Okay so you read the title and see the description and it's all about Liverpool but the current team is Napoli, I will get to that later.

Firstly let's start with season 13/14. Taking over my beloved Liverpool I proceeded to do my usual, evaluating the staff, sorting responsibilities, setting training and finally the important part, judging players, where they should be played and the roles they will take.

I bought out the old notepad and pen and began to write down every single players name from all three teams, I then went through each player individually and highlighted attributes needed for each position before settling on a formation and a starting 13. I then looked at potential transfers to strengthen said formation and finally looked at what instructions would suit the team best.

http://i61.tinypic.com/106ivko.jpg

My transfers, firstly let's start on the outs. All loans as the squad is pretty thin at the start and did not want to sell anyone. At this point I only had ambitions of Yesil making my first team so I was most excited to see him get some game time for Barnsley.
On the ins I don't think anyone can argue with the potential Will Hughes has in this version and when you see my eventual formation you will understand why I signed Javi Garcia on loan.

Speaking of formation here it is along with team instructions.

http://i61.tinypic.com/23qjo9.jpg
(Ignore the blue kits cause I am currently at Napoli but it is what I created with Liverpool)

Now the idea was to use the strength of my midfield, I mean who can argue with Gerrard, Henderson, Allen, Leiva, Coutinho plus adding Hughes and Garcia to that lineup, I decided against wingers as Borini is out on loan, Sterling is still pretty raw and Suso etc weren't ready for it yet.
Without being able to go back that far and look at specific lineups I do believe my strongest lineup at this time was:

RB CB CB LB
Johnson Skrtel Sakho Cissoko
DM
Lucas
CM CM
Gerrard Henderson
AMC
Coutinho
ST ST
Suarez Sturridge
We focused our attack through the middle with our fullbacks bombing forward resulting in quite a few assists and goals, with Lucas (or Garcia) in the DM position and Henderson (Allen) playing the box to box role it provided cover for the defence.

I do have alternate tactics but they were merely used to give the wingers a game and I hadn't fully developed them for a few seasons so I will show you those when they apply to the seasons they were most used in.

Results were outstanding from the beginning:
http://i58.tinypic.com/rm4ah3.jpg

The win against PSG I remember fondly and you can imagine my surprise considering it was our first friendly with a new formation. I do believe this is also the first time this version I have hit double figures in goals scored. I was onto something here.

http://i58.tinypic.com/35hokqs.jpg

If you can judge by the cups (which you probably should as the league went a lot similar) it works a marvel against the lowly teams due to the attacking prowess but we struggle with keeping goals out, I noticed a trend that still seems to continue to this day where we would concede almost immediately after half time, I don't know if that is a match engine thing or not but I have found changing to a contain or defensive mindset for at least 10-15 mins after the break tends to curb that trend.
Unlucky with drawing Man City in the 3rd round (I have horrendous luck in draws which you will see) but I did play a rotated side as you can see with Aspas scoring our solitary goal in the 37th minute, he def would have started.
The FA Cup I took a bit more serious, playing near full strength sides and it shows, Sturridge and Suarez working marvelously together before we were once again cruelled by the draw and had Chelsea.

I will skip the prem league fixtures and just show you the table, our results went the same as the cups, killing the lowly teams and struggling against the stronger ones, and to put that into perspective we took only 7 points from Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.
http://i61.tinypic.com/2vwd1qc.jpg

Quality finish though, ending up 3rd scoring 70 goals along the way and ensuring Champions league returned to Anfield next season.

To round out the season I will just give you some league stats for key players,
Coutinho had 5 goals and 10 assists
Gerrard had 9 goals, 8 assists and 4 MoM
Sakho had 4 goals, 1 MoM and played at a 7.17 rating
Sturridge had 7 goals, 6 assists and 1 Mom (Spent a large part injured)
Suarez had 17 goals, 12 assists, 6 Mom and played at a 7.33 rating

Up next season 14/15.

