So with the game released a week ago and a few graphics downloaded I went into thinking and I came down to realise the British Steel Challenge just isn't for me this year. So I have had that deleted. I've now decided upon a 'journeyman' career to see where I could end up and just enjoy floating around different continents, countries and leagues.

The Setup

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/MDW71OFJ9ZYvkT3TaIBiOj301PiHRS8q1LHUkttn.png

I've started with these three countries loaded to give me a variety of areas to start with. Austria I played in last year and enjoyed my brief time here as well as Belgium so I have loaded all playable leagues in both those countries. I have also loaded England up to the Blue Square South/North just in case I fancy going back there. But I will more than likely start in Austria or Belgium. But first, lets run down the manager information.

The Manager

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/BL28t6IiDTIYTQqKRCYPQfLXp5btoXms5UlEjHyp.png

So my manager is 'Dan', myself of course and I will be starting unemployed because thats the first hurdle of management. Born in England and just Twenty four years old I look to become one of the youngest football managers on the game. Sunday League experience with a poor reputation at 'local' allows just one highlight. My favored team of Liverpool, who I am many years away from being in contention for that job.

The Job Center

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/QPBEd4bskQROtXSEcc2ua42IgFRA5ETpTrzEKDwd.png

And this is what I have to contend with to dive into. Not many vacancies are about at the moment but there certainly are a couple I need to look into and take seriously. The one job I would love to start with would be out of England and that narrows it down to just Bleid-Molenbeek, a club in the lowest playable tier in Belgium known as the Derde Kasse B, one of two leagues in the Derde Kasse. I will also look into the Havant and Waterlooville job with the team in the Blue Square Bet South league, however I'd rather begin out of England.

Now I will begin the job hunt and come back to you when I have some revelations in the next day or two. Who knows where I will begin...

So with the game loaded and the right man chosen to take on this mighty challenge it was time to get onto the footballing ladder and that meant finding the right job to take forward. As I said in my previous post the open vacancy in Belgium would be my preferred job.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HozC5MLYSq1Kx69nEVUSKzNKfFEXvfb2By90X41l.png

I went straight into the job hunt as soon as I could and day one I declared interest in the opening at Belgium. The Bleid-Molenbeek job wasn't a perfect start but it would be step one into the footballing world and a fun challenge to take on should I get it.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jviRpdKJ1ZplECGciDtUQ8hS41PDlMrYFXiA93eW.png

Luckily I was one of the only applicants for the job, well I guess that anyway otherwise why would they offer the job to me. Anyway here is the outline situation with the job. The team are expected to finish in the middle of the table and have up to three thousand pounds to spend on wages. Nothing is currently being spent though, also there is no transfer budget available.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3nJgiQPHLTn1ddd80lbq5kZSsHY3Ya2EJcuB7jy1.png

The contract talks went a little more in depth as myself and the club met and I can tell you they were very brief talks. They offered me an amateur managers contract with no wage or no length on the contract along with starting immediately. So at the moment its a long shot and no set length but we can work on that in the future.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/S2zH18UPbVWOaeOnpQ86sAa0GLT60BeaBogPzz90.png

And there it is! We are finally on the footballing management ladder and we can now begin to build a reputation up, hopefully a decent one at that as we start over in Belgium in the lowest possible league. But a challenge is always fun to take on and this is one I can't wait to take forward.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qqmagzvuykXDCWbL6GQEJVTlXvdUfj83S4lNll3V.png

A quick rundown of the team shows they have a few standout players to hopefully take the team forward and possibly lead them to a mid table spot this season. There are areas for improvement and with the league not kicking off for over a month we certainly have time to make a few changes to improve the chances of mid table or even pressing for a top half finish.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5pfhBdRZLp1MLRIy9KXfMv2kBt6A43p8x9eoFeUQ.png

And finally the financial status of the club isn't a healthy billionaires club but its safe for where we stand in Belgium. With just over five thousand in the balance along with three thousand spare for wages its fair to say we are in quite a stable position. A few big friendlies over the summer could hopefully see our balance rise before the season kicks off in a months time.

