...watching South Africa - Cape Verde. Had forgot how much I hated the vuvuzela.

Loved how the crowd out-vuvuzela'd the dude trying to make a speech right at the start.

What a poor game to open the ACN. Infact both opening day games ended 0-0.

Eurosport's coverage is so annoying, the commentators are a second or two behind the action.

Eurosport commentators have always been second rate though. At least here in Norway.

The quick google attempt I made tells me they wear kits by Errea.

Same supplier as Norwich, Parma and the Iceland national team.

They did - in last year's ACN.

Kind of like that they're sponsored by an African based kit manufacturer.

jonas, excellent catch, thanks much!
franck, what jonas wrote -- congo-kinshasa is equipped by erreà, however -- apparently they (or airness) didn't renew the sponsorship contract.

all kasi from botswana supplied the botswana national football team with kits (haven't found out if their contract is still valid, i read somewhere that umbro took over). the all kasi kit had a great cut, nice pattern too.

Goalkeeper should be banned for at least ten games. Appallingly reckless.

Força Cabo Verde!

A good prof of what this tournament is all about; Morocco with players like Benatia (Udinese), Amrabat (Galatasaray), Belhanda (Montpellier), El Ahmadi (Aston Villa) and El Hamdaoui (Fiorentina) in the starting line-up underperforming and are lucky to only be behind by one goal, against a good collective where the biggest "star", Ryan Mendes, plays for Lille and have only started two games for them this season. Gotta love it.

Ethiopia have been wasteful and find themselves a goal down again in this game with Burkina Faso.

Earlier the Zambian goalkeeper scored a penalty to deny Nigeria a win and keep the group very wide open

Great final day action in Group A, with Cape Verde going through thanks to 90th minute winner. Tournament is picking up its pace.

Burkina Faso to the final. Well awesome. They hadn't won a group game since 1998 or something and now they've gone all the way to the final. Just too bad that Jonathan Pitroipa, one of the best players of the tournament, will miss out as he was sent off after being booked two times, last one for diving.