As always season 14/15 I will start with the transfers.

http://i61.tinypic.com/294iiia.jpg

The big one on the outs was Jordan Henderson, failed to stamp his authority on the team last season and at 19m plus a percentage of future sale fee I couldn't say no, the other two big outs were wingers and no room in my squad for them (could make a case for Borini playing striker but was never gonna get in over SaS)

With Henderson gone the search for his replacement was on, Ward-Prowse another English player with huge potential joined to fill Hendersons boots, Barry came in on a free to play the role Garcia had last season (Garcia from memory was asking ridiculous wages). Cissoko was signed permanently after his showing last season and with no other left backs available at a price like that I made him part of Liverpool.
My biggest signing to date, with Borini going to Milan, Balotelli came the other way for a record fee at the time. Peter MacLellan was a regen who my scouts rated but has since failed to impress and is actually at Rangers now after signing on a free in 20/21.

I stuck with the same formation once again rotating it to a 4-4-2 to give sterling a game so he wouldn't stunt.

http://i60.tinypic.com/r8v30x.jpg

Friendlies as expected, everyone getting a game.

http://i61.tinypic.com/vglr4j.jpg

Shocking in the cups, I believe it was here I was experimenting with a 4-4-1-1 and a 4-2-3-1, got that feeling because Sterling and Suso were playing, still to go out to Watford and then have to play to replays in the FA Cup is just not good enough.

I'll skip the prem league fixtures again but it was similar to last season, huge wins against the lowly teams however we did better against the bigger teams this season. Taking 11 points this season off Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal.

http://i59.tinypic.com/x5xc79.jpg

Bam bitches, was tense finish to the season, and the thing of this is that while I was relying on Man City to slip in game (which they did) I was hoping Man City would slip in real life (which they didn't ) Just look at that goal tally, 95 goals, 24 more then City and conceding only 31 a huge improvement on last season overall. (Well obviously, we won the league)

Some player stats for the league:
Johnson 1 goals, 6 assists, 2 MoM, 7.29 rating
Suarez 36 goals, 8 assists, 8 MoM, 7.81 rating ( could have broken 40 but he missed the last 3 league games with injury)
Sakho 7 goals, 1 assist, 2 MoM, 7.48 rating
Balotelli 7 goals, 19 assists (HUUUGE), 3 MoM
Coutinho 13 goals, 11 assists, 6 MoM, 7.66 rating

Next up season 15/16.

Once again starting with the transfers and some big news, selling Sterling for a massive £35.5m to big spenders Monaco, after the success my narrow formation had last season I have no need for wingers so off he went, same with Ibe who was never gonna crack the first team so £5m for him was also good.

On the ins with Barry getting on in age Wanyama came in to strengthen the center mid, along with regen Turgut Cebi who was highly rated by my scouts and would be loaned back to his club due to his age. Ryan Gauld is a young Scottish talent who my scouts rated at 4.5 star potential, for a team like I have to be rated that good I had to have him. (Worth noting this was my second attempt at signing him, from memory they wanted somewhere along the line of 30m for him the season before) Despite him being a winger, his age and potential plus the forward thinking of a narrow formation eventually being figured out and not working lead to the signing. Maximillian Meyer was a well rated German who can play on the wings but his favored spot is the AMC role which suits my formation perfectly.

(When I get around to updating the current season I will post screenies of some of these players to show you how they have traveled but I will leave it for now to build suspense)

I will skip the friendly results, played 5 games, 4 of which were away. Won 3 drew 2. Fairly regulation that pre season.

http://i59.tinypic.com/2ufssnn.jpg

Once again I let the cups fall to the side and our results showed. As you can see from the goal scorers it would suggest I was using a rotated side with wingers playing a role instead of my usual narrow formation. Some good results but going out Cardiff and Millwall is unacceptable for a team like this, despite not taking them too seriously I was still unhappy with the teams that have knocked us out in years past.

Now here is where my formation tweaking happened so I will show you what I came up with for the cups:

http://i58.tinypic.com/15308s9.jpg

Now player roles are changed depending on who was starting where and as you can see we still focused on attacking through the middle as most sides in the premier league play with wide men and the middle seems to have a lot of space. When I needed to I would also change the fullbacks role to defend or support depending on the opposition. Mentality is also a game by game basis.

http://i60.tinypic.com/6zyj9i.jpg

Just incredible in the champions league, If you remember earlier I said we tend to have rubbish luck at cup draws well pulling Barcelona, PSG and Genoa in my group was a nightmare. The wins against Genoa were expected but I didn't think I would do it that comfortably. We hadn't met PSG since our 4-2 friendly win over them but I was still confident we could pull something at home, the win away came as a surprise then we undone all the good work by losing at home. To round out keeping a clean sheet at home to Barca was a good way to build confidence for the 1st knockout round.

