Well this season is going directly to plan at the moment, we are over achieving, we are predicted to finish in the playoffs and around sixth to eighth I believe. However with us currently leading the league table who knows what could happen this year, however its very close at the top.


Another unbeaten month as we faced five league games throughout November however slightly concerned with the way we finished the month though with two draws on the bounce. But we still picked up points which was the main point there.

We started with three games away, firstly a trip to FC Emmen who we narrowly beat three two. Karic put us infront before we conceded. We went infront once again as Kersten netted in injury time. Once again the host levelled before Kersten grabbed us the points three minutes from time.

The we went to FC Den Bosch who we beat three nil, a strong clean sheet. Kersten and Karic both netting for a second game running and putting us two up before the break. Kiracan made it three nil in the second half.

Back to back clean sheets were secured as we beat FC Volendam Karic made it three goals in three games for himself this month before Wiegerink netted from a second half penalty.

We'd then return home, firstly welcoming Sparta who we drew two a piece with. Throwing away a two nil lead. Karic netted after two minutes with Prins making it two nil in fourteen. But goals either side of the break saw us drop two points.

We then drew with Jong PSV who we also blew the lead against. Prade made it one nil in the twenty ninth minute, but a second half equaliser from the travelling side saw them advance.


Volendam produced the perfect second period and earn themselves a playoff spot. We are still top and have a tiny bit of breathing space as we sit just one point clear of second place Zwolle who still won't let us move away.Go Ahead bring up third place now sitting five points behind us.

The final month of another calender year was upon us, I think I write the same thing every month so yeah. Great to see the club flying so high at the end of the year, we just need to try and keep building on this now. It'll be tough though. Four games throughout December before we faced a month off of the football pitch.


Too many Christmas celebrations before its time seems to have cost us in this month, four games, three in the league and only won win along with two defeats whilst we also advanced in the cup once again, knocking out another higher league side.

We started at SC Telstar and kept a clean sheet, we were by no mean brilliant here and it was late. Gabriels netted in the eighty ninth minute which secured the three points and a strong clean sheet.

Then the form turned, a three two defeat against FC Oss was first on the cards. We came back from behind twice as Navarro and Gabriels both netted but we eventually slumped to a three two defeat.

It was exactly the same against FC Eindhoven as we lost three two once again away from home. We had second half goals for Karic and Prade but another three points dropped.

Finally we finished the month in KNVB Beker Fourth Round as we welcomed Heracles and beat the top tier side to advance to the Quarter Finals after extra time. We trailed before the break but a penalty four minutes after the restart saw us level through Wiegerink. The winner came five minutes into Extra Time as Zwaan netted for us. We will face AZ in the Quarter Finals.


And so going into the one month winter break we now sit second to Zwolle. Go Ahead won Period Three so now sit with a playoff spot come the end of the season. Zwolle are having a great time pushing us all the way and still haven't secured that playoff spot yet.

Happy New Year! the year of twenty thirty one is upon me and I'm not just a couple of seasons off where I reached back in FM12 however I think I'm a fair few trophies off what I had then. However this season is continuing to go very well, despite of down December I'm hoping the four games in January will boost our spirits.


It proved to be a very 'homely' month on the pitch as we played all four of our games at home in January, three league games which saw us win two and draw one as we remained unbeaten whilst we also played the Cup Quarter final game, narrowly missing out.

We returned to action and opened the calender year by welcoming Fortuna Sittard where we kept a clean sheet, winning two nil. We saw out a goalless first half before Wilson netted from a spot kick and then Prade netted nine minutes later on.

Welcoming Achilles'29 we had won all three of our previous meetings, however here it wasn't to be. We drew nil nil, two big points dropped.

We ended the month in the league with a three one win. We trailed originally before Navarro levelled before the break. De Jong made it two nil before Karic secured the win for us.

Welcoming AZ in the KNVB Beker Quarter Final and we lost out. Expectedly so but we forced extra time. Brito netted inside one minute and we were superb. Second half we conceded before we went on to concede two in injury time.


Zwolle begin to move away now sitting top over second place Go Ahead by three points and four points over us in third place. We need to try and get a few wins on the bounce, luckily we still have five points over fourth place.

Unlucky in the cup, shame to see you slowly slipping down the table! It's only 4 points, but it could be difficult to catch Zwolle now!

It could be difficult as wilc said but all it takes is a few wins in a row and Zwolle to drop points and you could be top.Hope you finish top as those playoffs are ridiculous to get through.

Still going to strong mate and the league is a real possibility providing Zwolle go on a losing streak.

Form picked up in January after a dweary December, but we'd need to continue this now as we wanted to catch Zwolle. They are having a great season, as expected I suppose however we still need to challenge them and not let them begin to run away from us, its been a thrilling league season to date and with us now out the cup it could be a good thing for us.


Slow start to the month losing against Almere City but we soon picked up our form quickly. Three wins and a draw sent us on our way whilst we also kept three straight clean sheets at the end of February which really has pleased me. Twelve goals scored in those five games to.

First a trip to Almere City where we blew a two nil lead and lost out three two. Wilson and Hendriks put us two nil up in six minutes but then we soon slipped down and ended up falling to a poor defeat.

A trip to Jong Twente saw us win five two! Absolutely superb to return to winning ways and against these 'jong' sides are always great. Karic netted twice whilst Kiracan also scored. Wilson converted a spot kick whilst Orcadio secured the win.

Welcoming high flying Go Ahead we really needed to win, unfortunately neither side managed to break the deadlock which saw us end up drawing nil nil.

