30 Top old free DCs that can still do a job!

Thought I would rename this thread to provide a list of top quality old free DCs that can still do a job!
there's just so many out there that deserve a place in any side. every team needs an older defender that can pull the strings and be an inspiration to younger guys and here's the guys that can do it...

cant quite believe why this current international has been released tbh, I don't know too much about him IRL but he's defo interested and is in his prime. a must for lower leaguers.

I've signed this player a few times & he's the best in the lower leagues. beyond that, id look further.

signed this man so much that I almost call him a friend! lovely defender.

he maybe 37, but you cant knock his stats!



a great DC for Liverpool and he will still pull the strings in any defence.



still only 30 but he seems to have been around for ages!

often prone to the odd mistake, but he proved he can be a steady defender later in his career.

45 Ghanaian caps for this 34 year old cant be argued with. he would make a decent acquisition for any championship and lower side.



lucas has been a stalwart for a few English sides. he maybe 35, but he's still worth a shout.

this one is still at a club, but he can be signed for nothing. a 30 year old Mali international with great stats. what's not to like?

ok, I admittedly don't know too much about this lad, but he's an international with good stats so happy days!


this fella has played in England before and I don't think you can argue with his stats.



again, I don't know too much about this lad, but his stats look fine to me for a Senegal international.

again, another one I don't know too much about. but his stats speak for themselves. not an international, but I think Bulgaria became part of the EU didn't it? if not, I had a great holiday there and the beer was dead cheap.




defo wont get a WP as he isn't an international, but he would be a good bet for any other team. good stats so its weird why he isn't capped.




a really good strong, dependable defender this guy.



this lad will get WP due to him being half Italian. he will boss anyone's defence.

a Brazilian who will get a WP due to his half Italian heritage. plus he's played in the budesliga for ages so he will be a good signing.


ok, another one that isn't capped, but he's been making a name for himself in the MLS.


another one who is a big name in the MLS without a club. this guy is an international so WP shouldn't be a problem.



again, admittedly I don't know too much about this fella, but his caps and stats show that he is a worthy signing.

was bought for £400k a season ago so its a surprise to see him without a club.




a regular in the lower leagues and I've seen this guy play. will defo do you a job championship and below.

okay, 31 players, but who's counting? a regular in the German leagues. just needs a club.

I'm starting season 3 with Uniao de Madeira, the first season in Premier Liga Portuguese Zon Sagres, and I need some good DC with expirience. The only problem is that some of this player are already retaired or now is in role of coach/scout/dir. of football.

what's your budget, what cash do you have, and which position do you need?

Budget is 300k£, but I can't aford more than 3.5k£ for a wage. I need good DC and decent striker (just sing Adriano on free ) . I have on trial Edson (ST) but he wont over 5k£ wage, and I can't aford that.



On DC I have this players

a bit tricky for me to advise on the third season in a division im not familiar with! ha ha.
the striker looks great though.
some decent strikers I can suggest that may or may not have a club, is martin fenin, roope riski or keirrison.