Here is that luck again, drawing quite possibly the best team in the world, our only solace was having the first leg at home where we were surprisingly dominant. I really wish I could show you the stats but it is still too far back, the return leg was a worry from memory they were up 3-1 by the break but I can't be sure.

Finally got some breathing room drawing Benfica in the Quarters but they proved to be one of my sternest challengers. The dominant first leg against Man City set us up to face Dortmund where we won our first champs league under my tutelage and Liverpool's first since 05.

http://i57.tinypic.com/dls55x.jpg
http://i62.tinypic.com/5zfeyu.jpg

http://i60.tinypic.com/2jczw9w.jpg

Same points total as last season as we retained our league title, this time only losing 5 games though.
Not nearly as many goals as I rotated between the highly attacking narrow formation and the one using wingers but our defence remained in tact.
We also improved on results against Man Utd, City, Chelsea and Arsenal picking up 18 points against them. Arsenal have been in a decline though and I can't pinpoint why as they still have an outstanding squad.

So back to back leagues and a Champions league my trophy cabinet is starting to fill out but I wasn't done yet.

Some key player stats:
Coutinho 8 goals, 9 assists, 2 MoM at 7.33
Balotelli 17 goals, 10 assists, 4 MoM at 7.06
Suarez 15 goals, 10 assists, 3 MoM at 7.08
Skrtel 4 MoM at 7.15
Sakho 4 MoM at 7.24
As always they are league game stats only.

This season I tried not to dip into my huge spending power which was over 100m, instead buying for the future and putting money into training and youth (Which by the time I left Liverpool I had upgraded as much as possible and was generating some real talent)
An aging Skrtel and Agger were the biggest of my outs Illori and Robinson both youth players who just weren't going to cut it.

Vansteenkiste a young Belgian who was rated at 4.5 stars came in to maybe get a cup game or two and a few league games to get experience before taking over from Cissoko or Enrique at left back.
Cassasola was the man I bought in to replace Agger at CB and he has been huge for me despite not having the greatest attributes at first look.
Dumont a young Frenchman coming in on a free who could cover both right and left back in case of injury.
Butland was meant to come in as starting goalkeeper but Surprisingly Reina played him and Mignolet onto the bench.
Papadopoulos has outstanding attributes as a CB and originally was meant to replace Skrtel as a starter but Cassasola got his chance, took it and never looked back.
Finally Wynhoff a German CB/RB was rated as having potential and came in as cover and potential future starter.

In the friendlies we played 8 games for 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.

http://i61.tinypic.com/2rqk5xg.jpg

First trophy of the season came against Stoke in a fairly straight forward win.
As I said in the previous post Arsenal are in a decline and we beat them quite easily to take trophy number 2 for the season in the European Super Cup. Then came the luck of the draw again, getting Arsenal (sick of them) and scraping through before drawing Man Utd and going out in the League cup.
The Club World Cup caused quite the fixture congestion but I was delighted to have trophy number 3 in the cabinet and doing it without conceding a goal. Again was disappointed to go out in the FA Cup to a lowly team but I still wasn't taking them as serious as perhaps I should be.

http://i62.tinypic.com/1zqdlle.jpg

A very straight forward Champs league group, qualified with ease using a largely rotated squad, giving all my players who don't get a run in the prem league some game time to keep everyone happy. Jerome Sinclair who bagged a goal in the last group game is quickly becoming one of my fav players but you will see why soon enough. I picked him up for 750k a few seasons ago but for some reason it didn't show in my transfers??

