You have to click on 'Show Positions' when the opposition instructions page.
As long as you set OI on the tactics page before starting a match or any-time a match is in progress.
If playing in a top league...stats above 15, example: opposite inside-forward has 20/20 pace/acceleration you might choose to close down never etc..
Also take low stats into consideration: opposite winger has low balance say 5, then you might want to tac...
