I previously ran an experiment in Football Manager 26 that seemed to prove one thing: pace and acceleration were all that mattered.
After five consecutive promotions, a lot of people quite reasonably told me the test was flawed. The tactic was broken. The players had other attributes. The results meant nothing.
So I ran it again. Properly.
In this video I create three identical saves with the same club, the same manager, the same tactic and the same league. The only thing that changes is the attributes.
One database gives every player elite pace and acceleration.
One uses the most important secondary attributes according to FM-Arena research.
And one uses attributes chosen entirely by the Football Manager Reddit community.
Everything else is stripped down to the bare minimum.
Will the broken tactic lead all three to glory?

This is not about realism, and it is not about how you should build squads in a normal save. It is purely about what the match engine rewards when everything else is removed from the equation.
Make of the results what you will.
