Skins not showing on the list

Hi, my problem si basically, that i have downloaded some nice skins, and put them in the skins folder.
But when i go in to the game and go in settings, and go to choose which skin i want.
The only skin that i can pick and that is showing, is the original skin, the build in skin.

Im on a macbook pro btw..
Anyone can help?

Have you tried the skins that are on steam?

Yes, i have tried skins via the steam workshop and I've tried downloaded skin.. nothing works
