Updated 26/010/2021: Transfer and registration periods fixed, registration rules for new countries fixed.
WARNING! Barcelona, Ath Bilbao and Real Sociedad are playing the spanish cup in the first season, (and if one of them win the cup it will be invited the next season, lol, NGL I find it kinda funny, but it is still an issue I want to solve), also some other minor clubs play in the first season of the spanish cup, but they will not reach the fourth round.
There is a problem that prevents me from using advanced rules to solve one issue: B teams playing the cup. I always intended to use the advanced rules for this DB but I can't do the verification because of the European Nation League and the 3 countries “expelled” from Europe. Any help here is welcomed.
Basque Country is Euskal-Herria, which includes actual Navarre and the French Basque Country (Iparralde)
Euskal Herria and Galicia have 4 tiers, Catalonia has three.
All countries have prizes like best player, best young etc, first and second tiers have prizes for players, coaches and ideal teams.
Catalonia 1st tier has 16 teams, according with the leagues of european countries with similar population and development. By the same logic Galician first tier has 12 teams and divides in half after 22 matches, the same system as Austria, Slovakia and others.
Basque 1st tier has 16 teams. I know that by population and development the system of 12 teams (or even the weird Bulgarian system of 14 teams) fits better, but when I was doing it I found that Euskal Herria has exactly 16 in the Spanish professional system for the 21/22 system, so I did a 16 teams league. So please tell me if it is too boring and if it worths to make a 12 teams league instead.
I also did a youth league system for each country, mainly because I didn't want to loose teams like Val Miñor (Rafinha, Tiago Alcántara) or Antiguoko (Yuri Berchiche, Urzáiz…)
Each youth system have 2 tiers except Catalonia that only have 22 youth teams in the original database, so they all play in the youth first tier.
-Basque country double nationality is hard coded, so most regens are born with double basque-spanish nationality ~~but they only can be called by Spain~~ they have to choose between Euskal Herria and Spain (or France), but they tend to choose Spain (but not France). You can fix the nationality of basque regens easily with the in-game editor.
-Regen names: Depending on the save, names tend to be too much Spanish, mostly in Catalonia and Galicia. If it's your case, in my experience it can be fixed with the in game editor giving Galician and Catalan names to the regens of the first 2 or 3 years. In my experience you can do this far away in the save and still works.
-Andorra, Gibraltar and San Marino were expelled from Europe in order to make all the international competitions (both clubs and national teams) to work properly
-In the nation club coefficients screen (UEFA association coefficients) you may see a 0.000 in years in which there should be punctuation, but the sum is always done in the total, so the coefficients and number of teams qualifying to European competitions is working perfectly. It is an error of visualization and it doesn't happen in every save neither in every year, so don't be scared if you see a lot of 0 in your coefficient (I was scared) your league isn't going to loose European spots for this minor issue.
-I did the competitions in their languages, but basque is pretty difficult to understand so I put the short names of some of them in english.
-I don't speak basque so many of those names may be bad, if you speak basque please correct me, and sorry for killing your language 😢
-Issues with the fixtures solved, no more 15 days rest between league matches at the end of the season. League stops for christmast and new year as usual, now it stops until february, but there are cup matches during January so there isn't a vacation period (there should not be)
Any kind of feedback is wellcomed.
