Really hope we sign a better calibre of player than that, but Arsenal fans seem to want him so I guess its funny enough from that perspective.

Should have just given Vardy the Monday deadline and if no answer move on to someone else, if a player really wants to join he'll say yes straight away not make the club interested wait around.

Looks like we're signing Wanyama for £11m. Not the most exciting transfer in the world but I guess it's better than having Bentaleb/Carroll for backup.

Niko Kranjcar has signed for Rangers, penning a two-year deal. Good signing.

But as nice as it is signing midfielders, I feel the club still needs another central defender since Danny Wilson was suspect in the Championship, Dominic Ball has gone back his parent club, Rob Kiernan is decent enough and Clint Hill is 37 - wouldn't mind trying to get Ball back on another season loan to see how he fares in the top flight.

Unreal stuff.

In all seriousness if the contract length offers were true it makes sense on his part. The guaranteed extra year regardless of 5/10k increase at Arsenal would be a big difference for a guy that came into pro football so late
