Totally oversimplifying a method of playing football.

I don't see how utilizing wingers is "ugly", it's a perfectly valid way of playing football and it works. Don't see how it's any less ugly than the likes of City and Swansea (of the Rodger's era) pissing about 20 yards outside the box

It is a pretty British way of looking at football though tbf. The proof is in how much mainland European teams have gone past teams from the UK after adopting a different style of play.

It used to be a British way (certainly the public) way of looking at it. Now fans have went the other way and are completely stuck up about how they think football should be played.

Its the ugliest way to play football, i hate teams that just play direct and hope their players win headers and flicks, if they don't win them, they go again until they do etc.
