Former Liverpool legend and current club top goalscorer Ian Rush has told the expecting Liverpool fans to give manager Brendan Rodgers time to produce silverware and no to expect money being spent over the odds. This comes after the Liverpool owners announced there is little money to be spent this summer at the club.
Rush, 50, is Liverpool's all time top goalscorer with three hundred and forty six goals to his name for the club. With two Champions League titles to his name he remembers the European atmosphere which fans are expecting again in the near future.
Rodgers now takes charge of his first pre season in charge of Liverpool following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish. Whilst he knows its going to take time to win the fans over, hes keen to reproduce the European glory Liverpool once found themselves among and former striker Ian Rush has noted that.
Rush "Brendan is a fantastic man and will work wonders at Liverpool. He doesn't only talk a good game but plays it to and we saw that last season with Swansea. Getting them promoted was fantastic and now moving to Liverpool, with a heavy heart he will need time to wins the fans over."
After the board stated Rodgers wouldn't have much to spend this summer, it seems fans are still expecting big names. "The fans need to realise that money isn't everything. The club [Liverpool] have so many good talents already in the squad and they need to utilise them before looking for big names"
Rodgers has already added Allen, Borini, Yesil, Sturridge and Coutinho. Now it seems the budget s dry and he will only get more money should he find players to sale first.

Young Liverpool and England under eighteen midfielder Conor Coady has completed a loan switch to Crawley Town. The midfielder will be looking to gain first team football which was highly unlikely this season at Anfield. The move will see Coady stay at Crawley for the season.
18 Year old Conor Coady has completed a loan move to Crawley Town in the early hours of this afternoon according to sources at Liverpool. The England under eighteen star has a bright future and is seeking playing time on the pitch.
Coady has been apart of the Liverpool set up since 2009 and has recently been showing some worth with plenty of interest from lower teams to take him on loan. Its believed their were five other teams in the hunt to take Coady on loan but Crawley proved to be his desired destination. It is believed Crawley are paying thirty percent of his wages whilst paying Liverpool two thousand pounds a month for the loan deal.
This loan move comes just days after Rush was praising the talent Liverpool had in their youth rankings telling fans not to expect big name signings and loads of money spent. However Rodgers is believed to be toying with several more loan deals away from the club to try and increase their first team football.
A source from Liverpool has claimed five other players have been offered out to clubs for loan with the most notable being John Flanagan. With over thirty loan offers made over the last few hours Rodgers is expected to have a busy day sorting the deals.

Liverpool's young rising star, Raheem Sterling has claimed he is more than ready to take the next step and play constant first team football for club and country. The young English winger made his Premier League debut last season for the club under the management of Kenny Dalglish.
Sterling signed for Liverpool under the reigns of Benitez back in 2010 for a fee of £600,000 from Queens Park. The fee could rise to £5million depending on how many first team appearances he makes. Sterling's first appearance in a red shirt came on the 1st of August 2010 in a pre season friendly against Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany.
Nearing the close of the 2011/2012 season Raheem Sterling was finally given the deserved first team appearance as he came off the bench against Wigan Athletic on the 24th March 2012. He went on to make two more substitute appearances last season against Fulham and Chelsea in the final couple games of the season.
Raheem is currently Liverpool's second youngest player to have played for the club at the age of 17 year and 107 days. Now he believes he is ready for a full season in the first team.
"I'm thankful for Kenny [Dalglish] for giving me the opportunity last season and now I want to make my place in the first team stick. My only aim is to be playing the best I can and impressing everyone."