I'm aware that a few people haven't played in Belgium before and seeming I have I thought I would give a quick rundown on the league structure which is a little different than the routine leagues we see in England, Spain, Italy etc.

In Belgium there are three tiers, the lowest tier is the one which I am beginning in. Its known as the Derde Klasse and is split into two divisions, A and B. There is nothing different between the A and B league however. Both leagues have eighteen teams in and each team plays each other twice totaling thirty four games. BUT... during the season it is split into 'three periods' the first ten league games will come in period one, the next twelve games are period two and the final twelve games are period three. The winner of each period wins a playoff spot for the end of the season, there is also one promotion spot available through the league and one through the playoffs come the end.

Winning promotion will see the team rise into the second tier known as the Belgacom League. This is just a single league unlike tier three and also consists of eighteen teams meaning another thirty four league games will be played. Just as the Derde Klasse is, the Belgacom is also laid out to three periods where the winner of each period earns a playoff spot for the end of the season.

The highest tier in Belgium is known as the Jupiler Pro League. The Pro League consists of just sixteen teams meaning just thirty league games are on offer over the season. However there are no periods to this league but come the end of the season the league table splits to the 'Champions League group' and the bottom two teams will not be automatically relegated, they will go into the relegation playoffs against the playoff winners of the Belgacom.

Tactics

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/CoG5hwyNYFzaPZ0xnzK88p4mTm07RYWtVri2nN2g.png

I've got two tactics set up to play through pre season this year. The first is the Revolution 4-5-1 formation. Downloaded to see if I can get it to work with my team and force some attacking play whilst looking stable at the back. My second is a very attacking show with a 4-2-2-2 formation. Four at the back including two wing backs, two central midfielders, two wingers and finally two upfront, as long as I can get two decent strikers we will be alright going forward, however I know a strong defence is the basis to a good attack!

Right with that out the way, here are the friendlies for the pre season ahead...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/BSpaMOSPJGqSldqRF0t8zzTTCA9iDsmuCboygPPC.png

With the game started in June I have two months to play friendlies and get the team playing the way I want them to be playing. There are a variety of games coming up some at home and some away but it should give us plenty of chance to get use to playing alongside each other with mainly home games but a couple away to. The game against Standard is our biggest test this summer but I hope we can step up to the competition.

So having finally played through pre season its time to update you on the going ons during the summer. I joined the club at a good time as it gave me two months to get the team playing 'my' way and comfortably with each other. We stayed out the transfer market for the majority of the time and just focused on what we had.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/cXKBd7MjEeouodgzsWEV1i2hxj5Vul39s7v9QC1R.png

This is the only transfer that has taken place for us this season. I felt I wanted another striker just to back up my main two and Belgian striker Baptiste Denis proved to be more than good enough to fill the role. On a free transfer to he was definitely worth signing.

Baptista Denis

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uT7U5F7jpQYCYnSRQ5D6G5TLxDobPFvHwd3j0z0j.png

Mainly signed on his high finishing attribute for this league he will definitely prove to be a big hit here. Came in midway through pre season and went on to make eight friendly appearances for us netting on three occasions which is fantastic. He is already gelling into the team and I'm sure the twenty year old will be here for a few seasons.

Pre Season Results

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DSLe4WDdBPC7RIA4y0ekTck4Z3ssz1inUDnRYlPA.png

The team certainly have taken to the new management and new tactics well and we went through a fantastic pre season despite it being overloaded in friendlies we performed over expectations. Playing twelve friendlies we managed to record ten wins, one draw and one defeat. The defeat was expecting however only losing three nil to a team so highly rated as Standard isn't a bad result. Pleased to have kept six clean sheets and scored so many. Frederic Tuta was by far the standout player this summer.

Federic Tuta

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/6CSTxAKTfSHelsfn3kChHDYlSksDXxIamCLGIhV7.png

Federic Tuta has had a phenomenal pre season for us and playing in the lone striker role of the 4-5-1 revolution formation he is certainly performing. The twenty eight year old managed to find the net eight times in nine friendlies this summer. Certainly could fire us to a potential promotion this season should we perform above our expectations that is.

