Corrupted Editor for FM10

I'm trying to tinker with a few files for my new career/story thing on FM10 but the game editor is saying "Unable to find default database. Please make sure installation is not corrupt." Any way to resolve this without re-installing?

You need to verify the integrity of the game cache from within Steam. I don't have FM10 installed, but I recall that is the right way to proceed.

Didn't have to be before. Admittedly I hadn't played the game in about 2 years but I don't remember there being these additional logistics.

Maybe I log out of Steam it might work. If not I'll just do that again.
