£60M is fucking ridiculous.

I guess i can't really comment as I've not seen him play, but £60M for a player who couldn't get into Chelsea's first team. Really? I don't know what happened with him at Chelsea but that much money is a massive risk.

Granted he's had a brilliant season in the Bundesliga, but after failing once in English football, will he settle in and do well this time?

Seriously, Sam, this is a really daft sentence.

I actually think he's a great player and if someone like John Stones is being valued at the £40m mark it's probably only slightly more than he's actual value. Sadly.

I'm with that Chelsea fan on this one.

De Bruyne becoming this good was unforseen. Although I'm not sure what De Bruyne has done wrong? He wanted to play more football and then played a lot better. He made his point well.

Although he's had a poorish start to the season, so beware of a purple patch I guess.

Better in what way, though? I'd say he's done pretty good to be moving to a team with better team-mates and a significantly bigger pay cheque. I'm not sure how much he can improve on that with Wolfsburg, I can't imagine another successful season there would see him get much more than he is going to now or improve significantly as a player.

He just wasn't good enough when it came down to it.

I don't think he was particularly bad at anything and couldn't cope when expected to be the senior partner so should cope well at a club with lower expectations on him.

Blackett barely played last season, even with the injuries we had, played half of those games at left back, and was hardly great.

We're better off with Carrick as a makeshift centre half than Blackett I reckon if injuries get that bad again.

This is the official statement released by the French FA regarding the breaking news of Manchester United target Anthony Martial.

They said: "Anthony Martial was presented Monday at 11:00 at the gathering of the France team at Clairefontaine . He requested from Didier Deschamps permission to travel to England to sign a contract with Manchester United.

"Given the exceptional circumstances, the coach has acceded to the request of the player.
