Why should he agree to a wage cut??
Im not saying he should agree to it, but he's been frozen out due to not accepting a wage cut, and everywhere I've read reports 200k a week as his demands, which is putting of a lot of clubs. So he's either stuck at Inter not playing, or going somewhere where they agree to his demands.
If he played like he was worth the £200k a week he receives, then maybe he wouldn't be in such an embarrassing circumstance. His agent/handlers probably want a lot of money as well, that's probably not doing him any good. He's supposed to be one of the world's top midfield playmakers and now he's being flogged half-arsed in January.

Hows it his fault?

Contracts work both ways, Inter are contractually obliged to pay him what they said they would for the duration of the contract. As far as I'm aware, Sneijder is willing to play so Inter have two choices sell him or pay him.

I think clubs not wanting him is because no one really needs him, and his form has been awful before and then he hasn't played a lot of football, rather than anything financial.

Bollocks, any club would take Sneijder if he was on modest wages and available on a free.

Well obviously, but there's plenty of players on big wages at all clubs around the world, if he was as good as he was 3 years ago clubs would be paying him that.

I very much doubt it, unless it was at one the Russian clubs or PSG.

Yeah, but I'd say that if he's not good enough to play for Inter Milan anymore, then although he is contractually obliged to be paid by his employers, for the sake of his career, he ought to be looking elsewhere. If he's still holding onto his massive wage packet, then he's not going to get his move. I would hate to see Sneijder waste his formative years at Anzhi or in the Chinese league.
I don't know but it just baffles me how United were in for him few years back, paying something like 30 million or something, and now he's available for like 8, his wage demands have stopped a move there.

Or the fact we've now got Rooney, Cleverley and Kagawa that can play that creative role.

He has a deal until 2015 and I wouldn't blame him if he just stayed put until then picking up his nice fat pay cheque every week. It's extremely poor how Inter have treated him, stating he's out of the team due to footballing reasons when it's quite obvious it's because they want to get rid of him and his high wages.

You can't enter into contract negotiations with a top player expecting him to take a wage cut and when he refuses throw your toys out of the pram, it's extremely unprofessional and at the end of the day they still have to pay his wages. The funny thing is if he doesn't move this month and doesn't play 10% of their games he can leave for free during the summer, so Inter better hope he doesn't get injured after January or they'll be the losers having to pay him and losing him for free.

His form has nosedived by all accounts as well.

Pretty sure his formative years have been and gone.

Yeah, that's the real shame. Given that his game is hardly about pace and power, you'd think he could easily play at the highest level until he's at least 34.
He's only 28 ffs.

His form can be fixed.
I dont understand this conversation anymore.

Eredivisie, La Liga, Serie A and Champions League winner, World Cup finalist, one of the best players of the past 5 years and you're worried about him not reaching his peak because he might end up going to China or Russia?!?!

It's a complete waste of a player to go and play in a shit league.
Russia isn't that shit.

How on earth is Sneijder in his formative years? He's 28, not 18.

Well Inter aren't playing him because he's refusing to take a wage cut, not because he's not good enough. I suspect his poor form prior to it didn't/doesn't help his bargaining position but that's not why he isn't playing.

But my point is if he was playing like a world beater money would be no object nor would the fact that clubs don't need him. We broke the bank for RVP, who is by all accounts on a wage very similar to Rooney, at 29 because he was that good. We'd do it again for Sneijder, and I expect thats true for most clubs, but he's not that good anymore.
True, that was a piss poor use of formative years, I meant that Sneijder ought to be moving into the peak of his career now. Russia is not 'that' shit, but it's miles behind the top four leagues of Europe.
Latest words from Sneijder provided from Tancredi Palmeri.

It's all fine. It's not an easy decision the one that I have to take. It's not said that I will decide within Monday. There are still two weeks before the end of the transfer window.

So it'd seem he's holding out waiting for a better offer. Time will tell I guess.

The pieces I've read was that you was in for him this time as well seeing he's on the cheap but the wage demands put you off it.
Fake apparently.
Joey Barton has tweeted saying Loic Remy is on his way to Newcastle.
Aye, 8m fee agreed with Marsielle.

Great signing, especially for 8m.
Hasn't he got some condition with his heart though?
Not that I'm aware of?

Doubt he'd pass a medical if so though, so we'll wait and see.
Yeah he has. Think it's similar to Diame, just needs a defibrillator on hand at all times incase.
Yeah it came up when he had his medical at Marseille.
He's had problems with injuries but 8m is a bargain. He could have gone for 15 this summer.

Another talent wasted and sold for less than he was bought...

Hope he does well up north with the rest of the frenh colony.