So that is pre season over and done with, I will now carry out month to month updates on the goings on in the club including results and league positions.

Finally my first competitive month came about and we had just half of August left to play. We ended up fitting five games into just seventeen days. But all our hard work would build up to the opening of the competitive games. This month we faced three games in the Cofidis Cup along with the opening two league games of the season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/CjgpU4rVjoQ7W54p9r6OabZGKC42CSdhUZ6m3x1y.png

My first competitive game in charge in was the third round of the Cofidis Cup and we faced a non league amateur side Sint-Lenaarts. At home we were always expected to win comfortably and that we did. We got off to a flyer with Cedric Tuta netting after just seven minutes. We then had to wait till the second half for a goal. Tuta netted his and our second before Kose made it three. We were later reduced to ten men but held on to progress to the fourth round.

Before the league started we faced a second cup game, this time the fourth round of the Cofidis Cup. We faced Aalst from the Belgacom League and were expected to get trounced. However we put on a show and late in the first half Cedric Tuta put us infront. Ten minutes into the second half we grabbed a second through Alageyik before Aalst hit back. Luckily we held on and found a third through Tuta to move into the fifth round.

Finally the league was set to start and we faced a home game welcoming Diegem. A first half goal from the away side proved to be enough to win the game. We failed to get into the game and the chances we did create were wasted.

Back to the Confis Cup and this time the fifth round. We drew Derde Klasse A team Hoogstraten and following our last two cup results we were confident. Despite dominating the play we were held to nil nil throughout the game and lost Yalic to a straight red. Into extra time we lacked the attacking force and slipped away. Conceding twice in the first half of extra time was enough to dump us out.

We faced RJSHL Fleurus in the final game of the month. We managed to carve an opening after forty one minutes when Cedric Tuta managed to convert from the spot. However three minutes later the teamtalk for half time changed when we were pulled back level. Second half we fell behind within three minutes of the restart and our poor league start looked to continue. However on the sixty first minute Frederic Tuta netted from close range to salvage a point.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PVcdtXE734D1oQsseqZsGBzs7H8duZ64xLdEAS0V.png

This is how the league table appears after the opening two league games of the season. We haven't made the best start and I did expect a little better following the pre season we've had. However we are only predicted to finish twelve so all in all an average start to the season.

Thanks George! The cup run was better than expected especially beating higher league side Aalst! But now we need to focus on our league form
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/T9x0PWGjWahFwmEd8W2POKYTTXxmtH1TR0GgOQDu.png

Last month saw us open with a rocky league campaign and just one point from a possible six. However as we move into September we only have the league to focus on. We faced five league games and looked for our first win of the season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3HWe0pJonIWiDRoAqRkMUzltliFL7UeiGKSJy6q4.png

And we found it. As we returned home to welcome Grimbergen we really stepped up the class. Our opening goal came from Mourchid who fired us infront just after half an hour. We conceded before the break to go in level. Second half we stepped up again and a Mununga free kick proved to be the difference and guide us to three points.

However two away games followed and two three nil defeats came. Firstly traveling to Verviers we found ourselves down and our by the break. All three of their goals came in the first half before my team got a rollocking. Second half we improved but failed to find the net.

And secondly traveling to Woluwe-Zaventem the same could be said. Once again we found ourselves behind at the break. This time two down and the second half didn't get any better. We quickly conceded a third and fell to back to back defeats.

As we returned home we recorded a much needed win. Welcoming Tienen we boosted our hopes as Haidara made is debut to fire us infront after thirteen minutes. Come the break we were two up with mourchid netting. Second half Tienen came at us and pulled one back before Haidara netted his second. Frederice Tuta made it four one before Tienen grabbed a second consolation goal.

Our final game of September saw us travel to La Louviere Centre where we narrowly lost out in a seven goal thriller. Alageyik put us infront within forty five seconds but the home side quickly hit back. We found ourselves two one up when Cederic Tuta netted after seventeen minutes. However come the break our hard work was undone and we were three two behind. Second half La Louviere Centre went four two up before Frederic Tuta gave us hope with a goal seventeen minutes from time. Unfortunately we couldn't grab the win.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xRisenyHoRtCTjwWEs58Gvl0ikUTWhYDQa4IJw7p.png

Down to thirteenth and looking like we could be involved in a bottom of the table scrap for the rest of the season isn't pretty but it will give us something to build on. We have three games left of period one and it looks like Virton will scoop the first possible playoff spot. We just need to keep building and work on our defence as we currently sport the worst defensive record in the league.

