Just need to dig in and keep it competitive. Another goal and we're out.

Is Monreal invisible? All I can fucking hear it's Neville moaning about Ozil when he has Monreal behind him doing absolutely fuck all.

Better team until the red card, though the penalty miss probably cost us more. Only real positive it's that Giroud didn't get on the pitch.

The 'best team in the world' to quote Sherwood and the league leaders till recently both lose 2-0 and both have about 12% possession.

English football is so far behind the rest of Europe its not even funny at the minute.

Don't see Arsenal getting back into this tie now.

So England need the referees to not send of players when they make red card worthy challenges to compete?

Not exactly a convincing argument.

Yeah, because that's exactly what I said isn't it.

Clearly the two best teams in the world are gonna fair damn site better against any side if they have a player more. Up until the red cards both games were very even.

I thought Arsenal done well until the sending off tbf, would have certainly been a closer game.

Shame they got the 2nd as it won't be competitive now.

I'm just not sure its a convincing argument unless they're undeserved.

I'm not having a go at your team, I think you did alright tonight, and I dread to think what would happen if we play either of these two teams. It's just sad watching how far English football has fallen since 2008.

It's obviously because Liverpool aren't in the CL anymore.

City and Arsenal also beat Bayern at home in the past year, but let's just ignore that to fit your narrative.

Every fucking year this "English football is in decline" is brought up, usually about 2 hours after people are praising the English league non-stop for being so competitive

On the way to English teams doing what? Something like their worst performance in the Champions League since the early 90s?

If we improve on that this season its going to be marginal.

And the only reason it's competitive is because everyones regressed in relation to the lower clubs.

Yes, that makes complete sense.

We probably won't even win.

European football goes through cycles. Teams go old and into decline, new leaner, hungrier, more innovative teams step up. This Bayern team are absolutely phenomenal, probably the best side ever.

English football definitely hasn't regressed. The rest of the PL has improved over the past few years. And certainly hasn't regressed in comparison to Europe, guys like Medel, Fer, van Wolfswinkel, Osvaldo, Giaccerini, Nocerino, Berbatov, Taarabt, Vlaar all willing to sign for bottom teams.

Not that strange given that the favourites were all away from home in the 1st legs

Not to mention them being group winners.
