PREPARED FOR SOMETHING

Wanted to try something different, so I decided to start as a Premier League club for the first time in about 5 years.

Ultimately the decision came down to Aston Villa, a first-team that is filled with overpaid rubbish and a financial situation that is quite poor by Premier League standards but with great facilities, a couple of promising youngsters and from a big city so there is plenty of room for growth.

My match of the season so far:

City and Arsenal have been shit. Still incredibly surprised to be 4th though.

Pretty much the most undeserved win in history.

Great going with the Villa, I can't normally get them beyond lower-mid table in my first season.

Good to see another Villa story, I started the Moneyball challenge with them. Never won the league, or even qualified for the champs league (missed out a couple times) but did win the Europa league, the FA Cup 3 times and the league cup once and that was with the majority of the squad you start with. Helenius is an absolute beast, started him as an AMC set to attack lead the league in assists then when I sold Benteke pushed him up to a poacher and he lead the league twice for goals so keep him at all costs

For a spell of three games Libor Kozak went from being an utterly useless donkey to the Second Coming, playing like he was Ronaldo, Oliver Bierhoff and Francesco Totti all rolled into one. Alas, it was not to last as in the very next game regular service returned and we got hammered 3-1 by Spurs, with Kozak back to his usual worthless self.

Helenius seems to score a lot of goals late in matches. Think every goal he's scored for me may have come after the 80th minute.

Ridiculously close league with 3 games to go. Have West Ham, Stoke and Norwich in my final three games, so I've still got a decent shot at CL football but knowing how inconsistent this team has been we'll probably manage to fuck it up somehow.

Useless cunts. The whole fucking lot of them. Fabian fucking Delph isn't playing another game for this club, the worthless, overpaid speck of bottling shite that he his. He can fuck right off back Yorkshire.

All the other results lined up perfectly for us, had these inept fucktards managed to play a decent game instead of forcing Brad Guzan into the game of his life against a side that was 16th in the league and had nothing, NOTHING to play for I would have finished third. Instead I'm now 7th and entirely reliant upon Liverpool losing the FA Cup final for my European place. I WANT TO BREAK THINGS.

Good season that mate, had some great results but also some tough times as you've raged about keep it up though I like it!

Turns out I won't be making it to Europe regardless of the FA Cup result, it's a Liverpool derby in the final and neither club qualified through league position.

Pretty decent league position in the end, better than Villa can hope for in real life, good to see Barry return.

Honestly shocked that there was anyone willing to take Bent and his utterly undeserved salary, but I guess to a newly promoted Leicester desperate for Premier League players taking him on a free actually makes sense. Pretty pleased to have gotten £5m for Vlaar as he was played out of the first team halfway through the previous season.

Got the three most promising talents in Scotland and the most promising player in the Championship in the same window and managed to add some much needed experience to my midfield. Wickham is an interesting reclamation project, could be a really good striker in there if he can manage to stay free from injuries.

Turned down a £32.5m offer for Benteke in the summer, seems like that may have been a good decision:

Was considering accepting it, went looking for replacements and even agreed to a deal for Jordan Rhodes but ultimately decided against it. Benteke adds more to this team than any of that money would.
