He'll be 1-4 after the Chelsea game (0-4 in the league). Will they sack two managers in a row?

Congrats on your first referee rant in the PL thread

I'll see you
We're a banter club.
Should have had a pen in the first half but we didn't really deserve to win, judging by his performance today Coutinho won't be getting a big money transfer anywhere either.
I'm not one for bashing the bastards in the black but Mike Dean showing once again he shouldn't be refereeing in the PL. Gives fouls against Sissoko and Vertonghen for shirt pulling but doesn't book them. Then misses a clear handball by a Swansea player in the box but then does give a handball against Aurier despite controlling it on his chest while being fouled.

We were shit though, dominated the whole game and couldn't break down fucking Swansea.
Missed the game but saw we picked up 3 wins in a row... again, maybe my pessimism was premature. I like this feeling.

With Everton having a shite transfer window - and seemingly going backwards, Southampton seeming to have the same problems as last year - (7th is wide open - to aim for at least)

Anyway Newcastle are weird at the moment - Ritchie, Atsu, Lascelles, Hayden seems miles better in the Premier League than they did last year - Clark has stepped up and looks like a good Premier League defender, Mbemba and Elliott have came back in after barely featuring last year - And Merino is an absolutely ridiculously good signing.

We also seem more attacking than we did last year - which is weird
Newcastle really are finiding the rythem now!

Hope we beat Arsenal today. Would be crucial as I really don't see City dropping points against the smaller teams so we need to be on top in the games against the top 6.

Still think it will be a two horse race between the Manchester clubs.

Sanchez benched and Ozil not in the squad.

Should have let Sanchez go really.

I've been well behaved to now

Frustrating yesterday. Better than Leicester in every department. Pressed them to death. Murdered them on and off the ball. Finally take the lead, then give away a sloppy penalty and have to settle for a draw. The offside decision... Well, it's one of those. His right toenails were probably offside. Benefit should go to the forward, but at the same time it's so tight. I'm disappointed it went against us, it's cost us two points. Much tighter than the multiple goals Man City were allowed when offside. That linesman didn't help his case by being a waste of oxygen all afternoon - missed blatant fouls and gave almost everything the wrong way.

My biggest refereeing complaint is why didn't he book Mahrez and Gray after their dives? We've seen it so many times already, players chucking themselves down under minimal pressure, and yet the officials do nothing about it. Zaha and Gayle escaped punishment against us, and now those two.
Luiz is such a reckless cunt. Going to feel safer with him in the stands.

No Alexis & Özil and we looked very disciplined defensively, something that wouldn't have been the case if they were on the pitch. Think we should start big games away without them now in all honesty, just as detrimental as each other in these occasions.
Wayne Rooney really needs to retire.

And Lukaku is a monumental cunt.
Nah fucking hate it when players don't celebrate against their former club, fairplay to him

Difference of opinions then.

Still there's celebrating and there is being a cunt about it. Which I didn't get Rooney coming back to Everton as a hero considering he's wound them up over the years kissing the United badge

He's wearing their Pyjamas, give him a break!

Everton fans cheered his every miss and booed his every touch - more than right to give them some back when he scored imo
Strange to think Gareth Barry will become the all time Premiership appearance record holder today. I still remember watching him under John Gregory at the Villa when he had spots and a dodgy curtains haircut around 98/99. When he was a left back.
Such an underrated player.
Fine VLP for that. Not on.
Go on Niasse.

Officials did their best to fuck it up but glad we managed to hold on for the win, some terrible officiating though
What a shame, West Ham enter the relegation zone after losing their cup final. Get absolutley fucked.
Fine VLP for that. Not on.

Pleased that we have done. I don't want to see us diving. We're better than that, and VLP needs to learn. I agree with Sean Dyche's assessment wholeheartedly. Now we can move on. Ref got it spot on, deserves praise for having the balls to do what no other official has done.
Mightily underwhelming display, that. We weren't terrible defensively, and I did initially think Mbemba was fouled during the build-up to their goal, but we were poor offensively. Far too many shots on target that shouldn't have been.

Nevermind. We'll see if Liverpool's dodgy defence that'll have just come back from Moscow provides more returns.

It would be nice for Arsenal to actually defend. Rodriguez should have stayed down to get the penalty...

Could have at least had a goal by now.

Freddy Shepherd has died. A big figure from the big Premier League era.

RIP Fat Controller
Anyone else finding it quite amusing how bad Everton are doing considering every single pundit for some reason predicted them to be brilliant this season based on them spending a lot of money.