So after two months we are struggling to find any form. At home we seem to be alright but we are still conceding too many. As we move into October we look forward to another five games as we also end period one and head into period two. Five league games for us to get stuck into.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7rnByzyBIEWnbr4P0xQew0njGvytaPSCTb7CrbzX.png

We began the month in fantastic fashion as we welcomed Kelmis. A brilliant start saw Cedric Tuta put us infront after just eight minutes and within half an hour we were two up with Tuta grabbing his second. We dominated the game and could of had more. A well struck free kick from Triantafillidis in injury time secured the win and clean sheet.

We traveled away to Union SG and were tipped as heavy underdogs. We were on the back foot for the majority of the game. Before the break we fell behind but it wouldn't stop us trying. Late, late on in the game we managed to earn a point. Yalic broke through the defence and slotted home three minutes into the four added minutes of the game!

We returned home to welcoming Huy and once against failed to win back to back games. A poor start saw us behind after ten minutes before Cedric Tuta brought us back level before the break. Second half we went on to blow our hard work as Huy netted twice to run away with a three one win.

Up next was a trip to Patro Elsden. The first half was quiet as neither side looked to make the breakthrough. Second half the game turned up and we came out fighting as we went on to net twice in a minute. Yalic with the first on the sixtieth minute a well struck shot outside the box before Frederic Tuta then grabbed the ball from the resulting kick off to net again to secure a two nil win in the first game of period two.

We ended the month on the road as we traveled to FCV Dender and unfortunately slipped to a one nil defeat. The only goal of the game came before the break and despite trying to rally the team for the second half we couldn't get back in it.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/RjMZHGScfOsvMJJYJJa0tXR57uP2Wda5fasYLnHK.png

The overall league table looks like this. We have improved slightly over the month and have jumped up to where we are predicted to finish now in eleventh. We are improving and if we can continue this we could find ourselves moving up over the next few months. Still sporting a poor goal difference but we are building on it. Virton won period one so have secured a playoff spot for the end of the season as we have now moved into period two.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/WMj4exDWDyytImufQ6Kn2G7cY9xg4EN4BQKLhA57.png

Here is the table for period two so far. With period one (the first ten games) out the way, period 2 (twelve games) has begun and we are in better shape this time. Sitting eighth after two games in period two with a win and a defeat, we could surprise a few with some lucky results. We just need to keep plugging away over the coming months,

With our form looking like its beginning to creep up, yet no defining form, we went into November looking forward to more wins yet with the shortest month about we could struggle a little. We faced just four league games over the month, two at home and two away, could we win all four?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/pcVUzEdhsH31Bqw1u4Xb4uNh2HlS8GE6QgDZRn8b.png

We began the month away from home facing Ath but our 'iffy' form continued as we slumped to another narrow defeat. First half we were excellent and showed our worth. Yet second half we faded and ended up conceding a penalty before conceding a quick second to fall to a two nil defeat.

Our second game of the month saw us return home to welcome Bocholt and with them nearing the relegation battle we had to win. Luckily we did do this. A confident performance saw a seventh minute goal from Frederic Tuta be enough to secure the win and a vital three points to raise some hope for us.

As we traveled away to Ciney we were tipped to get battered. Ciney sat third but a morale boosting team talk gave us hope. A goal on the verge of half time from Frederic Tuta proved to be more than enough to show we were no pushovers as we secured a fantastic one nil win.

