David Ornstein's pretty clued up when it comes to Arsenal but I just can't let myself get excited after how this window has been. I would be fucking delighted if we got one of them though.

Surely Real wouldn't sell Benzema as it'd leave them with Morata as their main striker? Unless they'd resurrect the Suarez interest?

Hours after a lot of people said the same thing, so at least he knows he isn't going to be wrong.

After Bale joins I suspect we'll finally get Falcao after that down payment we paid..

You've been trying to get his replacement all window, you feel, but everyone has turned you down. Mkhitaryan, Costa and Willian seem to be the sort of money you'd have floating around to replace him.

In other news:

Everton have said we haven't gone back with another offer, I genuinely think I could do a better job than Woodward.

I didn't say you wouldn't bring anyone else in, but if we get Benzema and Madrid get Suarez then I couldn't give a shit who Liverpool buy. Whoever it would be, they'd be a huge downgrade.

They weren't being bought as replacements. We've made a profit so far this window on transfers, and cut down on our wage bill, the money is there to spend.

I'm not sure the £1m or so profit this window, will quite offset the £80m or so of losses in the past couple of years
