season where he managed to score seven goals before I recalled him. I'm not sure whether to loan him out next season or play him.

We also have Martin Sorensen who spent last season on loan at League One side Millwall, scoring 12 goals. He has now earned his right to play in the first team and will be a first team player for us next season. There are a few other youngsters that I'm excited about and I'll post them up for you soon.

Luke Young seemed to find his form in the latter part of the season before missing the last two months through injury. I was worried about him early on in the season and he couldn't seem to find any of his form from previous seasons. However, he managed to finish the season on 7 goals including a brilliant hat-trick against Bradford and also a brace against, at the time, fellow relegation battlers Cardiff City.

I will give a more detailed breakdown of some of my key players and players that I'm looking forward to seeing play in the future. On the topic of transfers, I had asked to increase my transfer budget but the board refused. The club's finances are now 'insecure' but I'm hoping the prize money gained from last season will give me a nice budget to play with.

I also turned down interviews at fellow Championship sides Wigan and Bournemouth.
Excellent work here, Fola. Zuill and Dodo looks really impressive, hope they can develope for you.

Here's the squad stats from last season. As you can see, Hubert turned out to be my first choice goalkeeper and once he had settled, he did really well. He's now valued at £2.3 million which is good for a player I bought for less from £100k last season. It was good to see KP, Ruz and Young play regularly again for me. Kazim-Richards was a good signing for us and managed to bag a few goals from the wing. It was a shame that Darikwa couldn't find his form from last season, Jaadi was impressive for us up top though- he's got a very bright future.

If anybody wants any specific screenshots of any of the players then just let me know.
Superb work on survival and come the end rather easily, good to see Hubert had plenty of game time and his value has indeed now rocketted
The future of Torquay?

Just thought I'd post a few of my promising youngsters have are even in my under 21 or under 18 squad. All of these players have been found through my scouts or trial days arranged by the club, it's nice to see my initial scouting objective working.

Steven Raun - Currently in my under 18 squad after signing on a free transfer two years ago as a sixteen year old. He can play at either right or left back. I don't anticipate him being anywhere near the first team any time soon. I think I may loan him out next season, get him some better experience than just youth football.

Pal Marius Nesset - Norwegian under 21 international who signed for us at the start of last season. He spent last season on loan at Conference side Harrogate and made thirty appearances for them, scoring once. I will probably look at loaning him out next season.

Dodo - Signed for us last season and spent the last three months of the season at League One side Portsmouth. He will be in the first team squad next season, not sure whether he'll be a starter though, we'll have to see.

Ryan Fitzpatrick - Signed three season ago from Northern Irish side Dungannon for £30k. Since then he has spent a season in the Conference on loan with Bristol Rovers and a season with League Two side Hartlepool. Since the screenshot, he has joined League Two side Burton Albion on a season long loan.

Jonathan Diba - Signed from Rochdale at the start of the season just gone for £150k. He played every match for Rochdale the season before last but i somehow can't gain a work permit for him. I've tried to loan him out but nobody wants him. He has 700 days until he is eligible for his work permit so looks like two years in the reserves for this guy.

Tafari Zuill - Joined the youth side last season at the age of 15. He is currently the youngest player to ever play in the Championship and managed 9 appearances last season, scoring once. Hoping for big things from this guy. I've managed to sign him up to a four year full time deal.

Martin Sorensen - Danish under 21 international joined us four seasons ago. He spent the season just gone on loan at Millwall in League One and bagged 12 goals as Millwall gained promotion to the Championship. The season before that he bagged 8 goals for us after spending a short time on loan at Gateshead in the Conference. He will be part of my first team squad this season. Here is a screenshot of him as a 16 year old.

Bart Mulder - Joined us two seasons ago on a free transfer. He spent the season before last on loan as a 17 year old at Conference side Accrington Stanley. Last season he managed 8 goals for Wycombe in League Two before managing to bag his first goal for us on the last day of last season. Since this screenshot, I have loaned him to fellow Championship side Bolton Wanderers. It will be interesting to see how he fares in this league, I do have the option to recall. Here is a screenie of him as a 17 year old.

Levi Ives - Been a regular for us for the past four seasons. At only 20 years old, he is one of the most experienced players in the squad and is currently the highest paid player at the club. Nice to see how much he's improved in my four seasons at the club. Here is a screenie of him when I first joined the club.

Nabil Jaadi - Joined the club at the start of last season after his release from Serie A side Udinese. He initially joined as a centre midfielder but I retrained him as a striker and was my top goalscorer last season. Managed to tie him down to a long term deal, hoping next season he will be able to hit double figures. Here is a screenie of him from the start of last season.

Jared Sims - Joined us in our Conference winning season four years ago. He's been the player who has most impressed me with his development and four seasons ago, he was struggling for a club and couldn't even gain a contract at Conference South side Sutton United after they failed to sign him after a trial. He signed for us, I retrained him as a striker and he now features regularly for me in the Championship. A great success story and I'm happy my training and coaching has worked so well on this guy. If anybody wants to see a screenie of what he was like when he first joined the club click Here.

Happy days. Torquay Stadium... How original.