Milan have been made rich off my transfer activity with them but still no match for us and that was using a rotated squad I believe, I mean if Kelly was playing I had to have rotated some players lol.
The team we beat last season in Dortmund once again could not beat us but the bias this game has towards English teams and how good they are meant I met both Chelsea and Man City with the nail biting result of penalties giving us back to back Champs league titles and my 4th of the season.

http://i59.tinypic.com/xoqe8n.jpg
http://i59.tinypic.com/23wl6ww.jpg

http://i59.tinypic.com/2ex9amo.jpg

6 losses in the league this time, finishing 1 point worse off then last season but winning our 3rd league title in a row. An incredible achievement for any manager. You can also see that Arsenal decline I was talking about finishing 12th.
Only picking up 12 points against the top sides this season including Arsenal meant it was squeaky bum time for most of the season but those 7 in a row at the end of the season including the wins against Chelsea and Utd meant the title stayed with us whereas Man City (the ball was in their court by the way again) in their last 7 games drew 3, won 1 and lost an incredible 3, the biggest surprise was failure to take points off Hull and only drawing against Palace.

So 5 trophies this season, surely there is nothing left for me to do? Oh wait I still have not got my hands on that league and FA Cup, would I do it next season??

Key player stats:
Suarez 11 goals, 14 assists, 4 MoM at 7.19
Balotelli 30 goals, (got injured and couldn't break Suarez's record) 5 assists, 5 MoM at 7.34
Sakho 6 goals, 1 assist, 3 MoM at 7.16
Coutinho 7 goals, 17 assists, 5 MoM at 7.64
Hughes 3 goals, 8 assists, 2 MoM at 7.07
Gauld 6 goals, 5 assists, 3 MoM at 7.67

Spent as much as I made on transfers this season and in hindsight I prolly didn't need to spunk 20m on the Ox but he was unhappy at Arsenal and he is a quality player who can slot in across the middle.
Mignolet on the out was really coming for a while now as both Reina and Butland were keeping him out of the side.
Getting 20m for Suso was massive as he had only played 13 games last season and 23 since i had taken over Liverpool, I also inserted the percentage of next fee clause I think for 30 percent.

Meyer was a very highly rated goalkeeper and despite Reina playing so well he was getting old and that would leave me with just Butland.
Witsel I signed on a pre contract and he was a quality player who could slot in the midfield in my narrow formation. Veiga a young Portugese who can play right across the back was bought in for cover.
Belahouel is one of the first players my scouts rated at 5 stars and is still only 20 now in the year 21, he is a defensive mid with huge potential.
Prince Ngoyi has an awesome name but is rated at 4.5 stars, his finishing stops him from being a great striker but he will absolutely tear it up as a winger. Still only 18 and a player I will look to poach at some point in the current year.
Rakavinas a young CB bought for the future.

Only the 4 friendlies, 2 wins, 1 draw and a loss, not the greatest pre seasons but my squad is pretty set anyways.

http://i58.tinypic.com/9zvlts.jpg

Another community shield in the bag this time on penalties.
Disappointing loss to Juventus, I still can't click on full details and I don't remember much about these two games.
Corinthians took us to the limit in the Club World Cup but I was using a squad of players who wouldn't normally get games so happy to take him trophy number 2.
Aside from Chelsea in the 3rd round and Arsenal in the final we finally had a decent run against lowly sides in the league cup, trophy number 3 this season. I also believe Sinclair is the top scorer in both the Carling Cup and Club World Cup.
A very easy run in the FA Cup led us to a nail biter against Chelsea in the final, trophy number 4 and the two that were missing from my cabinet

http://i59.tinypic.com/mtbfgz.jpg

Well there you have it, I am not invincible lol.

Took the group games for granted and had some shocking results, still managed to qualify and drawing Wolfsburg was pretty lucky on my part as winners of our group Juventus drew Chelsea. We went through before the unfortunate draw of Real Madrid, I wasn't too upset with the loss away from home but the fact we couldn't break them down at home despite going overload was very sad for me, ah well can't win all the time am I right?

http://i57.tinypic.com/1zl39dj.jpg
http://i59.tinypic.com/8xkboo.jpg

http://i60.tinypic.com/2yl2nio.jpg

Once again only losing the 6 games this season but the extra draw meant we didn't crack the 80 point mark which is usually where you need to be if you want to win the title.
Arsenal also came out of their slump to force their way to 3rd which meant the season was extra difficult as we have gone back to the 5 teams fighting for the 4 places.
We also only picked up 11 points against the top 4 sides which isn't good enough to mount a title challenge so no 4peat here.
We were prolific in the goal scoring once again but this habit of conceding goals straight after half time killed us.