Our final league game saw us welcoming struggling Bertrix fully expecting to end the month with a win. And for the third game on the bounce we not only won but we won by a one goal margin. In fairness we should of had three or four but we will take the three points following Mourchid thundering home a close range shot.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jacELKSRaKEH7wm3rvtMufhJjhCsycGfJj3If1O9.png

Three wins from four sees us rise into the top half of the table and sit eighth in the league as we approach the halfway stage in the league. Definitely an improvement this month losing just one but still areas to build on. We need to take the chances we create and keep our defence tight and who knows where we could end up.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wUQyr9gUKn3jQs5sMyRe9LwMjTCUW93uBmAQKmKV.png

Whilst period two is looking a little like this. We are up to fourth in period two and really making a go for a possible playoff spot for the end of the season. We are outsiders to get that but halfway through the period and just four points off the top spot isn't something to grumble. We put our all into it who knows how it will end up.

We had one three on the bounce and going into the wintery month of December were in fantastic form. December only challenged us in three games too as the winter break was upcoming. However could we extend our unbeaten run...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/8vEi1aegfW4U3nWhVhVoQMLALy6Vs9mNj4jyoF4c.png

Our run of three wins on the bounce came to an end as we faced the leagues top side Virton. However we didn't give them anything and within twelve minutes we were one up through Alageyik. However we let it get too much for us and come the break we were two one behind. Second half the team went out fighting and within five minutes we secured a draw with Kose netting from close range.

As we traveled to Diegem we returned to winning ways and extended our unbeaten run. Just a single goal game once again was enough for us as Alageyik managed to knock in his second in as many games half an hour from the end.

To end a short December we returned home to welcome RJSHL Fleurus. A confident showing saw us almost blow a two goal lead. Mununga put us infront after fifteen minutes before Haidara doubled our lead after just twenty five minutes. Second half we conceded one and were on the back foot for the majority of it but we held on.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/SV5CgyBuCoNymVPN3ce3avly1HPul2AsHvHzrAqb.png

We are over halfway through the league season now and here is how the overall league table is looking now. We are on a great run at the moment remaining unbeaten for six games and proving our great morale is helping us. Up to sixth in the league overall now and our goal difference has leveled out. We may be eleven points off the top spot but playing well so far.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IOdZS5xb2I0aNR5su77uEwv3jxtsFTHL12a8LKbB.png

Our form is possibly the best its been since taking over a few months ago and we are in the playoff running for period two. After nine games we sit third in the period, well joint second and just three points off the top side Tienen. Its definitely all to play for in period two, that will be, after the winter break anyway.

Winter Break fixtures:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/UWNOHFM5udev6N5r8UovBOwcIGiuenzGpUEIJV5l.png

Its now the 16th December and with the league fixtures finished for the calender year we head into the winter break. We only face about a month off so I've let the players have a couple weeks off before playing three friendlies all at home before we then return to league action. The friendlies are just to improve fitness and morale before the league restarts.

As I said the league had almost a months break in it meaning we have to keep the football ticking over with a few friendlies. Just three to play to keep fitness up and we can continue to impress.

A fairly straight forward winter break for us as we faced three. Recording three wins over teams that are around our level or maybe slightly worst we've definitely done well to keep three clean sheets as well. Its another stepping stone for us to take and build on going back into the competitive season.

Back to league action this is what we face which will end period two. Our only away game of January will see us travel to relegation threatened Grimbergen where we will look to extend our unbeaten run. We then face two big home games. Firstly welcoming Verviers who are just one position better off then Grimbergen and then welcome the leagues top side Woluwe-Zaventem. We will look for that playoff spot!

Finally returning to competitive action we returned to the league with three games to finish off period two. We were more than competitive in this period and a good final run in could see us finally claim a playoff spot. But it wasn't going to be easy.

We returned to league football with a straight forward clash away from home against Grimbergen. A tough game saw us just about claw through. Mourchid put us infront early on before we conceded twice, one either side of the break. Second half we finally switched on the style and Cedric Tuta not only brought us back level but secured the win seven minutes from time.

As we welcomed Verviers we should of won. But a poor start to the game saw the underdogs ahead by two come the break. Second half we barely improved an were lucky to get one back through Mourchid late on but it wasn't enough.

We even went on to fall to back to back defeats as we welcomed league leaders Woluwe-Zaventem. However it was a pleasing performance. We were tipped hugely as underdogs and being level at the break looked like we could create something. However a second half goal sunk us to our second defeat on the trot.