Travelling to Dordrecht we returned to winning ways once again as we flew to a four nil win. Karic netted after ten minutes but after that it was the 'Prade show' as he netted a hatrick, a goal in the nineteenth minute before two goals after the break.

We ended the month with a win against MVV at home. Just a narrow one nil win will definitely do. Kersten netted just fourteen minutes from time as he helped secure the three points.


Zwolle continue to lead the way at the top of the tree as they now move nine points clear of us who have risen to second. Zwolle have also won period four to secure the playoff spot. Go Ahead slip to four points behind us now also already securing a playoff spot. De Graafschap are closing in on Go Ahead, now sitting a point clear. We have just nine games to go this season, its looking more and more likely that we'll miss out on the top spot and automatic promotion this year.

Into March and it was the penultimate month of normal league action before the playoffs will come in May and it looks increasingly likely that we will end up in the playoffs and not winning that automatic promotion spot back as Zwolle continue to have a superb season. Ignore the 'tattyness' of the screenshots, due to SI updating the new patch and the skins not working this is what I have to deal with till I can fix it.


Well not an awful month of league action as we went on to win all three of our homes games throughout March but the defeat and draw we picked up away from home will end up costing us as the defeat was against league leaders Zwolle.

We began the month at home against playoff chasing De Graafschap who we played well against winning and keeping a clean sheet. Both goals came after the break as Brito netted first quickly followed up by Kersten to secure a two nil win.

Then came the defeat at Zwolle, previous to this game we had played them three times and beat them three times however here they triumphed three two. Our goals coming from Wiegerink in the eighth minute and Brito in the sixty fourth as they ran away with all the points.

This affected our next game as well, we travelled to Jong Ajax and ended up having to come from behind not once but twice as we ended up settling for just a point. Karic levelled for us in injury time of the first half before Brito levelled for us four minutes from the full time whistle.

We finished the month with back to back home games and three one wins. First over FC Emmen as Navarro netted before the break whilst Karic and Prade both converted chances in the second half.

And then over FC Den Bosch, this time two goals coming before the break as Karic netted after the eleventh minute and again in the thirty third. Prade added our third three minutes into the second half before we conceded the consolation goal.


And so Zwolle are all but Champions now as they sit eleven points clear with us and a game in hand as we have just four league games remaining this season. We require them to lose all five of their remaining league games this season which doesn't look like happening when they've only lost three games all season!

It was always going to be a tough job and that defeat against Zwolle confirmed they were going to win it.Unlucky mate.At least you wrapped up your playoff spot early.

Still a slim chance of winning the league and I do mean slim but in reality Zwolle have the league wrapped up and you'll need to go through the hell of the play-off's again

Into April, the final month of the league action before the dreaded playoffs! It will be tough to gain promotion once again, we need to try and remain strong till the end of the season however and see what will happen.


Well, not the form you'd like to end the season with. Four games played and just the one win in our final month of action this month really wasn't the form of Champions and that we weren't this season!

We lost out to Sparta as we played very badly, losing four one come the end as Zwaan netted for us.

Our only win came as we welcomed FC Volendam and beat them two one. We led two nil as Prade and Wiegerink netted, the latter one from a spot kick.

A two all draw with Jong PSV wasn't ideal, Karic and Prade both scoring for us.

And to end the season a one all draw at home against SC Telstar as Kiracan netted.


Well, we finished down in third in the end, just behind Go Ahead on goal difference but Zwolle end up walking to the league title with a massive fifteen point gap. We face De Graafschap in the first round of the playoffs! Lets just hope we improve!

These playoffs are probably the hardest in Europe.You could get through but its a matter of luck aswell as skill I think.Is it 3 or 4 rounds of playoffs?

I think they probably are the hardest SBR but enjoyable I suppose, never straight easy! Its six games spread across three rounds should you get to the third round that is!

A year down the line and we are in the same position as we were in May 2030. Facing the dreaded three round playoffs for promotion to the Eredivisie! As already said by a few of you, probably the hardest playoffs in the world for us to face. We've played great football this year but slipped away at the end, could we do it this time around though...?


First piece of information before the playoffs, Cambuur approached me, they won the league last season if you remember but have had a torrid time in the top tier and dropped straight back down, this wasn't a job I wanted and the expectations I wanted so declined the interview, onto the playoffs.


Well for some reason we started in Round Two of the playoffs, maybe due to our high finish in the league. So we went on to face De Graafschap. We beat them at their place in the First Leg as Karic netted. The second leg was a lot more entertaining as we played out a three a piece draw. Kersten and Karic both netting in the opening twenty minutes whilst Klijn netted after the break. It was a close game but we were through to the third and final round.


Yes! Check that out! We faced Roda JC in the Third Round and beat them one nil at home in the first leg. Prins netted the only goal of the game as he struck in the fifty sixth minute. The Second leg saw us take a trip to Roda JC where we repeated the scenes of the last round, drawing three a piece. The game was a topsy turvey one which saw Karic net twice for us whilst Navarro also grabbed one, seeing up win again four three on aggregate, which meant...


Yes! We only had to play the latter two rounds of the playoff stages this season due to our high league finish and it paid off! We are promoted to the Eredivisie! I'm not sure if I'll be in charge next season but we shall see!

Love that. Eredivisie is a mixed bag of a division, you could easily jump up to mid table in your first year... however I'm sure you'll be hoping to jump to a better team before then and continue the mission

Incredible run of form for Zwolle clinching the promotion and until the last month of fixtures must had won close to 10 in row!? Nothing you can do about that kind of form Dan but a brilliant promotion claimed all the same, thankfully only the two games required to claim promotion this time around too! Looking forward to the challenge ahead next season. Should you stick around that is!