Key player stats:
Meyer 12 goals, 10 assists, 5 MoM at 7.45
Coutinho 6 goals, 9 assists, 3 MoM at 7.20
Suarez 15 goals, 12 assists, 4 MoM at 7.11
Sakho 6 goals, 2 MoM at 7.23
Gauld 2 goals, 12 assists, 2 MoM at 7.21

A lot of free transfers and loans in the outs but no money coming in.

Lisi is a very pacey, determined winger who I got on the cheap and is one for the future.
Jordan Henderson comes back to us 5m cheaper then we sold him for and was playing pretty decently for City but they had a bloated squad, he also helps me with the home grown quota.
Along with Henderson my habit of signing former players saw Sterling come back to us for £11.5m cheaper then I sold him for I had employed the wing tactic full time at this point hence the re signing of him and bringing in the youngster Lisi.

Only 6 friendlies, don't need to play a lot when the squad has largely been together for this long. 3 wins 2 draws and a loss.

http://i59.tinypic.com/2mzl8cy.jpg

Still can't select full match stats but from memory Man Utd got the winner in Fergie time, I do remember having my jaw drop so it must have been some sort of comeback from them.

Chelsea and Man Utd proved just too strong in the league and FA cups but with those two elusive trophies already in my cabinet I wasn't too concerned.

http://i60.tinypic.com/2q9g9oy.jpg

Have absolutely no idea why Metalist were so difficult to beat in the play off but we secured out spot in the groups and that is all that matters. Drawing alongside Wolfsburg in the groups after meeting them in the knockouts last year along with Celtic and Sampdoria I was fairly confident we would coast through and used a very rotated side. Our results showed with the shock loss to Celtic first up, we qualified though largely thanks to the 5-0 win over Wolfsburg (got the wood on them bitches) before getting screwed with the draw again and having Real Madrid again FFS.
We were no chance and promptly knocked out, had I have qualified first we would have drawn Napoli who Celtic ended up beating so anything could have happened had I not taken them for granted.

A huge points tally, the largest so far in game of 93 points but we were pushed all the way by Man City who got the second largest points tally since the start of the game. The rest of the pack were never in with a shout.

29 games unbeaten and I though we would have been a good chance to beat Arsenals record in the following season but Tottenham put to bed those hopes. Still an incredible feat 29 games and one that meant Man City didn't knock us off for the title. Title number 4 in 5 seasons Man City went 17 games unbeaten before losing to me 2-0 which really was the start of the end for them as they dropped points West Ham and Stoke straight after, had the won those games the title was theirs.

Key Player stats:
Sterling 14 goals, 8 assists, 3 MoM at 7.14
Gauld 10 goals, 13 assists, 7 MoM at 7.52
Balotelli 18 goals, 11 assists, 4 MoM at 7.19

Sergi Canos played all of 40 games for me, no idea how he was sold for £28m but Monaco have money, take the bastards for all I can.
Meyer was the other big out, going to Bayern for £20m, he was just struggling to get a good run of games going and or performing despite his sparkling start to his career with us. Joe Allen was on larger wages then most and aging so relieved to get them off the bill same with Witsel although I was still paying part of his wages for him to move. Finally Flanagan was unhappy, didn't think the club was big enough for him (4 league titles and a host of other trophies you dick and we aren't big enough, bye bye bitch)

Just the one signing and probably my second best after Balotelli being Pingo, Brazilian regen right back is just freakishly awesome.

6 friendlies played, 5 wins 1 loss.

http://i62.tinypic.com/2utgvon.jpg

Man Utd once again proving too strong in the community shield. Not to upset already have 2 of them.
Man City too strong in the league cup but only just beating us on penalties.
Finally Cardiff knocking us out of the FA Cup again (they have a pretty good record against us in cups)

So 0 out of 3 so far for this season, not to upset but would have been nice at the same time.

http://i58.tinypic.com/jfg7yo.jpg

Sampdoria, Benfica, Wolfsburg, Bayern and Madrid FFS are there any other teams in Europe???

