Welcome to the first challenge for this years game, there will be 10 in total which will take us up to the release of FM21.
You've probably already guessed how this one works, simply take over the club bottom of the Premier League and do as well as you can with them. To make things a bit easier for you I have given them a large cash injection of £350m to the transfer budget, plus a £4.5m wage budget, so you can throw money around as you wish.
You've been quite lucky with the club as it's Southampton, I have removed all injuries and bans, plus called back the majority of the squad who were on loan for you.
Point Scoring
Relegated - 0pts
17th/16th - 5pts
15th/14th - 10pts
13th/12th - 15pts
11th/10th - 25pts
9th/8th - 40pts
7th/6th - 50pts
5th - 60pts
4th & above - 100pts (no chance!)
Finish with a + goal difference - 20pts
FA Cup Q-Final - 25pts
FA Cup S-Final - 50pts
FA Cup Runner Up - 75pts
FA Cup Winner - 100pts
Rules
To try to prevent cheating there is a maximum amount of saves allowed which is 8, this will help against save/reloading after defeats!

On subject, I think the board take away the transfer kitty, as I had about half of what I started with by time Jan 1st roles around.

That's strange but did wonder if they would. Hopefully it should be the same for everyone though plus that's one of the reasons I recalled a lot of the loans to give you all a chance to bring in more money through sales.

Bloody hell that's crap, if people want I'll redo the file to start just after the 1st and hopefully that'll give you all the correct starting balance.

I'd rather you all start with the correct amount and that's the main feature of the challenge. All depends on those that have already started but shouldn't mind as a fairly short challenge and staying again with a massive balance should make it more fun and also an improvement in results!

Can't remember how much I spent @Grimnir but was a good chunk of the money including two strikers. Was actually quite nice being able to spend money in the game without a care in the world
