30 Capped Free Agents You Should Consider Signing in FM16 (revised)

Hi guys. With the imminent arrival of FM16 I thought I would do a couple of pre-emptive threads regarding freebies that I think are worth a look when you start a new game if funds are tight. All of these were free agents at the time of writing. Enjoy!

okay, I thought I would start with the obvious. poor old Ron! thought he was going to get a big move to a top club, didn't sign a new contract with Villa then got crocked! he is probably going to be out till at least January but I think everyone would agree that he would be a decent signing for any lower premiership side and would do a cracking job at shoring up the defence.

whilst we are on the subject of Dutch players, Urby is a quality DL who was a product of the Ajax youth system. seems to have been a bit of a misfit in recent years but he has quality and just needs a good home.

the enigmatic Ade. one can't help but feel that he has wasted his last few years. he is an accomplished striker and needs to be loved again. maybe a lower premiership levelled side would be a good fit, if he can roll back the years...

what a terrible situation Ricky finds himself in. unwanted by his parent club and loan club and now a centre of a transfer fee dispute. forced to train with his native velez, this gifted AMC in the pomp of his career has been unlucky. he would be a cracking signing for any premiership level side. defo worth a punt.

lets get the elephant out of the room and talk about this guy. he needs no description and no introduction. talented beyond belief. can you give him a home and for a workable wage? hhhmmm....

he was absolutely quality for the Hoff when they got promoted and he still has lots to offer now. he was on trail at Sunderland the last time I checked which could be a good fit.

a fantastic DR for Arsenal who still has plenty to offer and probably finds himself unlucky to be out of contract.

a bizarre fallout with manager slaven bilic finds this solitary capped winger on the freebie list. heavily linked with Sunderland and a reunion with big Sam.

I have always been a big fan of Wilson and I find it strange that he is without a club after nearly 100 caps for his country. a solid accomplished ball winner.

this raven haired striker definitely washes his hair in a mountain stream with Timotei and rinses it in puppy dogs tears. apart from that, he doesn't score much despite a fairly productive time at Celtic. sporting Lisbon are rumoured to be interested.

as far as I know, this quality DR hasn't signed for anybody yet so grab yourself a bargain! do I really need to introduce this guy?

possibly one of the best Romanian international strikers around for years and he finds himself without a club. worth a punt if his wage demands aren't too silly.

a Boro' legend! he was free at the start of FM15 and he still is now. a very versatile central midfielder who can still do a job.

this superb winger has probably left the Ukraine due to the conflict. the free agent has plenty of skill and would suit any top side. half Italian so his lack of caps wouldn't be a problem.

a great servant to the Greek national team with great leadership skills and work rate. a very good striker for counter attacking.

a solid if not magnificent DC who is defo worth a punt at top championship level. again, half Italian so a work permit wont be a problem.

played for the ambitious Anzhi last this Cameroonian full back. still got lots to offer despite his advancing years. worth a punt.

this northern Irish international DL seems to have been a free agent for a while despite successful spells with west ham and Sunderland. not the quickest, but 20 for work rate should not be sniffed at.

Luís Carlos Almada Soares to give him his full moniker. he took the platini title whilst carving out a career in Portugal. a solid winger who could do a job at championship level.

difficult to understand why this guy is still a free agent. west ham have been interested in recent times and as you can see, his stats are quality with age still on his side.

another one who was free at the beginning of FM15. lots of caps for Mexico and with some great attributes in flair, technique and dribbling.

it is always a good idea to sign from the middle east just to sell the shirts! this keeper would be a great back up for any squad if not a first teamer for championship sides. he has been a good servant to Standard for a few years. handling isn't the best but he has great attributes otherwise.

some lovely stats here for this Russian international. look no further than this guy if you need an experienced accomplished winger. he has been unlucky with injuries throughout his career.

training with Huddersfield town and in need of a new contract, this Irish international has been floating around the championship most of his career. just needs a decent run to prove himself.

an AZ legend here who is known for his flair and goal scoring. you cant go wrong with Belgium internationals at the minute and this AMC would be top draw for any top championship level side.

one for the lower leagues here. crap stats but what a record for Jamaica! I think its now 75 caps and 35 goals. enough said!

this ageing Colombian international DC still has incredible stamina and pace. if he was ten years younger he would be awesome in FM16. still worth a shout despite his age.

He is nicknamed El Galgo ("The Greyhound" in Spanish) because of his running skills or, less frequently, El Mosquetero (the Musketeer)
This Argentinian born footballer from Italy would grace any side wanting a great AMR.

this lad was a valuable member of the Algerian world cup squad. He now has 12 caps and 3 goals. a quality AMC with all the stats in the right places.