We are down to eighth in the league but we are still overachieving on our start of season expectations so its not as bad as it looks. However it does look like we are going to spend another season in the division. We have just twelve league games to go now as we head into period three to see what comes of that.

The twelve games of period two are done and dusted and unfortunately it wasn't too be for us. Our two defeats after the winter break cost us a playoff spot and it proves if we had won them both we would of finished top of the period. However its still a work in progress so we just need to keep on pressing in the final period now.

February was to be the start of the third and final period in the league and we searched for a strong start following our poor finish in period two. In February we faced just four league games to contend with but how could we get on?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hV7ayggiAb6eX456VqQesDdrTeFCnfp6yZ0Far2R.png

A very decent month kicked off on the road to Tienen who had already secured a playoff spot. But this game showed how much we want the next one. A great game was finally opened on the twenty second minute when Cedric Tuta put us infront, before stealing the ball form the resulting corner and scoring a second just moments later. Two minutes from the full time whistle Mourchid went on to secure a three nil shock win.

As we returned home we were brought back down to earth as we played out a one all draw against La Louviere Centre. We fell behind before the break but luckily the team talk worked and within five mintues of the restart Allaeyik secured a point for us with a calm side footed finish.

Next we traveled to Kelmis and a six goal thriller left us easily on top. We raced into a two nil lead in the opening ten minutes with Mourchid netting before Mununga. Kelmis pulled on back but come the break we were three one up after Mourchid netted his second of the day. Second half Cedric Tuta netted from the spot before Kelmis pulled on back but a four two win was ours.

And the final game of February saw us play our a third win from four as we welcomed Union SG. A narrow game was secured by a single goal coming just before the break. Mununga bagged a cracking twenty yard free kick to secure an unbeaten start to the third period.

I haven't really taken too much notice of the overall league table the last couple of months as I was too focused on a playoff spot in period two which I failed to secure. However the overall league table leaves us up in seventh and even better, just three points off second place and a possible playoff spot. Its all to play for in the last eight games.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/smL6McCwuUvcGIlu5bcfa2AwgBoZardvnYgmGcwl.png

A brilliant start to the third and final period sees us win three and draw one to sit second in the table. Definitely something to build on and we could well find ourselves stealing the final playoff spot. A good run now and it will be ours and the hard work will pay off. But we have to keep rallying ourselves through each game.

Great run of results, still a bit behind but keep on impressing and promotion looks like a real possibility!

Thanks BOWC! It certainly is looking better compared to the start of the season, however there is still a long way to go and we are predicted eleventh so I doubt promotion will happen this year! Just a strong ending will please me!

March was another short month for us. We only had to deal with three games meaning we had plenty of time to reshape after each one. Three wins would be perfect right now and would increase our final push for a playoff spot in the third period. But we would need to be at our outright best.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lip2MQ4oraP4YM1Mh0qXeRL6A3tsVKFf7NbhzLtD.png

March kicked off away from home as we traveled to Huy and recorded a narrow, late minute winner. Cedric Tuta was brilliant and gave us the lead after twelve minutes. Come the break we were level. Second half Tuta put us infront for the second time of the game before Huy leveled two minutes from the end. Tuta secured a hatrick and secured our three points in the last minute of normal time!

As we traveled to FCV Dender we were unlucky not to take something from Dender. A close game saw us hold our own in the first half and go into the break level. Unfortunately the second half saw Dender net twice in a ten minute spell to sink us. Yalic grabbed us a late consolation goal.

Our final game of the month was the most annoying. We welcomed Patro Eisden and were expected to win however without the Tuta brother (international call ups) we were left short. George gave us the lead after sixteen minutes but we went into the break level. Second half we went on to concede a second and slump to a shock defeat.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/HWeTge9rnf1Ytw8EkLELDhAbRnxNpu8lh1TNamYL.png

The overall league table looks like this, the chances of us making the playoff spot in the league now is looking very unrealistic but we will give it our all with just five league games to go. However our form has improved over the last few months to leave us sitting where we are now, and it looks like we will achieve a better finish than predicted.

