Now that 2013 is days away, I feel it's a good time to share our favourite sporting memories of the year. There'll probably be a few well-known ones brought up but I'm sure there'll be some more obscure ones mentioned as well.

In no particular order, here are a few of mine;
  • Sir Bradley Wiggins' victory in the Tour de France.
  • Andy Murray's win in the US Open final against Novak Djokovic.
  • Tony Watt's goal against Barcelona in Celtic's 2-1 win at Parkhead.
  • Arsenal coming from behind to beat Tottenham 5-2 - twice.
  • Celtic destroying Rangers 3-0 in the last ever Old Firm derby.
  • Mo Farah's two gold medals.
  • Europe's amazing comeback in the Ryder Cup, on US soil, and all the tributes to Seve.
If I had to choose I'd probably go for Murray's victory in the US Open as my favourite sporting moment of 2012, although it's though to pick. I watched the Wimbledon final and was so, so gutted for him, and was more than happy to get only four hours sleep in order to watch him finally break the run and get his first major. I felt relief, more than anything.

Ireland being at Euro 2012 was pretty special even if we did get raped.

Roy Keane disapproves of this comment.

My worst moments of 2012 came every time Adrian Chiles was on the TV. Which was a lot. Cunt.

Keane wasn't directing those comments at the fans, it was directed at players that showed little fight and the FAI who were all to happy to use our great fans as a way of diverting attention from what was taking place on the pitch. Keano will never pass up the chance to attack the FAI after the Saipan incident and it's quite unfortunate that one of our greatest players isn't used in a positive manner with younger kids.

Worst moment would have been Agueros goal.

Bit of a personal moment for me, in this video at 5 minutes 14 im in that group of people Wiggo came over to and shook hands & high fived nearly all of us in the front few rows. Probably one of the best days ill have watching cycling and great to be able to say i was there when he won the tour

All these other things were nice events but not were as brilliant as a 'moment' than Aguero's goal.

Black Caviar's Diamond Jubilee Stakes win is up there for me.
The Bulldogs being minor premiers and going to the grand final. (Although the loss there was a big downer)
Any time Mark Webber basically said fuck Seb Vettel I wanna win a race cause I'm just as good lol.
Dunaden winning the Caulfield Cup.
Personally being on hand to see Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting hit 200's against India in Adelaide.

Zambia, if I'm going to be a twat who says things just to be different.

But if I'm serious it's either Andy Murray winning at Flushing Meadows or the miracle at Medinah.

The Olympics exists in its own bubble as far as I'm concerned, there are so many special moments in there that picking one is far too difficult as the best. How can you compare Sarah Storey to Jess Ennis or Peter Wilson to Laura Trott? That whole two weeks was just a massive erection.

Man City winning the league is the most exciting thing to ever happen in the history of sport. Probably.

Thank god Gary Neville wasn't in the booth for that match. There's this great moment where Tyler doesn't say a word for a good few seconds, composes himself and then colours it in perfectly.

Drink it in.

Yeah, Martin Tyler made that moment.

"I swear you've never seen anything like it!" and "Premier League dreams come true in blue!" were particular highlights. They were even better when coupled with the look on two of my Man United-supporting friends' faces.

Mo Farah, Jess Ennis, Jade Jones and pretty much all the GB Boxers in particular are the things i enjoyed most at the Olympics.
Marquez finally beating Pacquiao - nobody deserved it more
Harry Redknapp not getting the England job
not technically a moment but RVP being as good, if not better than i had hoped.

worst would obviously be that Aguero goal, but more than that losing the title on goal difference of all things.
Victoria Pendleton broke my heart a bit when she got disqualified in her first race
erm....
i have a really awful memory anyway....but i tried