Continue my great record against Wolfsburg, gonna skip straight to the final and say OHHH FUCKKK YEAHHHH MADRID CAN SUCK ITTTTTT. Got my revenge Knocked out two seasons running by the scum of Madrid and got my revenge in the sweetest fashion wwinning the champs league.
In a pretty even game Coutinho's first was from a free kick and the match sealed goal came after a brilliant save by Butland from a Ronaldo shot for Coutinho to pick up in our box run the field and slot home. Believe me I remember this goal well

http://i60.tinypic.com/30jpdeo.jpg

Chelsea matched Man City's point tally last season but unfortunately I could not match my own to see us lose the title by 7 points.
The loss to Reading, back to back losses to Notts Forest and Wigan I feel cost us the title, dropped points to Norwich twice and Hull would not have helped us either.

Key Player stats:
Balotelli 27 goals, 4 assists, 8 MoM at 7.28
Sterling 8 goals, 6 assists at 7.15
Coutinho 6 goals, 10 assists 4 MoM at 7.32
Pingo 2 goals, 4 assists, 1 MoM at 7.22
Gauld 3 goals, 12 assists, 2 MoM at 7.18

Spend spend spend.
Milan absolutely love me, have made over 100m from player sales to me alone.
Jelasavcic is a regen center back, best in the world at the time so I spunked.
Stuivenberg is a regen winger who can play both flanks and will grow to be one hell of a player.

Now as for fixtures I beat Chelsea on penalties to win yet another community shield before I resigned. I had won everything with Liverpool, I spunked large amounts of money on players and would have been able to walk the league, I had upgraded all my facilities and spent money on youth coaching etc etc I felt there was nothing more for me to do with Liverpool and I needed to leave before the save got stale.

The holiday began, going month by month waiting for something to come along to peak my interest. I had ambitions of South America but Napoli came in with a interview offer and seeing them sitting 10th or 11th at the time was all I needed to convince me to go, I could rebuild them and turn them into a force much like my Liverpool side before moving on to the next challenge.

Before I get onto Napoli here is a brief overview of my comp and award wins season by season.
http://i57.tinypic.com/35m2idw.jpg

I will also go through and show you screenies of some of those regen players now.

http://i61.tinypic.com/2ywwdqh.jpg
Can still be a great defender, just unfortunate for him that others were ahead in my side and he never got a chance. Still has time at only 23 years old. Has been at Rangers since they signed him on a free in 20/21.

http://i61.tinypic.com/2mcsnf6.jpg
Still at Liverpool, still young, rated very highly but there was just something about him that the coaches and scouts see that I don't. At first glance his attributes aren't amazing and I gave him every chance to succeed, loans and plenty of game time in cup games/league games but he just didn't progress how I would have liked.

http://i62.tinypic.com/fd4qs0.jpg
Still has potential to be one of the best in the world unfortunately after a great start for me at Liverpool he failed to grasp the starting AMC role from Coutinho and Hughes.

http://i58.tinypic.com/2wna8ih.jpg
Much better then a rotation player, look at all those red attributes So determined and that is particularly important in player development I feel.

http://i58.tinypic.com/6r7n6t.jpg
Like I said before at first glance this kid doesn't seem as good as other CB's I have signed but by god he did the best he could at keeping them out of the side, I didn't sell him to Juvy he went after I had left.

http://i60.tinypic.com/2hec3tu.jpg
Now this guy looks more like a world class CB but Cassasola was so good at keeping him out of the side there were times where he was unhappy and wanted to leave but I want to be such a fan of this guy I gave him enough games to keep him at Liverpool.

http://i60.tinypic.com/rml3c5.jpg
I have massive hopes for this kid and want to bring him with me everywhere I go, just a question of how much Liverpool want for him.

http://i58.tinypic.com/2i20rcy.jpg
Fairly certain he is the only 5 star rated player I signed for Liverpool, cannot wait to see if he lives up to his potential but I doubt I will be able to afford to pry him from Liverpool.

http://i59.tinypic.com/2zzmbnr.jpg
Rated 5 star by my current scout team but only 4.5 by my Liverpool scouts. Still he's one I want and I want badly but they want £60 odd Million for him

http://i59.tinypic.com/inwvgo.jpg
Probably the signing I am most proud of but will cost far too much to bring him with me

So that about wraps it up for Liverpool, up next the beginning of my Napoli career.