Good to see our sponsorship deals are continuing to improve year on year. Hopefully building our new stadium won't fuck up our finances too much in the future.

Good to see super Luke Young selling the most shirts again this season. Looks like the experience of Kazim-Richards paid off amongst the fans which is pleasing. Darikwa and Roberts' sales must of been based on their form in League One because they weren't the best in the Championship. Nice to see Bostock making his way into the list despite being injured for 10 months after doing the ligaments in his knee.

Player Of The Year announced and once again, for the FOURTH season running, Luke Young has won the award.

Luke Young was again a comfortable winner despite not standing out as much as previous seasons. At 25 he is already a club legend and obviously a big hit with the fans after his numerous awards and shirt sales. I'm hoping he can hit double figures next season after grabbing 7 goals for us from centre midfield last season.

Torquay Legend.

Torquay Best Eleven Season 17/18
I also turned down interviews at Championship sides Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough and Bristol City.
We are AGAIN predicted to finish bottom of the league by the media.

Would of liked to of picked the lowest objective but the massive jump in wages made it impossible not to go for the higher option. A lot of my players have yearly wage rises so I think even with the higher wages, we'll still be right on the limit so probably still won't be able to buy anybody like previous seasons. I feel it's going to be another struggle this season, I just hope we can survive in this league again in the upcoming season.
Excellent work here, Fola. Zuill and Dodo looks really impressive, hope they can develope for you.

Thanks Itchy. I'm looking at giving them both quite a lot of game time next season.
Superb work on survival and come the end rather easily, good to see Hubert had plenty of game time and his value has indeed now rocketted

Thanks for the comment again Dan. Hubert really is progressing into a really good goalkeeper.

Here is him now:

Compared to the start of the last season when I bought him: Hubert stats 12 months ago.
Good to see your youngsters developing well with the club
New season is about to start and once again, we've been made favourites for the drop. Our transfer budget was very poor and I only managed to bring in 4 new players, all without a penny being spent.

Released from our bitter rivals Plymouth at the end of last season. His career seems to have halted in the past few seasons but he's still young and I feel I can get the best out of him. I'm thinking of re-training him at a striker as I feel he has good all round stats to suit that position.

Another player who joins us from Plymouth. Curtis Nelson is a solid centre half who can also play in midfield, he has good all round stats and was Plymouth's captain before joining us after rejected a new deal at Plymouth. Great player to bring in on a free.

On loan from Sevilla for the season. Top, top player whom I'd love to keep once his loan spell ends. Just hope he can adapt to English football quickly.

On loan for the season. Will be more a back up striker for us.

I let quite a lot of youngsters leave the club in the Summer after their contracts expired. Dawson, Zhukov, Cruise and Holmes were the only first team players I let leave the club. Disappointed that Zhukov didn't have a better impact since joining the club last Summer, he has moved to fellow Championship side Bristol City- the rest were released.

Come on Torquay!

It's transfer deadline day and fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest have placed a bid for one of my star men: big KP. KP has been a key player for me since our days in the Conference and he's a player that I definitely don't want to lose.

I negotiated the deal for £2 million and they backed away which is pleasing. KP sounds like a greedy bugger as it's obviously the money that he wants. I hopefully can keep him and once he's interested in talking to me, I'll offer him a new bumper deal. Players like KP and Young are not leaving the club, my aim is to make it to the Premier League and I want them to be with me.

You have brought in few good players in Such a shame he refusing to back down
Season 18/19 - Ten games gone

Ten matches in and once again, we are defying our pre season odds. We have lost three matches in the league out of our first ten but managed to win 4 which puts us close to the play offs. I'm hoping we can keep up our form for the rest of the season.

We have a game in hand over many of the teams above us which will see us move into the play off positions. It's still very early on in the season but hopefully we can keep up this form. Survival is still my main priority but it's good to see us doing better than expected. Scott Hogan has scored 6 for us so far, only 2 less than he scored all last season. I sent back Jelle Lucas and my starting eleven is pretty much the same as last year apart from Patricio who has played really well since joining us on loan in the Summer.

We managed to keep KP too which I'm happy about. He doesn't want to discuss a new deal the moment but hopefully if we can get through the January transfer window without Forest placing a bid, we'll be able to keep him.

We're also impressing in the Capital One as we are now in the fourth round. We face Premier League side Swansea in the next round and to be honest, I'm thinking of fielding my second eleven, I'm really not fussed about this competition.

Been offered the job at League One side Ipswich. It was immediately rejected, there's no chance I'm leaving any time soon, let alone dropping down a division.

I made another signing in the form of South African international Kgosi Ntlhe, formerly of Peterborough. He can play at either left or right back and will be mainly used as a back up player for us. I don't have any other left backs apart from Levi Ives so this guy will be a good rotation player for us. As you can see, he has a lot of experience from his time at Peterborough and is on cheap wages so overall it's a buy I'm very happy with.

You have brought in few good players in Such a shame he refusing to back down

Thanks Johno . Hopefully we'll be able to keep him if Forest drop their interest.

On his debut. Gutted.
Ouch! Such a shame he's out for 4-5 months
Not a bad start. The team is coming together nicely. Definately a squad with potential!