The latest two defeats could have cost us the top spot for period three. We should of beat Patro Elsden and if we did we would certainly be on the verge of securing it come the end of the season. However we still have five games to sort this season out.

Thanks once again Zan, appreciate you following so closely! I don't know why we don't take the friendly form into the season but luckily we usually build over the year so lets hope the second half of the season is the same for us!

April was once again a short month for us to focus on and focus we did. If we continued to play the football I knew and the players know we can, we could certainly mount a late push for a playoff spot. But as I said, we need to be at our very best.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xWXciKAZ33dBsuxY3nlkO1iNbgU2lOjVr8eqM4UJ.png

This was the month we needed. With three of our final five remaining games played and won! We began at home welcoming Ath. A strong game was decided very late on. George put us in the lead after twenty seven minutes. Second half we fell back level through poor defender. But an own goal two minutes into injury time secured a two one win for us.

As we traveled to relegated Bocholt it appeared we could be in for a shock defeat as we fell behind within two minutes. However an own goal after twenty one minutes brought us back level. Luckily second half we pressed on and a brilliant free kick from Triantafillidis with just under half an hour to go secured another win.

Our final game of the month saw us not only welcome Ciney and beat them, but keep a clean sheet to. George fired us into the lead after two minutes before Alageyik made it two in injury time of the first half. Second half we lost two players to injuries before Ciney were reduced to ten men. A late goal from substitute Bellia secured a three nil dominant win.

We've bounced back once again and now are eyeing a late swoop of the only playoff spot available through the league. We must either win the third period or finish second in the league if we want to play in the playoffs come the end. Up to fourth and just three points off second place and also sporting a worst goal difference, however its all to play for.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xyaSXQ8zb2NBApIrnajYbEFnDKwg19vUZUmk43or.png

We are in the race to finish top of the third period. The second and third period have seen a rise in our form and we've been brilliant, now all we want to do is finish it off in the final two league games. We are only three points behind period three leaders RJSHL Fleurus. Our final two games will see us face already relegated Bertrix and then league leaders Virton! Two completely different games with one meaning!

May gave us our final two league games and a chance to get that final playoff spot. It was unlikely going into the last two games but a little bit of hope for us and we could just about make it. Two games, one against bottom of the league and one against top of the league, how do you prepare your team for that...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iT480cNosGSxQ5cuHjVpRzF1uVeMxeIyEs9QWfMK.png

I'm not sure how, but the team were rallied for both games and certainly delivered. Our first saw us travel away to already relegated Bertrix and record a two nil win, with both goals coming in the first half. Haidara put us infront before Cedric Tuta continued his fine season netting just before the half hour mark as we secured a two nil win and back to back clean sheets.

Our final game of the season was on the other scale. We welcomed already promoted and league champions Virton. But their status didn't worry us as Cedric Tuta got lucky on a pass back and managed to put us infront after fourteen minutes. The game could of gone either way in the second half. However our set piece genius, David Triantasfillidis once again stepped up and smashed home a free kick four minutes from time, but was it enough for a playoff spot?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/75MnPQkFpiD58twGVGbhwHxGORBIAK8qXzVZlsDO.png

No, it proved it wasn't enough. Despite keeping three clean sheets on the bounce and winning our last five games on the bounce, we weren't quite good enough to claim the playoff spot through period three. It was always going to be hard as we had to make up points and goal difference, in the end we were neither to finish second.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/998sdEfEAlQ7o45xEXO4SLpXrceYCkfEpgEfOqLt.png

But...whats this? We have a playoff spot? Surely not...? How did we manage to secure that, after our awful start to the season we now sit in a playoff spot at the end of the year, but we didn't do it through the third period.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/A6vBFNiu06Ow8KPNwrC6JrjzXGNBoz05Nj48PIcQ.png

This is how we did it! In style! Due to Woluwe-Zavenem drawing both their games and picking up two points they slipped from the playoff spot in second down to fourth with us moving third and RJSHL Fleurus moving up to second into the league playoff spot. But as they won period three, the playoff spot moved down to third place, which is where we managed to finish. Meaning we are heading to the playoffs! Whilst at the other end Patro Eisden face the relegation playoffs!