Some class looking players there, fantastic trophy haul you brought to Anfield! Now lets see you do that With Napoli!

This is very much like one of my previous saves, I was at United for a fair few seasons then switched to AC Milan!

I joined the club on the 24th of November 2020 with them in a precarious position. The board harbor ambitions of trophies yet there they sat in mid table.

I was given a healthy budget to start and no philosophies to adhere to, relatively pressure free, all I said was that I planned on pushing us up the table.
That almost proved a mistake but the team rallied in the end.

Now the squad had all of 18 players, some injuries inclusive of that 18 and damn near every reserve player and under 19's player out on loan. I needed to make it to January with the squad I had playing the league, TIM Cup and Europa League was going to be a challenge.

January came around and my results looked like this:
http://i60.tinypic.com/168a7uv.jpg

Just the 5 points from my league games but fairly comfortable showings in the TIM Cup and Europa League. I was however coming under slight pressure because I said I would push us up the table, the fans and board were on my back but I needed time dammit, give me until January so I can put my £28m transfer budget to use.

I made it to January, I did however choose not to make too many permanent buys with my healthy transfer budget as it was only January and all I wanted to do was consolidate our position in the league before molding the team to my liking.

You will see a familiar face in Jerome Sinclair
http://i61.tinypic.com/149p9qv.jpg

He really doesn't look that special does he? Well 31 goals in 60 league games in his career despite playing a minor part for me at Liverpool is one of the reasons he is becoming one of my fav players. He still has years in him and looks like he will develop into one hell of a complete forward which is the role I play him in. He score 14 league goals in 17 appearances after I signed him and was a large influence on our push up the ladder.
Speaking of which here are the remainder of my fixtures and final league table

http://i58.tinypic.com/25p1s28.jpg
I was still feeling the pressure up until the end of Feb and was genuinely worried I was going to get sacked which is BS if you see the team I was left with.
From the Sampdoria game however we went 12 games unbeaten and despite putting the Europa League to the back of my mind and using unplayed players (of which there weren't many but I had to rotate as much as possible with a thin squad) we did well to make it to the semis when we were only ever expected to make it to the first knockout round.

So with that in mind our final table looked like this:
http://i61.tinypic.com/jil0g3.jpg

A stunning finish to the season, all pressure off and we finish 4th. 63 of our 80 goals came in the 25 games I was in control for. Imagine what we are capable of when I have the side I want.
Things are looking rosy again for Napoli and with a decent transfer budget I feel we can push for a champs league place again next season.

Thanks Dan, yeah looking forward to seeing what I can do in Italy.

I tend to have a pattern with FM games, I start with Liverpool ( team I support in case you couldn't tell ) I get used to the match engine, the new features etc etc. I then start a new game with a shit load of leagues and do the unemployed journeyman game, I then pick a team who are my flavor of the month toward the end of the year/beginning of the new year and finally end with one more big game starting with Liverpool again.

I have had some great careers all over the world with that formula.

Finally up to my current season.

Start as always with my transfer activity.
I was given a very generous budget of £51m for a champs league place, which after last season SHOULD be achievable if my signings gel quickly.

http://i57.tinypic.com/wciwwm.jpg
Pastore is a Napoli junior who was out on loan and I picked up the other half of him for nothing, he will aid with my home grown quota.
Will Hughes and Saleh you all know about, Saleh is still very pacey and has a great dribble at 29 so hopefully he will have some impact off the bench. Hughes is well just Hughes and Liverpool allowed his contract to run. Both were signed on pre contracts in Jan.

http://i59.tinypic.com/dn21so.jpg
My weakest positions are at fullback and center back also the positions where I have no depth. This kid I have high hopes for and covers two vital positions.

I am stunned that Liverpool allowed Gauld to leave for so little considering how good he was for me there, but I am ecstatic at the signing.

Peron, a French youngster who can cover left back and center back.

Columbi starts the game on loan from Atalanta at Carpi, has great communication and command of area and decent enough reflexes. At 30 years old he has a few years as my backup but my main goal is to sign Meyer from Liverpool.

