Tactic for Europe

So I am the Rangers manager, doing well back in the top league in Scotland finishing 2nd but cant seem to make that final jump to the title. That isnt my main problem though as I think the tactic I am using will get me there but my problem is Europe does anyone know a good defensive tactic that I can use in Europe that will shore up my defence as I seem to be having some serious problems keeping goals out in europe!
