I went to the match, we were very disjointed. The team didn't play like a team at all. Taking Herrera off changed the game I think, he was pretty good. I think the worst thing was our reaction to conceding the second, all we did was hoof it up to Fellaini, which is just pathetic. Jones I think was our best player, him or Herrera. We need a couple of defenders and a midfielder, who knew? Oh yeah, everybody.

At least this'll surely make the club realise we need a few new players. Come on Ed.

Onwards and upwards.

Definitely think the 3-5-2 is going to be ditched in the short term going on that first half performance. Too much is asked of the wing backs and not having genuine players suited to that role really showed. While a lack of a couple top level central defenders also hasn't helped.

Long way to go when you compare it to what a well oiled 3-5-2 looks like in the mould of a Conte's Juventus.

Despite I wanted him to go in the end, I felt sorry for Moyes when he was sacked.

After his comments this weekend I think he's a prick. So glad we got rid of him.

Thoughts on Rojo?

I've not seen alot of him but what I have, seems decent. I think he'll fit in and if i'm honest, glad to see the back of Nani. Just a shame it's only a loan and not perm that Nani moved on.

A good addition, but we need more, we overspent and bought him too late. But, he's not Vermaelen, so that's good.

Still need at least three more players imo. Another defender, a wide player and a midfielder. Hummels/Blind, Di Maria and Vidal please.

Goal think we're about to give Cleverley a five year deal.

For god's sake.

We need alot more depth to even give us a fighting chance of making the CL next season. I agree, Hummels/Blind, Di MAria and Vidal would be something special. I can't help think though, Dortmund won't sell Hummels, Di Maria has his heart set on PSG and I don't think Woodward has the skill to pull of the Vidal deal. Blind I can see us getting but I'm sure I read somewhere LVG wasn't 100% sure on him, which I find hard to believe.

Paul Scholes says he is "genuinely scared" for his former club Manchester United and fears they could disappear into the "wilderness".

Paul Scholes is genuinely scared he isn't making enough money to talk about United every five seconds.

I love him, but I do wish he'd pipe down a bit, return to his old habits!

He could be right though. "Wilderness" might be a stretch, but there is definitely potential to slip back into the pack amongst the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool if they're not careful.

Another horrid season without making the Champions League wouldn't be great. It could possibly lead to another managerial change and make it more difficult to secure the top quality signings who want to be playing in the CL. One horrid season is recoverable, two would merely increase the pressure tenfold. That's when it all could turn pear shaped.

Woodward will be the one that goes if we fail to get back into the CL, as long as we play half decent football at times Van Gaal will out last him. He might go anyway if we don't sign anyone else.

I do agree with him in a way, but he's said this so many times now it's getting annoying.

The Glazers continue to thrive while Manchester United flounder

A depressing read.

Basically what he's saying is good luck Fideo (Di Maria), even though it is at Man Utd.

For all the stick that Woody gets (probably deservedly) this, the Mata, Herrara (aside from the three amigos nonesense that no one really understands what happened), and Rojo signings have all been pretty well handled for a variety of reasons.

Great player and good signing, albeit overpaid but United need to if they want to get back in the top 4 anytime soon.

Still glaring holes to fill though, but there's nobody better at transitioning from defence to attack than di Maria.

And is Welbeck actually as shit as everyone makes out to be? Ollie G could be out for 3 months and the Telegraph are reporting that we're targeting him.

I hope we don't get rid of Welbeck. Great guy, loves United and a good player. We were much better on Sunday when he came on.

Independent say we're going for Vidal next. Also reading that Blind is nearly done.

He's a good player, good on the ball and for all the stick he gets for not being clinical was statistically one of the best finishers in the league last season.

We look a better side when he plays and he offers a lot that Rooney and RVP don't (mobility and pace) he needs patience and time to establish himself as a main striker, but if you give him that I think he'll really flourish. I really think we'd regret letting him go, can't you do us a favour and take Hernandez instead?

I personally think it's a no-go seeing as we flatout rejected your approach with Vermaelen unless you gave us a player. And no Hernandez is shit, same with Remy. As long as we stay clear of them two it's fine.

Remy's probably a better signing than Hernandez to be fair. Hernandez's decline has been remarkable, although I reckon its confidence as much as anything, Juve may well be a good move for him but I think he's done here sadly.

Not sure how much the Vermaelen stuff would affect things either, if Welbeck goes it will be because he wants to leave and I don't think we'd stand in his way as long as you ponied up; I'd be a little more annoyed that our short-termism with the RVP signing, pushed Welbeck to you than anything else tbh.

I'd like us to stick 7-9m in for Welbeck and see where it gets us.

Wouldn't want to pay anything near the 20m they want though, absolutely absurd fee.