Benteke at £3m and only 30 years old was too good to resist.

Veiga another Liverpool player is backup for both left and right backs. He is only 2 star rated but I only need him for backup, his progress was stunted at Liverpool due to the quality of player I had there.

On the outs front Rafael was second string Goalie for me and the offer was too good to turn down. Griezmann sale raised a few eyebrows considering his blistering form at the end of the season but on the wrong side of 30 and me lining Gauld up I was happy with the amount I got for him.
Marra is classified as a wonderkid striker but I just couldn't fit him in especially with it being so hard to get rid of Duvan Zapata, I thought ahead and inserted a 30 percent next sale clause though so if he does progress to world class I should get a healthy fee.

So hopefully one more piece of business and that is signing Meyer and my side will start to take the shape I want it to. Few players I want to get rid of but that will come in time.

My final piece of business. Another former Liverpool player, came through the youth academy under me, was very highly rated by my staff, is Aussie so I always like to see us do well and was much cheaper then Meyer who they wouldn't budge from £51m for.

He will rotate with my starting keeper Panda.

On debut, they scored and assisted each others goals Pretty good start, side is still gelling so expect some defensive lapses with two new CB's.

Very tough group to be in, expecting 6 points from Stromsgodset and if I can steal something away to Dortmund I might be in with a shout of qualifying but I think the aim will be Europa league.

Tough group as you said Europa League spot is a realistic aim especially short term for the club!

Hmm Dan even Europa might be further off then I thought.

http://i57.tinypic.com/117gzgk.jpg

And here is why:

http://i62.tinypic.com/sm38xz.jpg

4 points from 18. The board want 10 points from my next 5 games. I can only put this down to the mass changes to the playing group I mean look at the run we went on last season and compare that to now, only thing that has changed are the players themselves. Too many changes too soon and I am paying the penalty for it, time to tinker and hopefully keep my job,

Dropped my AMC to a DM and now just hope we take this form into the league.

My GK got the assist for our 4th and I have no idea, it went through about 4 other players before it went in the net lol.

So I needed 10 points from 5 games and had a very tough run of fixtures to contend with, Did very well to hold on against Juventus but the draws against Milan and Udinese were entirely avoidable as both opposition goals in those fixtures were own goals Peron actually scored both in the game against Milan.

The draw with Man City left me 1 point behind them in 3rd in the group stage and if I could have pinched a win against Dortmund at home I felt comfortable we were going to qualify and that would keep the board off my back but low and behold I didn't get that far.

Gonna add some new leagues and go on holiday for a bit but I have the desire to head to South America or maybe even the MLS we will see.

I've added Australia, Austria, Belgium, Columbia, Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the US, all playable leagues. Should mention at the start I was only running Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Portugal and Spain but only the top leagues in those countries bar England which I had to the Championship.

Netherlands is the last league that will be added on 7/7/22 so I will holiday until then and see what jobs are available. I really wanna end up in South America somewhere hence the adding of Columbia but I have also added the lower leagues in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. I also wouldn't say no to Australia or South Korea at this point and maybe I will look to add Indonesia and South Africa one day as I have enjoyed games there previously.

Edit: Stuttgart have come in with a job interview a day after being sacked but I have no desire to manage in Europe again just yet.

Okay so after holidaying until the end of April 2022 there are finally two jobs available that have cause quite a stir in my loins.

One is in Mexico, and is Toluca. They finished 17th last season in the closing stage but a very strong finish in the opening stage meant they avoided relegation. There are one or two quality players and the squad is 25 man strong so I wouldn't have to upheave too much early on and can hopefully build a team over time with low expectations.

The second, now I know I said I wanted to avoid Europe but it is a Swedish team, Jonkopings Sodra, they are currently 8th in the Swedish second league but sit precariously above the relegation zone, currently only 3 points off the drop and a massive 10 points off the leaders. With 24 games still to play though there is time to turn things around.

I will apply for both and see what happens, mind you this is all reliant on the clubs even considering me but I would take either or.

Edit: After I applied the Toluca board inform me they are currently under the process of a takeover. Hmmmm.

Going to delay the offer and see if the Swedish team come in with an offer, after both interviews and seeing the budgets I would prefer to go to Sweden.
